barcanista: Yes o, the clean General that worked under the incorruptible administration of General sani Abacha. In fact, Buhari has this to say of his late boss in June 2008.
"All the allegations levelled against the personality of the late Gen. Sani Abacha will remain allegations. It is 10 years now, things should be over by now." “ten years after Abacha, those allegations remain unproven because of lack of facts”.
There was the allegation of missing $2.5billion when he was bNNPC boss/Petroleum Minister. We are yet to see a comprehensive audit of the NNPC books in 1977-1979
The incorruptible Baba jailed Ambrose Ali for donatin #100k to his party when he was Governor, but accepted Presidential bus worth 50 million naira from Rochas Okorocha, accepted multi-millions from Atiku Abubakar, amaechi etc to fund his campaign.
The incorruptible baba was brought into politics by equally incorruptible Maryam Abacha, Wife of Sani Abacha.
The incorruptible #Baba saw nothing wrong in giving party flag in Kebi state to Abubakar Bagudu, who was Abacha's partner -in-loot.
Ooooops!!!! Buhari is as incorruptible and clean just like Obasanjo and Abacha...
Sai Baba Can you imagine where foolishness is taking you to. Just because somebody rejected your request for protection you turn yourself to tout on Nairaland. |
Politics › Re: Nigerian Citizenship Eligibility With Regard To Elected Offices by LFJ: 2:56pm On May 19, 2015 |
nduchucks: Great info.
You stated: "By our constitution, a citizenship by birth can never be taken away by any act of our constitution regardless of the situation. " I'd appreciate if you could provide the constitutional provision which states that a renounciation of the said citizenship by a person, having duly sworn to renounce the same, cannot or will not be honoured by Nigeria. As far as I can tell, the supreme court is yet to weigh in on this issue. The mistake you are making is that, constitution don't take away the right it does not give you. Being a Nigeria citizen is a natural right. No Constitution we take that away from you. You can renounce your citizenship by naturalization or registration but not by birth. Even if you write to court to do that they just keep it for record purpose. What Constitution can do to make their citizen more responsible is to put series of conditions that can prevent people outside from holding elective position if they have stayed outside beyond a number of years. But as at today, having a dual citizenship does not prevent you from contesting or holding political appointment. |

Politics › Re: Nigerian Citizenship Eligibility With Regard To Elected Offices by LFJ: 8:21pm On May 18, 2015 |
nduchucks: We discussed this issue back in 2011 in this thread. I'd recommed that users go through that thread.
My take, in simple terms: if you have not renounced your Nigerian citizenship, then as a Nigerian, you are still entitled to all rights constitutionally bestowed on Nigerian citizens including the right to hold public offices.
Thus dual citizens who have not renounced their Nigerian citizenships are eligible to hold office. Now for the kicker: renounciation of your existing citizenship is required of naturalized citizens of the USA. That means if you were born a Nigerian citizen and you become a naturalized citizen of the USA, you have effectively renounced your Nigerian citizenship.
Now, the supreme court can hold that Nigerian citizenship can only be renounced in a Nigerian court, if they do, then dual citizens of the USA are home free. Until then, the jury is still out. Nigeria Constitution is very direct on the issue of citizenship by birth. By our constitution, a citizenship by birth can never be taken away by any act of our constitution regardless of the situation. It is a right you have until death do you apart. However, your right as a citizen can be denied if you are find guilty of criminal offense. Becoming a naturalize citizen of another country is not a criminal offence under our constitution, therefore, being a naturalize citizen of another country does not take away your citizen's rights and privileges as a Nigerian by birth. |
Family › Re: Why Do Some Married Women Enjoy Their Husband Begging For Sex? by LFJ: 10:12pm On May 16, 2015 |
The reason is because most men are selfish. Before you wake up in the money, your wife is already up taking care of the children, you go out together to work, you come back from work, you busy yourself with TV from one channels to the other, why your wife is busy in the kitchen preparing food and getting your kids ready for the following day. Now imagine a woman that wakes up 5am in the morning and engaged till 10/11pm is the same woman you want to be a supper woman in the bed. The question is how much do you assist your wife? If you want an evergreen and energetic woman, don't over labor your wife so that see can have enough energy to take you to the moon on the bed. |

Politics › Re: Buhari Administration: Are Nigerians Ready For The Fight Against Corruption? by LFJ: 2:46pm On May 08, 2015 |
Mogidi: Corruption can't be fought using "Change" slogan alone, Buhari said Abacha did not steal any money even though his children repaid us billions. Saying Abacha is blameless makes Buhari's corruption drive suspicious.
Let Buhari jail his friends including Tinubu, then we'd join in the fight against corruption.
Being a very vindictive man, I see Buhari probing his enemies whilst sharing with friends the largess his position brings. He did same thing as PTF chairman, allowing his friends to cart away billions of dollars.
Buhari is only a paper tiger when it comes to fighting corruption. When foolishness become part of DNA, there is nothing anybody can do about that than to pray to God to rescue those who out of selfishness choose to become fool. Fools are not concern about 16 years of how PDP has destroyed the foundation of our institutions, set our economy ablaze, but they are masturbating over how Buhari will fail. A fool will never understand that the failure of Buhari is a loss to Nigeria the same way the failure of 16 years of PDP is already hitting us hard as a country. |

lordsbiz: After reading through posts, It brings me to a conclusion that APC is turning clueless by the day, even before they assume office! Reasons: 1. There is a saying that goes this way: if you want it done to your satisfaction, do it yourself. Lets assume the current administration refuse to meet these terms before handover, will it cause buhari's tenure to fail nigerians in delivering their promises? 2. Buhari's team should be fully aware nigerians are tired of excuses and blame games, which is one of the cardinal reason they pulled so much vote from the southern part of the country, 3. Directives have already being given by the president that reports should be prepared and he's willing to drop a proper handing over note, detailing the current status of the nation to the incoming government. 4. Recent activities and denials of their proposed manifesto for election purposes is absurd: A: we are not magicians B: we can't afford to pay 25million nigerians 5000 monthly C: we can't promise recovering chibok girls D: AIT and NTA cannot cover Buhari's event My verdict is this, no matter what the situation of the nation is, buhari and his team should wait till he gets the mandate, then he can get any information he so desire, arrest the clouds, or send the sun to jail. Another thing am thinking is that most of these flops coming from APC is not from the president elect himself, I think its more of his cohorts. The failure of Jonathan started from surrounded himself with fools who cannot comprehend simple term of reference. And these are the type of people requesting to see somebody certificate. |
