Lessel:quote author=Freemanalee post=87380758]Some people here on Nairaland are just too myopic and deluded A lot of Nairalanders kept bashing SLS without actually knowing a thing or two about him or why he was dethroned and banished Anyways I have time. Let me educate some of you. I reside in Kano for more than a decade now and I must tell you why SLS isn't loved by Kano elite and Kano Government. 1.SLS angered the Kano Elites when he once emphasizes the need for mass encouragement for girl-child education. The truth is, accepting change here is quite cumbersome 2. He criticized the Kano Government for not doing anything about the alarming poverty rate in the state 3. He also criticizes the almajiri system 4. He once tell the Kano people to build more schools than mosques because he believes any one could build a mosque to seek for Allah's blessings but building schools means building human capacity which according to him is better. If you must know, the northern politicians use religion to achieve their political agenda. They believe Mosques are cheaper to build than schools. So the politicians use the money meant for community development to build mosques while inflating the cost. And because the masses are gullible, building a mosque or Islamic schools are regarded as good and distinctive political points 5. He was the man that angered the Kano Elites when he stressed the need for one man one wife, backing his claim with the Holy Quran. This is because he saw the danger of overpopulation and poverty. But the Elites sees this as political sabotage since they need more population for their political machinations and what comes to them from federal allocations 6. The final straw that broke the camel's back was simply because he openly criticized the malpractices carried out in the last Kano election that resulted to INEC declaration of the election as inconclusive. SLS is a man who say the truth no matter the consequence(s). Truly he is paying for being bluntly outspoken and honest. So if you know nothing about this man or why he was dethroned, kindly shut it.
(Thank you so much) |
When a man has a Library of this quality, it shows the stuff he's made up of. |
In form 3, I beat a girl classmate to the point that phisiotherapist worked on her right arm. I learned since then how to respect the female gender because I escaped being expelled by whiskers. |
famology:I think the issue is whether a high court can upturn the judgement of another high court of justice. But what do I know! |

Wahala dey o. |
Nigeria's matter is more than meet the eye. It's not ordinary that we're like this. I think there's either an ancestral curse or hellish design. How can you explain this to any rational person?. Honestly, it's a jinx. But I have solace in the fact that it has been scientifically proven that many blacks share the DNA of a chimp. |
Whatever happens to switching off the phone whenever in the act. That risk is not worth it na. |
FloraEC:Your reply is apt, sensible and matured. |
Democrazy waiting for its burial here. |
Rain curse or rain cause?? |
Please, run for your dear life. It will get worse after marriage. Act now and thank me later. |
This is a great move. However, it should be noted that Nigerians are difficult to control when it comes to corruption matters. Measures should be put in place so that other means of extortion is not devised. There should be a red alert desk where direct complaints can be made in case of infractions. |
Hilariously creative! Gbam! |
To beat coup d'etat! That's all. |
The quoted values are in dollars. To get the Nigerian face value, multiply by # : $ exchange rate. Then you will know bose nlo. |
It amazes me when people put mouth in things they lack knowledge about. In Forest operations, there are emergencies and students must go through such emergency training for future operations. When such a training is in progress, rubber snake as dummies may be used apart from the fact that snakes for training are not poisonous. Cadavers are used in hospitals for training of Doctors and nurses. That lecturer should be commended instead of been vilified. |
Criticising an administration doesn't mean you hate that administration. If he's made the commissioner of education, maybe he can turn things around, I think the Governor knows better. Let him continue is teaching and research work, the state may not deserve him for now. The state's legislature is surely a rubber stamp. |
Let the tribunal do it's work. This is prejudicial. |
But that number of bags for voters' education? Investigation is necessary. |
