There’s an important story for Arsenal fans on the back page on the Times on Thursday as – once again – supporters are lead to believe that new contract extensions for star players Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are in the offing.

The headline in the broadsheet states “Sanchez and Ozil to ask for £250k a week”.

What’s clear in the Times’ update is that the German and Chilean stars seem to have the Gooners just where they want them, as in the club are now bending to the players wishes in order to keep them at the Emirates Stadium.

The current contracts for both Ozil and Sanchez expire in 2018.
