Politics › Re: El-Rufai: Only Buni Knows Why Fani-Kayode Was Allowed Into APC by LibertyRep: 9:39pm On Sep 21, 2021
If Buni's faction looses at the next convention, FFK could be back to PDP earlier than expected.

He obviously was recruited for a task.
Politics › Re: RNP: Jega, Pat Utomi, Abdulfatai, Duke, Others Birth Third Force by LibertyRep: 9:33pm On Sep 21, 2021
There's no harm in trying.

This is better than being a perpetual critic without profeering solutions.

The thing however is that the RNP wouldn't be able to do anything substantial without allowing disgruntled members of the two dominant parties into their folds.

Then the cycle continues...
Politics › Re: Senate Passes 112 Toll-Free National Emergency Number, Awaiting Buhari’s Assent by LibertyRep: 9:26pm On Sep 21, 2021
Everyone just dey catch cruise.

This thing should be decentralized and let every state handle its emergencies.

The FG should learn how to shelve some responsibilities. VAT and stamp duties will soon be unavailable.
Politics › Re: Governor Zulum Visits Ramat Poly, Suspends Management Over School Condition by LibertyRep:
How much has the school generated in recent times?

How much has the school received as subvention from the government in recent times?

The government can't totally absolve itself from the blame , but then school Managements need to sit up
Politics › Re: Expose Terrorists Sponsors If You Are Not Complicit - PDP Tells Buhari by LibertyRep: 6:50pm On Sep 21, 2021
If UAE could name and prosecute Nigerian terror sponsors, Nigeria has no excuse not to do more than that to these heartless beings.

Name, shame and prosecute them. These shouldn't be too much for a government that controls all the power and resources.
Politics › Re: Fani Kayode Receiving Rousing Welcome From His Supporters After Defecting To APC by LibertyRep: 9:58pm On Sep 20, 2021
To outsiders like me, FFO is more of a political baggage than a political asset.
But to APC, he may mean much to them.

The days ahead shall be interesting.
Politics › Re: George Akume Hosts Femi Fani-Kayode To A Lunch (Pictures) by LibertyRep: 9:48pm On Sep 19, 2021
FFK or FFO?

We need to ask Precious if food is part of his numerous weaknesses. Everyone knows the others.

In retrospect, what has FFK said about Buhari that El-Rufai, Tinubu, Fashola etc hasn't said about Gen Buhari before 2014?

Aren't they now in his camp and singing his praises now? FFK like many politicians are merely anywhere belle face.
Politics › Re: Fani-Kayode May Emerge As APC Spokesperson, Four Days After Defection by LibertyRep:
The plot thickens.

Nothing surprises again.

Fayose, Wike and even Reno could declare for APC tomorrow and the world will not come to an end.

El rufai and Tinubu had both in the past said unprintable things about GMB, now they are his allies.

FFK or FFO is a typical anywhere belle face politician. The question is: Are the rest any better?
Phones › Re: Reno Omokri: Nobody On Earth Needs An iPhone13 by LibertyRep: 7:23am On Sep 19, 2021
Anyone thatcan genuinely and conveniently afford it should buy it.
Saying ' no one on earth' is a lot of exaggeration.
Politics › Re: Definitive Case Against Pantami’s FUTO Fraudfessorship - Farooq Kperogi by LibertyRep: 8:13am On Sep 18, 2021
Farooq again!
It's always interesting reading his articles.

Like he rightly observed, perhaps Pantami should have been awarded a professor of practice in Islamic Studies which shouldn't have raised any dust.

FUTO and other universities should avoid laying precedences that desperate politicians would exploit.
Politics › Re: FFK Denies Sunday Igboho On Channels TV, Distances Self From His Agitation For Y by LibertyRep: 7:47pm On Sep 17, 2021
He was never part of any struggle.

He only went to his house for photo op.
Politics › Re: Ganduje, Kano Delegation Visit Asiwaju Bola Tinubu In London (photo) by LibertyRep: 10:34pm On Sep 16, 2021
Kano Delegation?

Na wah o.

Maybe this man should just settle as a kingmaker instead of being the king himself.

Truth be told, there's hardly any politician that commands such national appeal like BAT.
TV/Movies › Re: Video: Gulder Ultimate Search Auditions Begins In Enugu by LibertyRep: 10:19pm On Sep 16, 2021
Congratulations to the would-be participants.

Some people prefer this show to BBN but then , it's all about personal choice. Live and let's live.

The organizers must be very careful about the safety of the participants in the forests.
These are very dangerous moments.
Politics › Re: Fani-Kayode: Present APC Is Not Same As One I Criticised by LibertyRep: 9:11pm On Sep 16, 2021
What electoral value does FFK has?

I feel he's more of a baggage to the APC than an asset.

His Ward may even reject him.
Politics › Re: Stamp Duty: Malami Writes 36 Governors Over Compliance by LibertyRep: 7:48am On Sep 16, 2021
They could also use the bailout repayment to blackmail the governors into submission.

