Madam abeg park well. You finished receiving APL through your sponsor while claiming merit. Now you're busy appealing about hurting next boss cuz you're already there. Shebi it's person that sponsor help that can even talk of boss. It's obvious you're scared of the entire process crumbling and you're subtly looking for a way to persuade people from protesting against obvious injustice. fachuba: Hello ladies & guys. I want to say something about the new move for the protest Let's not become enemies to our bosses before we meet them Let me share a personal experience. When I moved into a particular quarters with my husband, we were told of a man who is of the same tribe. My husband knew the man but I didn't, only heard about & barely ever seen him clearly. When I got the job I'm on now, my husband went to meet the man when I came to Abuja for documentation, hubby heard the man works in the place I just got a job and the man happened to be the HOD of the department I was posted to. When I returned we went together to see him & that was the face time I was ever seeing the man face to face. From the way he spoke it was obvious he had issues with us/me and it was confirmed when I resumed as a colleague we did documentation together with told me the man was bragging about how he'd deal with in the office because I don't greet him... Someone I didn't know oo He has presently formed alliance with the state Cordinator to deal with me & they r putting their plans together in a very dubious way but here I am laughing at their ignorance. In conclusion, I'm not saying you shouldn't carry out your plans. But if you're sure, that's your instinct is telling you that you will get this job please just hide your face. Just help ur career start on a good note to enable u mentain such without much stress. If you've not worked in the civil service before & you're also agitating for this protest, just stylishly withdraw so that u don't have to verbally curse yourself after bringing frustration upon yourself due to your actions. All the best to us all |

Madam, I'm really shocked that you wrote this despite the usual appeals for calm and "we are on top of the situation" posture you project Onyiridike: We know that nepotism is everywhere in Nigeria but DPR would have done underground recruitment instead of making innocent Nigerians go through pains.
Why the advert, aptitude test and interview?
What stops them from sending regret mail or closing the portal of unsuccessful candidates?
I never expected this high level of unprofessionalism from the people that regulate our petroleum resources. |

It is the same way those who benefitted didn't fight for anyone's good but theirs. How can you logically say that a recruitment is by merit when the stakeholder candidates are the ones given priority? And you continue to justify such? Allow people to protest rather then telling them to give DPR weeks to conclude the whole charade at which point it will be most difficult to register any grievance. Stop trying to launder the process as merit abeg. It is clear that some people are on this forum to deliberately shout merit while they benefit through the backdoor, if not why urging people to be patient until stakeholders finish sharing letters. heisenberg33: Having being a silent follower of this thread, including posting something once a few months back, I feel the need to post again. Before you all jump into conclusions, and start up a protest, you all need to slow down and give DPR some weeks. Many of you have already concluded that this recruitment is not by merit, but what if you are wrong? What if it was actually merit based for the most part? Ofcourse, no matter how merit based something is, there will always be a few individuals who will come in through the back door. This doesnt happen only in Nigeria, it happens also in advanced societies. Even in heaven, many people will not get in by merit (but i digress).
You do not want to rush and start a movement prematurely calling the recruitment fake, and risk the anger of the management if they had actually tried and fought for most of the list to be based on merit. In that regard, even the successful ones who made it by merit would have shot themselves in the foot. Many of you here should be careful of those who are so eager to call this recruitment fake, and start a movement. It is possible these people never made it to the interview, and are envious of you all who made it, and thus want this recruitment canceled. It could also be that a few of them who made it to the interview found a way to check their names, and saw they didnt make it and are seeking to discredit it. Be wise and careful of starting any movement on social media that could jeopardize what may otherwise have been a mostly fair recruitment. Give them a few more weeks and if you do not hear anything, then you can push it the protest way. You all have been patient all these while, what would a few more weeks of patience cost? Do not act like the proverbial tortoise who was to be locked in a pit of "pooh" for 7 days, only to start complaining so badly on the 7th day when he was already scheduled to be released, which caused his sentence to be increased.
I can only go by DPR's antecedents in the 2010 to 2013 recruitment, which i was a part of. That recruitment was mostly merit based. There was a lot of hoopla about the list been hijacked by the powers that be. However, DPR recruited a vast majority of people by merit. I do not expect them to deviate much this time. So, be patient and allow this thing play out, and for now pay no heed to those who want to start some kind of movement. You think they may be fighting for the common good, but they could be masquerading the real intent, which is to render the entire process null and void, irrespective of how many got it on merit. |

