Could it be that the touchpad needs replacement? Are you sure it was flashing you did in the first place or you just factory reset the phone? If it were a software error, flashing will normally correct and fix the issue. Try a touchpad replacement.

Thank you so much for the response. It probably should be the touchpad as you suggested; as i have flashed the phone using sp tools.

I will probably take the phone to computer village to check it out today.

My Techno R7 was working perfectly until a few days ago when the screen suddenly became very slow to respond to touch. This has made typing very frustrating.

I really don't know, but I noticed the phone swipes normally to the left or right, but responding to downward pressure is the problem
I have flashed the phone in a bid to solve the problem, but no response.

Can you please advise what I could do to solve this problem?
