Anyone got hacks for booking the practical driving test?

For two weeks straight now, I’ve been logging in just before 6am and there are over 8000 people ahead of me in the queue. I usually wait about 20 minutes, and by 6:30am, there are no test dates showing in any test centre I type in.

I’m honestly at my wits’ end. Any tips, please? Thanks ahead

Our relationship just ticked the 1yrs 3months mark. I told him at the beginning that I’d love for him to propose to me b4 we start getting intimate as most relationships built on intimacy don’t last. He agreed. But as we get along, we eventually started having sex even tho it’s not how I pictured it. But I had to because I didn’t want him to leave.

At the start of this year, I made a resolution to stop giving in to sex and see how much affections he has for me looking at the fact that he’s not even asked me to be his wife. It’s always promise here and there.

If he initiated it, I always find an excuse..and most times he convinced me and I’ll give in. I won’t lie I know it’s hard because he’s had to initiate a couple of time which I denied and he’ll mostly beg and assure me of his commitment to our relationship.

However, I noticed since the beginning of the month of May, he’s stopped showing concerns. When he asked And I said no to sex, he will just say “ohh okay” and then sleep if it’s night time or pick his phone and off to gym. Nowadays he doesn’t even initiate anything nor ask for it. I asked him if he’s okay and he told me “he’s having some heavy back pain due to his recent workout routines” but I know he’s lying. He’s always like sex even after workout.

My intuition says he’s cheating and my friend confirmed same since her last relationship also ended the same way.

Tbh, I’d just stop getting worried about this and stop asking him since he’s decided to keep mute.

When you weaponise sex, he would seek his weapons elsewhere........ 😁🤣😂

If the property is an HMO, the landlord by default should put locks on room doors......

If it's a family home, locks not required.......

Hi guys. I’m hoping to get advice on starting a company in the UK this July, doing genuine business (i.e. trading), applying for a sponsor licence, and eventually sponsoring myself, ideally by November or December this year. I’m wondering if anyone here has experience with something like this, or even just running a small business in the UK.

A bit of background to explain why I’m considering this route. I’m currently on a Graduate Visa and my SOC code has a high going rate that most companies only pay to mid-to-senior level employees with 3+ years of experience. Because of this, it’s been hard to find sponsorship, and I don’t qualify as a “new entrant”, having been in the country for more than 4 years now, so I have to meet the standard going rate.

Right now, I work in construction under a CIS/self-employment arrangement with a small company. They don’t have a sponsor licence and prefer hiring self employed workers to avoid obligations like holiday pay, pensions etc

I’ve spoken with my boss about opening a limited company and invoicing him through it. He’s open to that. In the next few months, I should be able to invoice at a rate that almost meets my SOC salary threshold. I say "almost" because after accounting for employer National Insurance, corporation tax, pension contributions and so on, I’ll still be short about £223/month. That’s not even including other overheads like accountant fees etc.

I’m still deep in research, but it’s honestly driving me crazy that I don’t know anyone here in the UK who owns a company, talk less of someone who has gone this sponsorship route.

So I figured I should ask here:

Has anyone tried this approach before, or know someone who has?
Or even just general advice about setting up and running a small business in the UK would really help.

My thought is that for the stability the five years fixed rate gives, it is worth exploring. Especially for someone who doesn't have ILR yet. Upon getting ILR, one would have access to more lenders unlike being limited to a few when one has to renew in two years again .
Additionally, it helps for financial planning.

Some people love 5 year terms, perfectly justifiable for them.......

But my own personal opinion, I think 2 years is best...... 🤔😂
