In 2018, When Donald Trump imposed steel tariffs against Canadian Steel, Many Canadians responded by boycotting made in USA products.

If Nigerians are not good enough to travel to the USA, should we continue to patronize American companies like Apple, Amazon, Hewlett-Packard, Ford, GM Motors, Godaddy, Namecheap, Tom Ford, DKNY, Boeing, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Levi's, Gap, etc?
And how is Canada today

Where they able to win the trade war, they lost the trade war and bend to Trump wish, the reason for USMCA

Are you people so dumb in that country?

Where are all the bokoharam fighters in Nigeria jail arrested by last administration? They have all be freed and compensated with millions of Euro.

How many bokoharam fighters arrested for the last 5 years? Do you know how many thousands of bokoharam that are now in Nigeria Army and police force.

All the terrorists in Mali and all Africa countries has been given free visa to invade your country by your useless president. Their ultimate target is oil field in the Niger Delta.

I don't think that it has anything to do with the protest. The reason is in the last paragraph. Almost 20% of Nigerians that visit the US end up stating illegally.
The reason is not because of overstayed visa, that is just an excuse.

Nigeria is one of the leading states sponsor of terror in the world and the government instigated some protesters to burn America flag few weeks ago.

Don't forget Trump use national security issue to negotiate trade deal with Canada few years ago. When Trump want to do something, he can come up with any excuse

This is a good news for people living with Hepatitis B and C in Nigeria and is long over due.

More than 24 million Nigerians are presently living with viral hepatitis, with many not knowing their status. By establishing this agency, the government can focus squarely on how to reduce this menace

Foreign AffairsRe: Boris Johnson Accused Of Racial Stereotyping With View On Nigerians by LGDON: 10:11pm On Nov 28, 2019
fergie001:
Boris Johnson has been accused of pushing racial stereotypes over a newly-unearthed column written during his time as editor of the Spectator in which he said young people had “an almost Nigerian interest in money”.

The prime minister has been under pressure in recent months over a series of comments he made during his career as a columnist, writer and editor, including referring to black people as “piccaninnies” with “watermelon smiles” and arguing Islam has caused the Muslim world to be “literally centuries behind” the west.

In another column which has come to light, Johnson blamed single mothers for “producing a generation of ill-raised, ignorant, aggressive and illegitimate children”, saying that social housing was an enticement for them to become pregnant.

The new columns emerged after the chancellor, Sajid Javid, refused seven times to say whether he would use the terms “bank robber” or “letterbox” to describe Muslim women who wear a burka, as Johnson did last year.

The Conservative party leader wrote in a diary piece for the Independent on Sunday in October 1999 that Tony Blair had made people feel good about getting rich.

He added: “All the young people I know – ie those under 30 – are just as avaricious as we flinty Thatcherite yuppies of the 1980s in fact, they have an almost Nigerian interest in money and gadgets of all kinds.”

Weyman Bennett, the co-convenor of Stand Up to Racism, described Johnson’s words as “deeply racist and offensive”. He told the Guardian: “This can be added to the ‘piccaninnies’ and ‘watermelon smiles’, the abject refusal to properly apologise and change his behaviour around racism.

“Boris Johnson is unfit to be a prime minister that represents the entire United Kingdom. He had demonstrated this by lying and falsely representing black, Asian and different communities inside this country.

“This is deeply offensive and unforgivable and should not be ignored and he should be held to account.”

In the column on single mothers, published in the Spectator in 1995, Johnson wrote that “uppity and irresponsible women” had a “natural desire to have babies” and that ways must be found to ensure they married.

Arguing that social housing available to single mothers was “an enticement”, Johnson said “no government – and certainly no Labour government – will have the courage to make the cuts in the safety net of the viciousness required to provide anything like such a deterrent”.

Labour said the comments followed a pattern of sexist and misogynistic words and behaviour by Johnson. Shami Chakrabarti, the shadow attorney general, said: “These unearthed comments further reveal Boris Johnson’s contempt for women and families, as he hypocritically attacks what he appallingly describes as ‘illegitimate’ children.”

In the past 24 hours both major parties have been criticised for their handling of race issues. The Muslim Council of Britain accused the Conservative party of “denial, dismissal and deceit” over the issue of Islamophobia on Tuesday, saying the party had a “blind spot for this type of racism”. On Wednesday Johnson apologised for Islamophobia within the Conservative party.

The Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has also struggled to move on from an intervention by the chief rabbi, Ephraim Mirvis, who said the party had not done enough to tackle antisemitism.

At Least 16 Million Individuals In Nigeria Live With Chronic Viral Hepatitis – FG

The Federal Ministry of Health says no fewer than 16 million individuals in Nigeria are living with chronic Hepatitis B and C virus.

According to the ministry, the discovery is sequel to a National HIV/AIDS Indicator and Impact Survey carried out in 2018.

A representative for Viral Hepatitis Control in Nigeria, Clement Adeshigbin, said this during a training organised for health workers on how to manage the disease in Taraba State.

According to him, viral hepatitis is a silent killer and it is now globally known to be 10 times more widespread than HIV/AIDS, hence the decentralisation of its treatment in order to control it.

He adds that the choice of Taraba for the training is in view of the fact that the state has a high prevalence of 19 per cent with 2 million individuals living with the virus.

Adeshigbin insists that the state government is committed to subsidizing the treatment for patients.

CrimeRe: 80 Defendants In U.S. And Nigeria Charged With Cyberfraud, Money laundering by LGDON: 11:48pm On Aug 22, 2019
celebgistz2:
After search warrants were executed at multiple locations across L.A. County on Thursday morning, federal prosecutors announced a 252-count indictment that accuses 80 people in the U.S. and Nigeria of participating in a "massive conspiracy to steal millions of dollars through a variety of fraud schemes."

The defendants allegedly laundered the funds through a Los Angeles-based money laundering network. Eleven of them were arrested Thursday in Southern California, while three others were taken into custody elsewhere in the U.S., according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Central District of California.

Two were already in federal custody on other charges, and one was arrested earlier this week. The remaining defendants are believed to be abroad, most of them in Nigeria, authorities said.

According to the indictment, the accused used business email compromise frauds, romance scams and schemes targeting the elderly to defraud victims out of millions of dollars.

The co-conspirators allegedly contacted Valentine Iro, 31, of Carson, and Chukwudi Christogunus Igbokwe, 38, of Gardena, both Nigerian citizens, for bank and money-service accounts that could receive funds fraudulently obtained from victims.

The criminal complaint says Iro and Igbokwe, who were among the suspects arrested Thursday, conducted schemes that resulted in the transfer of at least $6 million in fraudulently obtained funds.

"The overall conspiracy was responsible for the attempted theft of at least $40 million," the U.S. Attorney's Office said in a statement.

Yes, Obaseki is making an impressive run with infrastructure in Edo State.

I was born in Benin, and I've lived there for close to three decades. I've also lived in Lagos, and presently in Port Harcourt.

So I know what Benin was like these past years, and I know first-hand the job he's been doing.

I posted drone images of the Government Buildings and the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium. Beyond these, he is building inner roads everywhere, and to me, it is impressive.

It's impressive because this was lacking. We elected him to do so, and he is doing it.

Everywhere in the world, the people commend their leaders when they do good. So you don't have to be unnecessarily woke about it.

From Ugbowo where I attended the University, to Upper Sakponba where my father's house to, to Eyaen where I live(d), to Oredo where most businesses are headquartered, Obaseki's projects are visible.

I appreciate that.

I know what this city used to be like.