We're watching.
Crime › Re: Nigerian Hoteliers Enabling Internet Fraudsters Activities - EFCC by LibertyRep: 10:15pm On Sep 14, 2021
Is it true that the wife of a certain governor snubbed EFCC's invitation just recently?
Politics › Re: BREAKING: Emir Of Bungudu Kidnapped Along Kaduna-abuja Highway by LibertyRep: 10:11pm On Sep 14, 2021
While the military pounds some bandits in Zamfara, some others are busy abducting and kidnapping for ransom somewhere close by.

These people no dey fear ?
Politics › Re: Rivers Government Drags FG To Supreme Court Over VAT by LibertyRep: 10:10pm On Sep 14, 2021
This VAT issue will most definitely set balls rolling.

It has the potential of ushering in the much coveted fiscal federalism.
Politics › Re: FG, Ogun Commence Palliative Works On Sango-Ota-Idiroko, Lagos-Abeokuta Roads by LibertyRep: 6:00pm On Sep 14, 2021
It's not only the Federal roads that are in sorry state in Ogun State.

One just need to drive round the state capital to feel the pulse of the people.

Sadly what most of these roads require are just palliatives here and there to make them motorable pending when they will be attended to.

But no, they'll rather throw their hands up and pretend to be helpless at the face of the hapless citizens.

#Pathetic.
Travel › Re: Passport: Immigration, NIMC Extort Nigerians by LibertyRep: 2:21pm On Sep 14, 2021
The thing is, before this report, everyone knows the magnitude of rot and extortion going in that sector, but chose to look the other way.

The sad thing is that even after this report, NOTHING will still happen to the perpetrators.
Crime › Re: Solomon Oboh Commits Suicide, Wills Mobile Phone To Girlfriend by LibertyRep: 12:31pm On Sep 12, 2021
Not all deaths should be dismissed as suicide.

This should be properly investigated.
Politics › Re: Fayemi's Opositon Of The $418 Milion Bailout Consultation Fee Was To Stop A Scam by LibertyRep: 11:02am On Sep 12, 2021
Truly, if three presidents: Olusegun Obasanjo, Umaru Musa Yar’Adua and Goodluck Jonathan refused to pay the same money based on their convictions that it was suspicious, even when these people never hawked integrity or audaciously marketed anti-graft war, on what basis would Buhari say he paid off such humongous money as consultancy fee?

The bolded was a subtle hit directed at the right quarters.
Politics › Re: VAT: South West States Plan Joint Action, Other States Give Update by LibertyRep: 8:45am On Sep 12, 2021
Whatever joint actions they intend to take, they must ensure it doesn't flop like the I'll executed Amotekun project.

They should also purge themselves of internal saboteurs and traitors.

That said, when this is done, we'll revisit the independence/ autonomy for LG and State Assemblies.
Politics › Re: Appeal Court Ruling: Rivers, Lagos Free To Collect VAT – SANs by LibertyRep:
Lawyers can so much make a simple case unnecessarily complicated.

What stops the judge from stating it clearly in unambiguous language like:

" I hereby order that River State and any other state should stop the process of collecting VAT until the appeal is determined."
Education › Re: Kogi Poly Suspends Lecturer For Allegedly Forcing Students To Buy Text Book by LibertyRep: 12:55pm On Sep 10, 2021
Why not name and shame?
The Rector should have named the lecturer so that students and the polytechnic community could verify the information.

Some of these lazy academics will just do a poorly photocopied and badly edited, cut and paste nonsense and then impose it on the students at a fee.

Just like the hierarchy of the police is accused of getting returns from the 'rogers' of their boys on the field, I suspect that the Senior lecturers and management of these institutions are in cahoots with these extortionists handouts merchants.

The HOC/ Class Governors are even other set of monsters to contend with.

Gosh!
Politics › Re: Osinbajo, Lame-duck Vice-president? by LibertyRep: 11:22am On Sep 10, 2021
No Vice President will ever be as powerful as Atiku Abubakar again.

...except the Constitution is tampered with.
Politics › Re: North Central Insists On 2023 Presidency, Rejects Party Chairmanship Position by LibertyRep: 10:22pm On Sep 09, 2021
Nigeria is either North or South.

They'll likely remain in the shadow of the Core North for a long time to come.
The only way out is for them to revert to the Middle Belt and severe any tie with the North.
Politics › Re: This Trouser Deserves Double Portion Comment - Reno Fires Buhari For His Trouser by LibertyRep: 9:30pm On Sep 09, 2021
The trouser may not be entirely bad. Perhaps it's the standing posture of the wearer that makes it look odd.
Politics › Re: Adamawa Becomes First Northern State To Support VAT Reform by LibertyRep: 2:52pm On Sep 09, 2021
After VAT, next is the Stamp Duty, and many more to follow

Fiscal federalism is the precursor to true federalism.

The FG will willingly give up some of the baggages it carries.