Well. The Nigerian system is pretty frustrating. Why waste people's time to make a process look pure? You have mentioned NNPC recruitment again... The same NNPC recruitment where I got to the interview following the aptitude test in December 2014, and for which the interview remains indefinitely suspended till now even after Philips Consulting sent succes sms then to notify of impending interview. Last I heard was that the spots have been fill3d through the backdoor and the same organization is coming back again to use Nigerians again to run a merit-less recruitment process, the same way that of DPR is panning out. I tire!!! Marvel65: Good morning guys,
I trust everyone is doing fine.
Firstly, I would like to congratulate those that have received their APLs. I wish you the best in your career with DPR. As the saying goes, “To whom much is given, much is expected”.
I have been following and viewing this thread silently since last week. A few things I talked about have finally taken place and confirmed but some persons didn’t take me serious and were more concerned about release dates while others used most of the information provided to their advantage. I posted something about a few persons that received APLs since last month. Well, I never expected some of them on this thread to own up and I won’t blame them for not doing so since the APLs were not officially released at that time. I don’t like to forcefully convince people to accept the info I provide but I knew some persons were aware of what I posted and they were not happy with the revelations. They did everything to confuse people and now these same persons have received their APLs and abandoned this thread. There’s one thing that can’t change in this world, the truth always win the battle in the end.
Sincerely, I’m not happy with the way the APLs were distributed. It’s not a big deal to send SMS and Emails to the successful applicants. There is no justification for this action taken and I don’t see any reason for the rush. Well, they know best. However, some that have received their APLs through their sponsors made it on merit. It’s just that they had someone in the system that helped them pick theirs. The majority that received were part of the stakeholders list. I want to reiterate that 80% made it on merit believe it or not. So don’t think what had happened these past few days was an indication that very few persons were selected on merit.
The successful ones that have no one will be contacted officially from the zonal offices provided the candidate’s mobile number on the portal is active and home address is correct just in case DPR decides to deliver it to your door step. I want to assure you that everything is in control. The letters are being dispatched in batches, so please be patient with them and don’t be discouraged. Those that will be contacted officially will testify on this thread soon.
Currently, there is a disagreement between Mr Tata and union members over the number of EH recruited and the negative effect it would have on the existing staff. The number of EH recruited were more than 150 and Mr Tata wanted to place them on levels that could hinder the promotion of the current staff. The agreement was to recruit more entry level staff considering the manpower deficit in the system. The union members have decided to confront Mr Tata to defend himself and ensure he slashes the EH number by half and replace them with more GT. I will provide more updates on this issue when the matter has been resolved.
Thanks @square62 and I greatly appreciate your time and effort.
Lastly, if you don’t make in the end just know that you were never meant to be there in the first place. There is still hope and a better opportunity awaits you.
NNPC recruitment loading....
Goodluck to Everyone!!! |

Sorry for the loss of your son Madam. May God grant him eternal rest. However, how do you justify merit when you also have a stakeholder? Isn't that a conflict of interest? You even had access to your score and position in your State even before sorting was done to also determine performance based on job roles and you still boast of getting the job on merit? At least even if the bad path is the norm in our nation, our conscience should prick us in not boasting of benefiting from such ills. This is really brazen! fachuba: Please help me clarify something, are u getting unofficially because of connection or u actually pulled through successfully in every stage? I don't get why people are so discouraged already. Trust me ladies & guys, this thing still stands on the percentage merits. Even while people where doing their permutations up & down on this thread I was just reading silently cos at the end of the interview I knew my scores in total & knew my overall position from my state, so stakeholder or not I'm proud to say that I got this on merit base. I worked really well by the help of God to cross every stage. & yes whether stakeholder candidate or not this is a compensation to an extent for loosing my child in the course of the job interview |

OGA STOP DECEIVING PEOPLE NAH. Why try to do the explanation for DPR.... People are showing letters and you still say they are lying. This your post isn't a good way to fool people. NECBEC: Please let's all be patient, most people might be lying here. You don't know this people typing and posting messages. The reason why DPR recruitment takes lot of time is to frustrate stakeholders and to make them give up on the wait(I was told). Some married women where contacted to ask if they can be posted else were from where their family reside that's all. You've come this far without knowing anybody don't give up. These are tricks. DPR needs capable hands because of the nature of their job; so in as much as they might help some people e.g. family they still need people that can work.(correct me where necessary) |

