The truth is we love and want to live in the Canada of our dreams(whatever that may look like)become permanently residents and even citizens of a Canada that's working. If they believe tightening immigration laws and reducing the number of immigrants into their country is the way to preserve that Canada, then all good and well.

We want to leave here for a reason and won't want to see it become like what we left behind.
Laws come and go but hopefully Canada gets back it's former glory and we see these laws relax once again.

Just travel with any reliable airline like AirFrance or KLM. Yes, Niger airspace may be blocked, but reliable airlines already have a route around Niger that doesn't encroach the country's airspace. But if you want to be super careful, then take United. United may go from Chicago O'Hare or any other hub will will go straight over the Atlantic through Senegal to Nigeria. There'll be no need to go through Niger.
