Banky W , boss of EME is set to find a young musician to replace Wizkid after their breakup and as the strained relationship between the two has finally snapped. He says he is doing it “just to teach the kid a lesson”. Both had been trading words on social media as it concerns their crashed business relationship. Devastated by Wizkid’s refusal to renew management contract with Banky’s EME outfit, the America-returnee khas begun scouting for someone that would create a bigger effect on the music scene than Wizkid just to make a point in the industry. “He wants people to know that he can make and unmake”. it remains to be seen if Banky can produce another Wizkid as the young chap has also formed his own record label, Star Boy, even before he parted ways with Banky. After the album launch, Banky twitted “hello guys thanx 4 attending my album launch. Wizkid, I made u who u re 2day, although ur impact will b felt, but u re replaceable cuz am going 2 sign a better artiste dat will replace u”. Wizkid responded by saying “ can’t get a better artiste dat will replace me, u took my loyalty 4 stupidity and I need 2 move on with life”.So do you think anyone can replace our boy Wizkid ?? Or is he really replaceable ![]() http://evatese./2013/03/14/banky-w-looks-to-replace-wizkid-wizkid-says-he-is-irreplacable/ |

Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun (Wizkid) will no longer be just a singer and song writer but a record label boss as he floats his new music label Starboy music. Last month, Wizkid dropped the bombshell that he was leaving E.M.E, the label that threw him in stardom and now to “start all over again.” http://evatese./2013/03/06/wizkid-no-longer-a-singer-but-now-a-record-label-boss-star-boy-music-video/ |
obasy09: By decamping, do you mean the service year is terminated? Or does it mean they can return to their PPA after the camping period. Pls reply asap.it means they would go home after registration and return to collect their posting letters when camp ends |
This happens at every camp. Suddenly all the guys and ladies are all single and ready to mingle. Married women remove their rings especially the ones who are still looking young and attractive. Some purposely break up with their partners because they are coming to camp thinking they would find their one true love. SMH. People have that dumb belief that camp is a place to get your groove on. Personally, to be sincere I had that thought till I got there and realized it’s not just worth it. The saying that what happens in camp stays in camp is true. All those guys and babes that act as your camp boyfriend and babe for the three weeks after camp is most times short-lived as things will definitely separate you like , you might not be posted to the same local government , some may redeploy and some after camp they resume their relationships that was on hold for the said ”fun” So ladies this advice goes for you, don’t be over carried away by any guy who promises you continual of you camp love afterward because then you would really be sitting on a long thing. lol. Don’t get carried away by the freedom, be cautious, People do crazy things at camp under ......... http://evatese./2013/03/05/nysc-camp-relationship-advice-for-the-single-and-ready-to-mingle-corpers/ http://evatese./2013/03/05/nysc-camp-relationship-advice-for-the-single-and-ready-to-mingle-corpers/ |
Concerning nursing mothers and pregnant women, you would not be allowed to stay fully in camp for the 3 weeks. After your registration you will be decamped because they feel that the camp is not conducive enough for your condition and state of health. The policy is done to forestall avoidable emergency that may occur to the expectant mothers during the 3 weeks orientation Program, which entails some rigorous physical exercises Also the camp clinics are not equipped enough for pre and post-natal services and maternity emergencies and treatments. And the strenuous exercises in the Camp which may jeopardize the health of the mother and the unborn child. The clinics on camp are emergency clinics some hide to stay because they want to enjoy freedom from home maybe or just do not want to miss out on the fun. As I say it is once in a lifetime experience o. Well for some pregnant corper that are not that heavy and who insist they must be on camp and doge officials who would want them to leave, they can be given exemption letters form the camp clinic to be excluded from rigorous activities and some stressful exercises. Serving with pregnancy is definitely not an easy adventure because you cannot compare yourself to a fellow corper, who is not pregnant. For those who want to stay, pregnant women are given priorities in some things like the almighty queuing up. The environment of the camp though conducive is not suitable for nursing mothers while pregnant corps members cannot go through the various exercises and other rigorous programs. So my candid and sincere advice is that pregnant and nursing mothers should just abide by the decamping rules. Have a lovely time . If you have further questions don’t forget to ask . http://evatese./2013/03/04/quick-tips-for-nursing-mothers-and-pregnant-women-in-nysc-orientation-camp/ |

Quick Tips And Advice For Youth Corpers Before Leaving For Orientation Camp 1. There are washer men and women available at your disposal for mostly the Aje-butter children and those who do not want to stress themselves. I can proudly say I used them. Registration stops 12 midnight preceding swearing –in day. 2. Never forget to wear your cap 3. You would be given your meal ticket. Never misplace it. I actually never used mine till end of camp. 4. I never knew what otondos meant ==MUMU 5. Adjustment of clothes: You definitely have to adjust your khaki given, no one escapes this. Make sure you do this on time and also make sure you follow those tailors up if not you would be given flimsy excuses. Ensure you negotiate price for adjustment very well. They think you have money to waste. 6. You would meet different types of human beings the crazy, spoilt, razz, dirty, complicated, stupid, holy, party, drunk, beautiful, ugly, different tribes etc. Be open-minded and smile at someone. New friends! The truth of the matter is, you shouldn't go through camp alone. 7. Read your call up letter thoroughly both back and front 8. Just have enough t-shirts and shorts to wear throughout the week because some camps, the activities are time consuming leaving little or no time for you during the week till weekend. 9. You will be fed three times a day in camp, but the food is barely edible. The kitchen is run by incredibly hard working women who are assisted by fellow otondos from different platoons assigned to the kitchen for each meal. 10. If you are someone who loves to eat good food, or you don’t want to have the mammy feel, no problem just come loaded to camp with provisions. Like cereals and beverages, garri, biscuits etc. You should also hold extra cash to eat at the Mammy market, you will get good food there and won’t spend much to eat well, and the price however depends on the state to which you have been posted. 11. There are places available where you can charge your batteries at the camp market. 12. Always fetch water down for the next morning. You can be shocked that water supply might finish before it gets to your turn and that’s the end for you .As for drinking water you either bought pure water or bottled water; there was no free drinking water whatsoever. 13. Ladies try not to go with heavy or synthetic hair to avoid excess heat and time to care for it. You could advisable make short hair to avoid heat and save time, I did a short hair which lasted me three weeks, braids is also advisable, don’t do lace wig or even fringe. 14. Pocket Money: The question is “How much money do you really need for the NYSC Orientation Course, you will be paid a N1, 500 allowance once you arrive the NYSC camp and also another one (first ALLAWI) after 3 to 4 days on camp. if you intend to drink and hang out at the Mami market, then you can take more money depending on how much you can finish, be wise though! 15. Just be prepared to wait in line for EVERYTHING 16. The bathrooms and toilets are nothing to write home about. It is always dirty and terrible in fact if not careful disease could be contacted. Well some ladies don’t know about guys, had buckets for the sole purpose of relieving themselves with what I can call 'pit bucket' 17. Do not dare the soldiers, some can be ruthless and you know they have authority to deal with you in name of discipline. 18. Always switch your phones off or put them on silent while on parade ground. Just don’t bring it out, it could be seized and destroyed not minding if it’s a blackberry z10. 19. The accommodation was something else. Rooms were jam-packed with little or no space to pass and walk freely. I had up to 60 roommates if not more. It was always stuffy, dirty and ventilation was poor. 20. There are fellowships for Christians and Muslims. The 3 recognized associations are NCCF (NIGERIAN CHRISTAIN CORPERS FELLOWHIP), NACC (ANGLICAN) and MCAN (MUSLIM CORPERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA). But there were others like Redeemed, Winners, catholic, Christ embassy and deeper life. So you could make your choice. Also they have morning devotions and weekly service. Overall, the NYSC camp was fun and I met a lot of people and I can say it was worth it was well worth it. It is an experience every Nigerian should have. I will be here waiting to see you again with your comments and experiences on camp. Till then wishing you a successful NYSC YEAR .may you all go and come in peace and not in pieces. http://evatese./2013/03/03/quick-tips-and-advice-for-youth-corpers-before-leaving-for-orientation-camp/ |

Hello larrybillz , its not a bad idea o. But if you have somewhere to crash before tuesday then i can say thats the best idea. |
Congratulations otondos as you have seen where you have been posted to. To make life easier and smooth I would give you hints about what to do and what to expect on your first day. Courtesy: EVATESE BLOG. After receiving your call-up letter, you are expected to report to the orientation camp of the state you are posted to on the date specified on the letter. You will reside there for a period of 3 weeks. It could either be THE BEST 3 WEEKS OF YOUR LIFE or THE WORST 3 WEEKS OF YOUR LIFE. The choice is totally yours. Most people say that it is advisable to get to camp on the second day and third day so as to avoid the hustle. From my experience, arriving early actually paid off for me. It wasn’t like I arrived by 6am but at least I got to camp by noon. Now this advice varies from camp to camp. Those camps that are always filled up like Lagos, Ogun, Abuja, Oyo etc. are always crazy on the first day. My camp was smooth and easy-going, maybe because I was just lucky. Let’s start the process together PART 1: ARRIVING AT CAMP I was surprised to know that some people arrived at camp the day before so as to get good accommodation and maybe some to bypass the hustle. At my camp I can say it didn’t pay from my perspective. When you enter camp, just start embracing strength and endurance for 3 weeks. You would be directed to the Police post where your luggage would be checked so as to ensure everyone complies with expectations of