So how do we know this recruitment is fraud-free when some people who have been giving us info here always canvas that the recruitment is highly merit-based and the same people suddenly turn out to be getting letters through stakeholders? Isn't it clear now that such folks have deliberately been running 80% merit campaign to make us believe the process is based on merit while they continued to push through their godfathers? Those class of people clearly want us to believe they got the job on merit while the reverse is the case. INJUSTICE WILL ONLY LEAD TO MORE INJUSTICE UNTIL IT DESTROYS THIS NATION. Ferguson0709: Hello hopefuls, You people should be calm. The stakeholders and powerful people picked their candidates appointment letters and give to them. DPR haven’t officially started calling or texting but they will do so soon. It’s only a matter of hours and days. The merit candidates will get messages. I repeat, the only pple that have their letters now are the stakeholders candidate and they are not up to 50. Don’t give yurSelf HBP before you collect your letters o. Thanks all |

Onyiridike: God is wonderful. The delay was actually in my favour. I used the opportunity to complete my postgraduate program. However, it would have been better if I had it handy before interview as many have claimed that additional qualification is an added advantage. Altogether, I believe strongly that I made the list. Congratulations. Also just completed though they bombarded me with the question at the interview. Which of the positions did you apply for? |

OutOfTheAshes: Omo see as here quite ,pls, nobody should blame all those that took their time and efforts to get information about this recruitment for us here. It's not easy to get such information. Even some staff of DPR don't know anything about this recruitment. We should be grateful to them. Most of the dates given were true from my findings but, the king, Mr tata is playing a mind game on everyone excluding the director himself because both of them are highest authorities regarding this recruitment...reasons best known to them. I strongly believe many godfathers were disappointed, and the pressure is too much on them, hence the delay. By the time the Apls are out, I will make a shocking revelation here. The silent wait is NOT easy!!!!!!! Since it's obvious that the king is playing mind games on everyone, then it's imperative that dates should be posted with caution rather than a near-authoritative style. |

From my little findings this afternoon, the feedback was that the list is being compiled in the "high" places and will only be available for all in about two weeks time. The response implies that only people with contacts in the "high" offices can have a glimpse of the list for now. Summary: Not less than two-weeks estimate from now for public release and notifications. |

The fact is that the issue of workers in the health sector is being overemphasized. If we are to be sincere to ourselves, every profession is poorly remunerated in Nigeria. What of engineers, pharmacists, lawyers, accountants and the like? Don't they even face worse remuneration and working conditions than the medical doctors face?
In fact, medical doctors are even treated better than all other professions in Nigeria as they are the only ones that enter the civil service on grade level 12 as against level 8 used at which most other professions enter into the civil service.
The only thing is that medical doctors have the opportunity of being employed abroad which also comes with better working conditions. In essence, every facets of our National live are in near-tatters, and we should concentrate in changing all for the better. |

My best guess or suggestion per the ECOWAS capital question means where ECOWAS secretariat is located. Skyview0112: Dpr knows the best, all we can do is guess that's where the uncertainty comes from.. Let me share mine and I want everyone reading this to tell me what he or she think, Interview was very interesting, but yunno that doesn't declare a good performance. Just like have been asked so many questions and answering to the extent.. I was asked what is the full meaning of Ecowas which I answered then he went forward asking what is the capital of ecowas, at first I paused cos I haven't heard of anything like that capital of ecowas.. so what I said was I don't know, maybe I should have said there way nothing like that to make them sure I know there's nothing like that.. anyways that was after I came out I was thinking about that.. there's nothing like capital of ecowas!! 2. This is where I want you to tell me what you think here.. the interviewer went forward and ask if I have a msc which I answers No, before saying what's on my mind, he went ahead talking and said.. (When you start working, make sure you get your masters done' cos you will need it) he said it like yunno someone assuring you of something, in same moment he realized his statement wasn't professional and said ( I mean If you are lucky to get the job you should do your masters) and went ahead with further questions..
Am not saying that is making me get the job but just saying there might be some factors they see on there computer that judges a applicant and that might prompt the kind of questions they ask you...
Feel free to say what you think.. no offense |

The issue on ground is quite simple, EazyMoh should just help us confirm the mode of contact. He should confirm if through phone, email or SMS. Moreover, it seems those that were called as relayed in the conversation in the screenshot were politically-influenced. And if such line exists, they won't even need to wait for the "masses" list to process theirs. EazyMoh should just help ask the mode of communication and probably post the actual communication here to assist us all in putting one or two things together. |
