ZUBY77: It's not about liking the givernment in power. You people always like to change the narrative when it doesn't fit you. First of all, it's not coaster road, it's coastal road. That's said, Coastal road is a very good project, people love it, I love it. It's right behind my house. People's problem started when there was no bidding whatsoever for the project. Secondly people complained that the government is focusing mostly in Lagos. That's people's anger my friend, not whether it was a good project or not. Thanks for the correction, yes Coastal not Coaster! it was a typo. My concern is how Nigerian miss their focus, we can demand accountability without destroying the Project. We like it when we see outside, but if it's in our country we talk down on it and discourage it. The Coastal Road is one of the multi-state project in Nigeria Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Cross River States, a total of 7 States. This project was not build for Lagos State alone It will open up over 700km of our Ocean Coast lines for tourism, promoting blue economy and generating employment. Why should anyone attack this project. Yes we can call for accountability but let's preserve the project. |

Buhari in 1984 shutdown jakande's rail initiative that could have spiral into what china is building today, but in 2015 same u n ur likes thought it wise to vote in a serial economy killer and a grandiose failure to lead Nigeria to eldorado. Again you betrayed yourself. So in your words, your problem is with PBAT and not the Coastal Road! |

kutashi: You are quick to mention the one Buhari shut down, only to forget Lagos-Ibadan and the cargo one from Lagos port to Kaduna initiated and completed by Buhari! Record fastest gigantic completed projects ever in the history of Nigeria! But your focus was on the coastal road by ...!
Always hypocrites! I can't still see what you are saying. How does finishing Lagos Ibadan expressway justify shutting down the Metroline 42years ago. My point is that Buhari wasn't visionary 1984,the same way some of you are not visionary about the Coastal Road. That's my point. By the way, as laudable as the Lagos Kaduna kano Niger Republic Rail line is crucial, Buhari couldn't finish it because people like you were abusing him that he's building Train to His country Country |

MrSly: How much is the cost of the coastal road owe kilometer? Can you comprehend it? To unusual govt is corrupt and uses overly inflated cost of project to enrich themselves. Nigerians are aware and so they no longer enjoy the trust of the people hence the reaction they receive. Again they have misplaced priorities. How many Chinese people are beheaded after being kidnapped from school? How many are sacked from their community? Does ghost drive on coastal high way. It's the lack of projects like this that leads to extreme unemployment the leads to crime. The over 700kilometer costal road will undoubtedly open up tourism along that route employing millions of people. You guys are so shortsighted |

You see how long it take China to complete this project? That's less than 4 years... Nigeria would have taken 50 years and cost 100x Is that why Buhari killed the Metroline in 1984? |

Meanwhile tinibu is currently the president of Nigeria and we never see anything meaningful do, where did all these "he built Lagos" come from? Tinubu is less than 3years in office, he's done well with his reforms and road infrastructure. Plus others like the student loans etc |

franchasng: Which coastal highway?
The one that Tinubu's government awarded to Hitech, a company that Tinubu's family have a stake in? Is that how Xi Jinping awards government contracts in China? If Nigeria was China, Tinubu and his entire cabinet will be languishing in jail after a nationwide protest rocks the nation demanding his immediate removal for constitutional violations, nepotism and bias leadership!
The coastal highway project that was awarded with corruption and violation of our national laws which states that every government project contract must pass through public bidding and contract vetting and awarding processes that involve hundreds of contractors submitting their bids and quotations, but your coastal highway got awarded without public bidding and with over inflated cost that can even complete this very largest railway station being talked about. Please if you dont have something meaningful to say, just scroll.
Meanwhile, Chinese government didn't abandon their dilapidated old railway stations to start this new railway station just to score some cheap point and to steal China money from the overpriced project. Abeg pack one side, we are talking about serious nations governed by sincere leaders that are working for the communal prosperity of their nation and you are talking about Nigeria led by a cunning man ruling Nigeria with bias mind and nepotism to favor only his people and region against other parts of the country, is that how Xi Jinping developed China? Have you ever visited China before? I have and I almost cried like a baby even without knowing. Plz dont get me upset pls pls Typical of your type. You haven't addressed my point. |

We Nigerians are quick to appreciate good projects but yet kills such initiative in our country! 1. Buhari in 1984 shut down the Metroline that the government of Lateef Jakande proposed for Lagos. 2. Some Nigerians are today criticizing the Coastal Road and the Lagos, Sokoto Road. We need to support transformative project irrespective if whether we like the government in power or not. Honbright: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reportedly cautioned the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, against interfering in the affairs of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, advising him to focus on his ministerial responsibilities and allow party structures to manage internal matters.
According to sources familiar with the development, the President specifically invited the minister to a closed-door meeting held in Lagos. The meeting was also attended by the National Chairman of the APC, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda.
During the meeting, President Tinubu was said to have expressed concerns over the minister’s alleged involvement in the political activities of the party in Ondo State.
“I appointed you a minister, but it’s obvious you’re getting distracted with politics. Recently, you were accused of disturbing the peace of our party in Ondo State during an interview on Channels Television, and now your actions are proving that allegation right,” the President reportedly said.
Sources further revealed that the President advised Tunji-Ojo to concentrate on the administration of the Interior Ministry and avoid actions capable of creating tension within the APC in Ondo State.
The development comes amid growing political discussions surrounding the internal dynamics of the ruling party in the state. OP, what is your source, this looks like a lambagini. |