what not to bring to camp. You would write your name and be given a number that is very important during the registration period, so do not misplace it. I almost did .God saved me. Luckily for me the soldier that I met to search mine didn’t even do that so I didn’t waste time. Always have your documents handy and ready at any stand or post for registration. Also always have a biro and your passport ready as to avoid insult and embarrassment from officials. PART 2: ACCOMODATION This was kind of easy at my camp then. I got in line with other female otondos. Mine took place near the female hostel. I wrote my name after showing them my temporary number that was issued to me at the police post. Then I was directed to a room to pick up a mattress. You shouldn’t expect comfort o. The bed was so flat that I just adjusted my mind to take whatever was given. Then from collection of mattress you will be directed to your rooms for the 3 weeks. The mattress that would be given is nothing to write about. I’m sure they are up to 20 years old. They are just an inch thick. This is very important and this is where you have to be smart to get a good one. I was with my friends and we wanted to stay together but the official there was forming work. Alas, we got to stay near each other. If you know you can’t tolerate people and their behaviors, it is advisable you take the upper bunk. Top bunkers have to either keep their stuff on their bed, on the side of the bed, or ask if their bunk mate to share their space under the bed. But if you want the comfort of the down bunk no problem. An advantage of the down bunk is that you could store your stuff (suitcase, buckets, etc.) under the bed. Be smart about it. Most people always fight for that space though. I chose the bottom bunk because I didn't want to worry about hopping on and off. This process can vary from camp to camp and also depending on when you arrive at camp. Also most of the bunks there are spoilt so just get ready to accept anything. You have no choice. PART 3: REGISTRATION Always ask questions to avoid mistakes and insults o. Ensure your files and documents are with you at every point in time. Firstly, check for where your school number is then when you hear that number you go there and do some clarification, this can be called Issuance of Counterfoil. Or it could be different. Well I can’t really recall every step but I know that the queue wasn’t that long. It took me 2 hours to finish up. Your call-up letter would be clarified for originality and authentication by UV / Mercury Light verification, you will be taking another passport regardless of the ones you have for the computer registration and verification process. Then this is where you would be given your permanent state code number for the whole service year. Ensure you fill whatever forms that would be issued to you correctly. Avoid mistakes. PART 4: KIT COLLECTION AND PLATOON REGISTRATION This is the last phase. It’s where you collect your NYSC issued kits to you. This can be very annoying in the sense that you can hardly be given your size. I was given a big shoe and extra-large outfits. Those that get early enough had collected the reasonable sizes; I guess that is an advantage of coming early. The kits that would be given to you at first are the pair of tennis shoes and pair of jungle boots. You could then look for someone to exchange with – for example, if your shoes are too big, you might be able to find someone with big feet who was given a smaller size, and then swap. If you are lucky (and that’s extremely lucky), you might just find your exact size. You would then have to locate your platoon stand. Your Platoon number is the last digit of your state code. For instance if your given state code number is 0503, then you are in platoon 3. Every corper is attached to a platoon and most of your activities including morning drills, competitions would be conducted according to platoons. This is like you nuclear family for the 3 weeks. Here you would fill some forms, then will be given a pair of the NYSC khaki Trouser and jacket + belts, 2 white t-shirts, 2 white shorts and 2pairs of socks and NYSC crested vest. You would be given some small booklets like Camp Schedule, the NYSC anthem, rules and regulations, etc. |
Hello readers, I’m sure you have seen your placement/ state where you have been posted to .Congratulations to those who got their choice and Good luck to those who didn’t. Below are the things you do not need in camp MATTRESS: Camp would provide that for everyone, so you don t have to take any there. It would be excess luggage and in most camps if you meet the wrong or maybe hungry (lol) officials it would be seized. CUTLERY: You might be surprised but yes, they seize them except spoons. Knives, fork and even metal spoons are seized because it is believed that otondo use them for negative things. SOPHISTICATED GADGETS Things like iPad galaxy tab, laptop etc. . These attract thieves and they are not necessary. In my previous post I said that you could take psp , games and novels in case you get bored. In fact for those who have blackberries, you do not need others. You could just take a smartphone to camp. At least the lesser you carry, the better for you to watch. It reduces the likelihood of it being stolen or misplaced or damaged. For more check the below link /p5hHtb-1ae |
no you dont need laptops. i would post list of things you dont need today . so dont fail to check . well the statement of result might be okay. |

http://evatese./2013/02/28/20-things-you-must-not-forget-to-take-to-nysc-orientation-camp/ Hello intending Otondo and Otondo to be . Batch A 2013 would be off to camp very soon by next week Tuesday So for the love i have for you all as a tiny expert in that area. i would be giving some tips from this post till Monday before you leave. So Today post is concerning things you just cant live without in camp except you intend on borrowing or stealing?(hmmm) . PHOTOCOPIES OF YOUR DOCUMENTS: just make up to 10-12 copies of every document required . There would be photocopiers in camp at maami market but trust me , it is double the price and it saves time. Statement of Result (Original and Photocopies) , School ID Card (Original and Photocopies) COPIES OF PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPHS: This is very important . from experience i would say you make up to 30. Reason being that you would need them at every registration point mostly. Then those of you who would likely redeploy , you would need more than others . It is always advisable to have extra copies of them too. CALL UP LETTER: This is a vital part of camp and the only evidence that you are a corper (otondo) and you are not impersonating anyone. so if at all you even forget you luggage (lol) never forget this. Word of advice —-keep it like its your life, do not laminate it o. i know someone who was sent back because she forgot hers. and also someone who had to beg and beg before his letter was collected because he laminated his own copy. So please o avoid all these stress and make enough copies of this letter like 15 . STATIONERY :BIRO , PAPER , GLUE , TIPPEX AND STAPLER :Yeah this saves time and lots of unnecessary begging. also do not forget to include pins in your stapler. ROUND-NECKED WHITE T-SHIRTS : this is an essential outfit in camp in fact in most camps this is the only allowed cloth to be worn throughout your 3 weeks . Even to church , you might not be allowed to wear colored cloths. You would be given 2 pairs of white t-shirts at camp to just fulfill all righteousness which surely would never be your size especially our very slim and small otondo in size . So you can bring extra pairs (3) . Word of advice: do not carry more than 2 pairs of colored clothes because you wont need it . WHITE SHORTS: i beg you please do bring yours , you would also be given 2 pairs of shorts which are really poor in material . they tear easily and are thick . it can be annoying. so my dear otondos bring like 4 pairs of shorts . Trust me also you wont like to wash everyday ,so bring enough to last you like 3 days so that you wont be stranded. PLAIN WHITE SNEAKERS/TENNIS SHOES: This is a very important outfit. you would also be given a pair of low quality tennis shoes customized for nysc. Its either you are not given your size . After the first wash it starts tearing . So just buy yours. They also sell this in camp , so in case you are not able to get you could buy in camp just carry extra cash for that because the price would be higher cos they know you have no choice than to buy. WHITE SOCKS: Just get extra pairs . you would also be given 2 pairs. A PAIR OF SLIPPERS DETTOL : This is very very essential . firstly the bathrooms can be very annoying and dirty and you would not like to have infection from camp. Bad idea. Also the water can be dirty. Most people always have reaction to it. MOSQUITO NET: you would do not want to fall sick in camp from malaria. Just bring yours. Also bring ropes you would use to tie it o. i also used mine as a room to protect my box and properties from thieves and also from some insects and ants OTHERS: Towel , bed sheets Pillow Cases and A Pillow . you could also get pillow from mammy market. NOVEL :For those who get bored easily , please carry some . And for guys psp or chess. also iPod and mp3. CASH: extremely important. you would need between 15000 – 20000 for the extravagant spenders and for those that can manage say 10000-15000. There are lots of things that take up money . Things like food(for those who don’t intend eating camp food) , recharge cards, charging of phones , pleasures e.t.c NOTE—- you wont be allowed to leave camp o. So do not be stranded , trust me not a good idea.Just budget 1000 per day . You could carry your ATM incase. ALMIGHTY WAIST POUCH/BAG:Very very essential . This served as my bank and locker for important items. Things like phones, money , id card , keys , ATM cards e.t.c I even know someone who sleeps with hers on because of people on the loose to steal . ALMIGHTY WAIST POUCH/BAG:Very very essential . This served as my bank and locker for important items. Things like phones, money , id card , keys , ATM cards e.t.c I even know someone who sleeps with hers on because of people on the loose to steal . TORCHLIGHT OR RECHARGEABLE LAMPS: Most or in fact all camps do not give light except at a specific time of the day . Its very essential . especially at night when you need to use the bathroom , early in the morning when preparing for morning drills and meditations. at night in case you need to do anything . At mammy , there is always light till they close . You can charge them there at a little fee. BASIC DRUGS: like panadol or paracetamol , allergy medicine , menustaral pain drug , nausea relief drugs , antibiotics e.t.c . The camp clinic is always inadequately filled with drugs so help yourself.PADLOCKS : please lock your boxes and bags to avoid regrets and crying o . i know people who lost things to theives due to carelessness Toiletries/Sanitary Pad . Bucket, soap dish (buy at the camp site, don't stress yourself taking one to the place, they always sell in the camp) PLATE , BOWL AND CUP: For eating . Important for those who intend on eating camp food. for more check http://evatese./2013/02/28/20-things-you-must-not-forget-to-take-to-nysc-orientation-camp/
