I'm 99.9 percent sure that if we hear the guy's part of the story, he would be the one who deserves pity.
Guys don't just walk away from an engagement for dumb or silly reasons. In all the situation where I have seen a guy walking away from an engagement, and I repeat "all", it was because they found out the woman was cheating. Period.

The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) needs to get its act together before their programmes become a total joke! The things I see while doing these TMAs...

Please endeavor to make constructive criticisms in a way that will help the school authorities get their acts right. Not by tarnishing the entire image/credibility of the school and its degree programs like you just did with this post.

I'm also a student of NOUN and although I'm not happy with some parts of the school's system, I also believe that the school is still a work in progress.

The school's site has been improved.
They replied the last email I sent to inquire about my graduation problems.
The POP exam has been going on smoothly so far without any postponement.
The issue of missing results have also reduced,

Please learn to criticize in a way that will help the school improve on its weaknesses.

Just my observation.

Students that were able to graduate from this school before now should consider themselves lucky. From my observation, this school is suffering from maladministration. Students who experienced the Tenebe Era will understand what I'm saying. Dead website, no response to students' emails, No adherence to academic calendar, and too many other irregularities. I pray we all graduate and get our certs successfully

This NOUN website is becoming a joke for real.
Is the school not having enough funds to hire professionals that can manage the site efficiently?
Nairaland, a site owned by one individual, is one of the most visited website in Nigeria yet the site is up online 24/7. If the NOUN management does not have enough money to host the school website on a reliable server, they should please move the site to a reliable free hosting like .com make we the student kukuma know where we dey

Please when was your last semester?
Please I've a question. During my 300 level year, the available gst course on my portal was GST301 which I wrote. My name didn't appear in the last graduation list and I'm trying to register another semester to see if I can register a few more elective courses to increase my TCU but I noticed that the gst course available for 300lv students is now gst302. Is it advisable that I register the new Gst302, despite the fact that I've already written Gst301 before?

NOUN Undergraduate Transcripts Application Guidelines

Thanks for the information.
I have read the guidelines as explained on that page. Below, I quote a paragraph which listed the documents that an applicant should submit when applying for their transcript of academic records
The application should include all necessary details of the applicant (full name of applicant, matriculation number, programme, faculty, year of graduation, full address of destination, and designation of recipient (e.g. the secretary, the dean).
Attach a photocopy of your National Open University of Nigeria Certificate.

How do I get the bolded documents if my name is not yet on the school's graduation list?

Please help, or is there something that I am not understanding?

Danke fur de motivation.

I wish everyone of us the best of lucks.

SooCute:
Hearty congratulations newly admitted! Lob sei Gott!!
Apologies for those i am unable to respond to their PMs na hustle cause am.

I wish to thank all the contributors in this forum. just to add to what @Eldee narrated, i'd list few things that you might need to consider now you might still have time.

1) Get a drivers licence/learn driving. My company offered me a car, but i no get license. it will give you access to wide range of job opportunities. I no come fit spend 1800 euro plus the time to get am sharperly. To buy car here easy...sometimes you might wanna be sassy-classy grin grin grin grin grin grin grin.renting a Mercedes benz here for trip (better one is about 5 euro/day) Suffer nogo kill you for this life.

2) Equip yourself. I got many opportunities. Forget dirty jobs, neat ones dey too grin grin grin grin grin if you clean yourself from home.
example, i got an offer as social media content management/development (just be snapping photo for them, editing with photoshop/InDesign and upload in their social media platforms like their Facebook account, Instagram etc for 15euro/hr). Challie, i no sabi photshop ni. As a sharp guy i asked during the interview if i can learn in 2 weeks, they said "leider nicht".(Unfortunately no). Fvck! i lost the job and missed the fvcking cozy office grin grin grin grin grin grin
Like i earlier mentioned, learn any functional programming language, u go be chairman. I also got a Nach hilfe (Extra-moral class for kinda SS3 mathematics class) 25 euro per hour. So you see?

3)If admitted, act with faith (I did so). Study related topics you might be needing for your future course. Revise your old notes. If you have access to internet, download or follow verified tutors on youtube. The thing is, you might not understand everything yet, but when you have an idea, its easier to ask the right question when it shows up in class.

4) Accommodation is a huge challenge (not a problem). If you are like me that like to be comfortable, apply for SWG in your city. This should be one of the earliest stuffs you should do. It's a government owned housing agency...their rooms are perfect and spacious with dining. Me i cannot comman squeez myself in one box and still pay high rent. SWG houses are fucking cheap. Embarrassingly cheap.
If you rent under someone, you can be kicked out, its not secured. But SWG, you are renting direct from gwomenti. everything is standard.

5) If you are like me that had no one to pick me from airport and you no wan dey jump train or miss road, abeg avoid the stress. There is a reliable transportation here called Flixbus. When you are sure of your travel date, you can contact someone here to book it for you from airport direct to your city. It is even cheaper and more comfortable than train.

6) If you can learn how to barb or shave yourself, you are luck. Buy clipper. Learn it if possible. i was forced to. normally barbing here, cheapest is 10 euro. Shaving 3 euro. When i came newly, i barbed for 29 euro, mostly need to barb 2wice a week, when i did the maths, e no soft oooo. Alaye na polythene bag you wan use comeback naija

7) Open a euro account with a reliable bank. Get all the details, if you are married and you trust your spouse, make it a joint account. In fact, find a way of dumping euro in Naija when you come here. If possible, make a possibility that your spouse (back home) or your siblings or your lawyer or your best friend can be able to withdraw the money if you authorize.

cool You will meet so many small children here. Don't be deceived. If you don reach to marry, marry. No dey do baby-pan-cake. shatap ya mauth grin grin grin grin. Truth is, you will never remain young.

9) If you are wishing to marry oyibo or oyibo marry you, get prepared. What worked for Mr A might not work for Mr B. What i mean to say is, prepare other strategies. No go abandon school unto all-is-in-order. People no dey hard to frustrate for this town. If e no dey for paper, no be you get m, even if you give oyibo belle, if she no go declare am for office, you still dey on a long thing. If you catch the one wey love you, she go even cry make you marry am, even carry am go Naija. But the thing is, you are the Nigeria she is seeing. Some of us here dey mumu. creating very silly impressions. When i see them i just turn left. Nonsense.

10) Within your last few weeks of travel, go for proper medical checkup (I checked everything grin grin grin grin grin). Be sure you treat any of our tropical sicknesses. Because if you carry malaria come here, na ambulance things. But here, malaria no dey to the best of my knowledge. I go hospital tell them say "doctor na malaria....na my normal sickness for nigeria, whenever i dey feel like this, i just know say na malaria" i just dey talk like small pikin, at he end, no be malaria. Shame no dey gree me go there again grin grin grin grin. come with some drugs if you wanna. its not necessary if you ask me.

11) Don't learn the language! As a big boy/girl na nonsense grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin I am an opposite living testimony.

12) There are many things to distract you here, even your fellow blacks....in fact Nigerians. Get ready for it all. Know what you want and go for it. Don't reveal too much about your personality. Sadly, na person wey sabi you go betray you.

THIS IS YOUR GERMANY;
YOU PRAYED FOR
YOU HOPPED FOR
YOU INVESTED IN
TAKE IT FVCKING PERSONAL!!!!!!!

K'emesia.

we all regretting joining the school oh. I finished my program since 2017, 2 years and still not on the graduation list. Their disregards for students welfare is already telling on the school. Imagine a school that is graduating 20k+ students while matriculating a mere 17k fresher in it's recent matriculation (majority of these freshers are going to run away after experiencing only one semester of the school).
let NOUN keep frustrating their students and expect the school to progress. They don't know that majority of intending applicants to the school first make enquiries about the school from we the existing students before they decide whether to apply or not.

I'm cool. Before I made the payment yesterday, the lady that I called on 07063376616 told me that I will receive a confirmation email containing my registration details by yesterday evening. I didn't get any email and I called her back today, now she told me to call her back if I didn't get any email after 10 minutes. I waited 30 minutes, still no email. so I decided to call her back. I have called thrice and she just allows the phone to ring without answering.
Education / B.Y Mafit Took My 45,000 NAIRA For TOEFL Registration by lexdino: 9:47am On Mar 15, 2019
And they stopped picking my call.

I thought they were legit after visiting their website at gregmattoeflnigeria .com and finding out that they have an alleged physical location in Lagos(I stay in Benin), and reading testimonies from other Nairaland members who claim to have registered their TOEFL through them.

so yesterday, I paid 45,000 Naira to their GT Bank account (Account name: B.Y Mafit Limited, Account number: 0051522264)
for the TOEFL registration and they promised to send me an email after registering the TOEFL. I didn't get any such email and I called them back today, they stopped picking my call.

Update
They have processed my TOEFL registration today March 21, 2019, the delay was due to the high volume of applications that they had to handle (according to the explanation they gave me).
They are legit and I will recommend them to others who intend to register the TOEFL CBT test because it is cheaper (45,000 Naira compared to $195.00 on the ets.org website).

I was against this "jibril" propaganda but after seeing this pix, it is beginning to seem real.

if you look at the neck of this 'new' Buhari, it appears to be fuller at the back compared to that of the old Buhari.

if you also look at the nose tip of this new Buhari, it curves downward while that of the old Buhari points straight out.

This new Buhari's face also seems bigger than the face of the old Buhari.

When you also look at the old Buhari smiling, you see a wrinkled cheek muscle but this new Buhari has a very smooth looking cheek.

Just my observations anyway.

Well earlier this year lost mine to BUHARIA AND BAD CORRUPT GOVERNMENT, CORRUPT JUDICIAL SYSTEM AND A PROVE TO ME THEY DELIBERATELY DON'T WANT NIGERIA TO MOVE FORWARD

I INVESTED IN ELECTRICITY GENERATION....

BOUGHT ENOUGH GENERATOR AND SOLAR PANEL TO POWER @LEAST A COMMUNITY AND GIVE THEM 17HRS ELECTRICITY A DAY.... I went to NERC(NATIONAL ELECTRICITY REGULATORY COMMISSION) got a permit and started generating just after a month EEDC lost that community to my own electricity... The next thing same NERC that gave me permit now came am ask me to get a LICENSE INSTEAD but their rule said u can only be given a license if you're generating enough power to serve a STATE but anything below that is ordinary PERMIT from them....I went to court nothing came out of it....and the LICENSE IS ABOUT #200,000 000

MY INVESTMENT WAS ABOUT #17MILLION

FROM THAT DAY I KNEW FOR SURE NIGERIA WAS NEVER DESIGNED TO PROGRESS.... ITS NOT ABOUT CANDIDATES OR PARTY its about the FOUNDATION ON WHICH NIGERIA WAS FORGED. I sold all my machinary, wires, poles and solar panels... And went back to CIVILIZATION and I will never step foot in Nigeria again till we get BIAFRA

WHEN KANU SHOUTS NO VOTING IT SEEMS ITS ALL ABOUT BIAFRA HE'S ACTUALLY TRYING TO GIVE YOU PEOPLE YOUR POWER BACK.... BECAUSE ALL THE POLITICIANS ARE THE SAME....ALL THEY CARE IS GET YOUR PVC... GET YOUR PVC LETS VOTE HIM OUT AND VOTE THE OTHER IN, AT THE END OF THE DAY.... THEY WILL ALL MOVE IN TO RULING PARTY AND RECONTEST... AM SORRY AM SOUNDING POLITICAL BUT ITS THE CAUSE 90% OF BUSINESSES HAS FAILED

@ the bolded is the most sensible political statement that I have read in a while (though I am not convinced that Biafra is the way forward).

Nigeria was built on a foundation that only provides for the survival of the fittest(those in power).
Reason why our leaders can loot any funds available at their discretion, without having fear of repercussions from the embittered citizens. And having being dominated to inhumane levels of poverty, the embittered citizens will happily offer their conscience in exchange for peanuts during elections. The cycle can only keep getting worse.
Reason why a common basic amenity such as 24hr constant electricity supply will never be possible in 500 years if the status-quo is allowed to remain.
Reason why those with guns can brutalizes civilians without any fear of repercussions.
Reason why we spend 4 years in our so-called unis studying stories and theories that are of no use in real-life situations.
Reason why religious leaders make billions from preying on their sheeples because the sheeples live in a quiet fear of poverty due to the fact that government doesn't care about the living conditions of ordinary Nigerians. (Imagine the present ongoing agitation over an ordinary minimum wage of 30,000 Naira? 30,000 Naira that isn't enough for my monthly feeding expenses even though I am a single guy that does his own cooking jejely.

I don't like hearing people referring to my motherland as a shithole but in reality, it is what our leaders have made it into.
Only a well-planned forceful revolution will be able to successfully alter the present faulty foundation upon which the present Nigeria was built, and set the country on a path of prosperity.

Unfortunately, I am not willing to risk my life by partaking in any of such revolution.

If I apply to the universities on the Uni-Assist portal using my original date of birth (Since my original date of birth is what appears on my passport and birth certificate), and I mail the certified copy of my WAEC certificate that carries the wrong date of birth to Uni-Assist, along with the signed application form that carries my original date of birth, will the conflicting date of births affect my admission to the universities that I am applying to?

You could certify it at a notary public or take your signed application form with other application document to the embassy and certify.. then send the waec and form to uniassist..its free there ....no way waec would certify your document

Certified copy by uniassist means photocopy of original certified by either notary public or the german embassy

Guys please help me out here. Uni-assist asked for a certified copy of my University Entrance Certificate to be mailed along with my signed application letter to their address in Germany.
Today, I went to WAEC office here in Benin city to get a certified copy of my WAEC certificate but the WAEC officials I met were telling me that WAEC doesn't certify copies of their issued certificates. They said waec can only send a transcript of my result directly to the university that I am applying to.

I am a bit confused now. I thought the meaning of the "certified copy" that uni-assist demands was a photocopy of my original WAEC certificate that has been verified by WAEC to be in synch with the original copy
