For our participation in the WC, these should be our 5 most influential players:
Alex Iwobi, Victor Moses, Mikel Obi, Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi.

If up to 4 out of these 5 players can bring in their "A" game we will hit Croatia very hard.

I know Rohr is not so comfortable with starting with a 3-5-2 formation. But I think he has experimented with it well enough to have known the suitability of this pattern.

I suggest Rohr should go for it.

I initially suggested an Iwobi-Iheanacho front line but after certain considerations I switch to a Moses-Iheanacho front line.

Victor Moses: I know he may not be in the good books of many now due to his performances from the last 2 friendlies. But we know why. The break Rohr gave to him. At least his better performance against Czech shows he is getting back the flow of the Rhythm. Moses we all know throws discipline away when he wears the National team jerseys but we know how many goals he has scored from such selfish moves. Most of the goals he scored in the qualfiers were from his selfish runs. Same again against Poland.
Moses can be a deadly weapon for us when he brings his "A" game.

My starting line up against Croatia: 3-5-2.

................Uzoho

.....Omeruo..Ekong.. Balogun

Ebuehi..Mikel(CM)..Ndidi(DM)..Idowu
......................Iwobi(AM)

..............Iheanacho... Moses

Ndidi should be made to sit in front of the 3CBs and then Mikel the CM and Iwobi the AM. Iwobi and Mikel can intermittently switch positions in the middle.

Moses MUST be drilled to work with Iheanacho, Iwobi, Mikel and Idowu for him to function effectively in that position. Moses and Iheanacho are pacy players which is what we need to outwit the Croatian midfield including the excellent passing abilities of Mikel and Iwobi.

Mikel and Ndidi including the RCB and LCB should do well to cover for Ebuehi and Idowu when they make the forward runs.

With excellent tactical discipline and Luck too we can crack Croatia with this formation.
this formation seems to look very deadly ... this is going to be a tight game ... we need some dribblers and passers upfront ... combining Iwobi and Victor Moses is kind of right ...Iwobi , Iheanacho and Mikel can combine to make those short passes .... i like this formation and it could give us the desired result

One thing our players need now is to be Psyched up. I hope our team psychologist is not sleeping.

They need to see themselves as Champions. Going into every game with winner's mentality and superior mindset as these will activate beast and ruthless mode.

They did it against Algeria and Cameroon. Scoring 3,4 goals against African finests. There are is need for them to have the believe that they can do it again - this time around against World bests.

I want to see Mikel, Moses and Ighalo put on serious face. No smiling, no laughing until the did has been done.

It's high time the Super Eagles declare war on their Opponents.
we can do it ... #GO SUPEREAGLE GO

that spanish team in 98 was a very good team, it was our ruggedness that won that game for us, it takes ruggedness, tactics and discipline for an african team to overcome its european counterpart, just watch the Cameroon team in italia 90 and Senegalese team in 2002. Power play is one of our strength as Africans and must be deployed cos you can't beat very good European teams by skills alone, you got to show power like we also did in 94 against Bulgaria but if na ajebutter football you wan play, I sorry sorry!
Nigeria dont play physical football ... Nigeria is the only country in Africa that plays that style ... we re only going to perfect it soon

I love this artwork.. It is more than an art.
It depicts the probability of each nations odds of lifting the worldcup title..
Brazil are mostly favorites, followed by Germans,Belgium, Argentina, France etc as u can trace on the picture..

Average teams like Nigeria, Iceland, Saudi, Panama can be seen struggling to get near the cup. It will be a herculean task and a miracle if any pot 3 or 4 team reaches semi finals..

Te potest dare quod non habet.......... You can't give what you don't have.
there was no such interpretation in that piece of art ... its just a representation of the people going to the world cup and partly by fifa ranking .... dont be suprised when the black man with the sword kill the white guys to get close to the trophy ... its about the game of survival ....

SuperEaglesgoforthecup

Did Messi really say this or is it one of the Palestinian propagandas?

If Messi actually did say this then I will formally part ways with him because he doesn't know what the heck he's talking about. The Israeli government, like every other country has the rights to defend her citizens. Bottom line, Messi should stick with soccer and leave politics to the politicians. However, I seriously doubt that he made that quote because I haven't seen it on any reputable news outlet.

Musa will be comfortable in that position , but my problem with Musa is the funny crosses ..... but we re at advantage cos he is in the best form of his life . alot of us want to tinker with the team grin lets leave Rohr to do his job . that team can make over 40 passes in 2 minutes . underrate the Eagles at your own peril

the Iceland i watched yesterday against Ghana , and other of their matches , i have concluded that we already have 3 points in our bag ..... if we can secure that 3 point against Croatia huh? which is very possible cos it's about who wins the battle of the midfield . i am optimistic that Eagles will have 6points or more at the end of the group stage .

forgiveness:
Ah! Sorry for the late reply.

I was so busy throughout yesterday that I couldn't read comments at a point before I slept.

I didn't see the first half and I had divided attention in the second half.

However, I really liked what I saw and I was impressed because we created alot of chances but they were not potent at goal and didn't pass to the best man in the best position to score.

This happened 2-3 times when Brian had 2 - 3 chances to square pass to Ighalo and Victor but he decided to take the glory.

Beside this, he combined well with other players to create those chances. I hope he got the message when he was pulled out and I hope Rohr shows him the clip again to teach him what he ought to have done better which is his primarily duty to play for the forwards and fed them first before he thinks of scoring.

On the other side, I can see Ebuehi is growing in confidence to drive forward more often than before but I can still see a little bit retrain in his movement because he is very cautious of his defence.

I think he needs to speak with the players to cover for him and trust the player to help him watch his back pending he makes full recovery back to his position. Once, he is sure about it, Ebuehi will bring alot of damages to our rivals when he attacks. He is very good and not selfish like Brian.

Once, we are able to maximise attack from the right side like we do on the left, we are good to go because that is the strength of this formation.

The three man defence is ok but I hope Rohr makes it paralle with 5 players when defending and allow the forwards to defend on the flanks.

In midfield, Iwobi should be allowed to move up ahead of Mikel but I understand he had to help to defend on wing once the LWB surges forward.

I was impressed with how they retained and recovered possession as much as possible with urgency, and with quick passes and fast movement. It's unlikely of our usual style of play.

The attack lacks cordination and cohesion. They need to gel.

I think this is where we might have problem because of lack of natural wingers. This is were problem go dey but I hope Rohr has a solution to that.

Victor Moses was very impressive this time around and Ighalo also did well.

I think Iwobi should combine with Moses or he is allowed to play directly behind them.

Anyway, my final verdict is that this team against Czech played better than the team against, England, Poland and Serbia.

I will watch the match again and have a holistic view of the match. I just gave what I saw in the second half.
thumbs up forgiveness ... you re spot on .... the team played also for one another , and i think we will pull alot of surprises in the world cup proper , our only weakness is attacking from the wing , and Ebuehi did well with the few minutes . i think so far we have done well . still wonder how people watch their match .... thank God we re on losing streak ... Complacency would have set in and it will raise our hope too much .

true or he sits on the bench, enough of trial and error, I love the guy but it's reality time, the match against England and the match we will play today will be a true reflection of what we will show case at the world cup
Against England his touches were not bad , he didn't get enough supplies , but we want more from him , the presence of Ndidi today will give that team balance and Mikel will be mobile to give Iwobi the short passes , i think they re getting to understand them selves better .

He's out best player
He's a sure starter
Rohr should be ready to sub him once he starts playing for himself and not for the team.

Opari master now you re talking for the success of the team .... i thought you will not shift ground .... cos in my mind i call you MR VICTORMOSES .

NO doubt he is a good player, but his selfishness has a lot to do on the team . the more he playes with the team the better for us , i saw one of our counter against Cameroon , he initiated the counted and it was finished in such a brilliant manner ...i think i will prefer him to play with his team , rather than all those nonsense dribbles.
