Funny development in Barca vs Sociedad. Barca level with a Rashford header and immediately concede on the restart. 2-1 |

SE no try at all. Liver failed them for that semi.
Morocco is approaching the final with the same park bus + counter tactics but Senegal are taking the game to them hot hot.
They’re creating chances and forcing their GK into saves. SE just gave the ball to Bassey and Ajayi to be romancing it with no forward play throughout that semi. |

Ibime: This new South African CAF President has killed the fun of African football. AFCON to be replaced with this rubbish below. Who is in Southern Africa apart from SA and maybe Zambia. Also who is in East Africa
So Senegal, Nigeria, Mali, Cameroun, Ghana, CIV will be killing themselves while South Africa is chilling
Format of the African Nations League.
✅ Teams will be divided into four geographical zones: North Africa, East Africa, West Africa, and Central & Southern Africa.
✅ Each zone will have its own group-stage matches, with teams facing each other in September and October.
✅ The top team from each zone will qualify for the final phase in November.
✅ The final phase will see the four regional winners compete to determine the champion of the African Nations League. This structure no make sense. |

Joezinho: Kanu that most people drags mostly played as a SS or attacking midfielder for the SE not as a traditional No 9.
Always linking play, dropping deep and creating chances rather than leading the line. No be him mate be Lookman wey dey score and assist anyhow? |

MSGAMBLE9: Thank you, they will find another excuse for him come May...
I for don get peace of mind small now but 7 points wouldn't do it for me knowing his antecedents... I know. It’s the PTSD. Since a few players returned from injury, (*coughs* Odegaard) Arteta hasn’t been able to find a way to get solid wins. If he can’t solve this issue soon enough…. |

BlueRayDick: Saka and Trossard played vs Loserpool and the match ended 0-0 just as this one.
Was that one too on Arteta?
See na the team as a whole no turn up. Against Loserpool I was asking what was Arteta supposed to do in that match that he didn't do, nobody could come up with anything tangible to say. It was obvious the team just didn't take their chances.
The same thing happened to do. People are only tagging today's result to Saka and Trossard not starting. More like fans just need something to point at as reason why we didn't win. Madueke would’ve been worse against Liverpool. Saka is definitely better than him and it was clear when he came on. At this stage of the season, it is crucial to rack up important points. If your competition drop points in an earlier game, it’s more crucial to go full throttle and win the 3 points. There was a season SAF planned to rest some players for a midweek UCL game. But once the competition (City at the time, I think) dropped points in an earlier kick off, he completely changed his whole game plan and grounded out a win. That’s how you secure the league. |

BlueRayDick: I agree with you that we may need to turn to Merino very soon. Maybe Arteta should start from Man Utd's match sef.
We can't continue with Gyokeres like this. All through gbé first half crosses were made into the box but he was nowhere to be found Exactly what I was telling an Arsenal fan here. Gyokeres needs to learn to play with the team. And he can only do that when he’s faster physically and mentally. The guy is too sluggish. |

mostob: To be very honest, if he had started Saka and Trossard, a lot of fans would have still blamed him for not rotating. Dem go still bash him say na why players dey get injured be this. Moreso, we had goalscoring chances in the first half which the players didn't utilise.
Now that he brought Saka and Trossard in the second half, did it make any difference? No!
Arteta has his fault but sometimes the players should be called out too. Bros. Saka made a clear difference vs Madueke. He should have started that game. It was a rare opportunity to go 9 points clear and he fumbled it. |

BlueRayDick: I just hope Arteta will bring on Gabriel Jesus for him at half time. It seems this is not his day.
He should make way for Jesus who can cause upset in the opposition box with his flair and positioning In the short time Jesus has been on the pitch you can clearly see how dangerous he can be. Not Mr. Gbyokz |

eph12: I think Casemiro contract ends this season. Ugarte may be sold too. We will need 2 new midfielders. Dalot should not be first choice next season so yes we need a full back.
As for wingers, is it certain Barca will pay for Rashford? We also have Lacey. Ineos may not want to spend a lot. So maybe Lacey will just be promoted fully to the senior team Even so, he should be a squad option at most. We still need a winger for the left side. Rashford is a no-no. Barca should pay up. That chapter is closed. |

afrodoc2: Hehehe. Make Pep no go cut Semenyo's samson locks o. He has to make a decision on either Semenyo or Doku on the left.
It will be interesting to see what Carrick does with Sesko going forward. I think today's decision was a tactical one but i might be wrong.
He will give Mainoo all the chance in the world to regain his place and Dorgu will be a mainstay of the team either at LB or LW. Maybe Sesko will feature prominently against Arsenal. Dorgu and Mainoo will also play lots of games. If Dorgu is absent, Ugarte will be on the pitch. Carrick focuses a lot on the midfield. Players like Dorgu and Ugarte can protect that space by covering every blade of glass. Mainoo is needed for creativity and the base on which attacks are launched. Casemiro will just oversee the whole department, making sure that things are going according to plan. Bruno will wreak damage in his natural #10 position |
