Politics / Re: LP Welcomes Atiku’s Merger Proposal, NNPP Gives Condition by Lifestone(m): 10:17am On Nov 16, 2023
casualobserver:

The idea is dead on arrival. The merger won’t work for the same reason they split up in the 1st place. A re-emerged PDP (which is what a merger between LP,PDP and Kwakwanso is) will never give the ticket to Obi.

The difference between APC and PDP (and it’s splinter groups) is very clear. I urge you to watch the video by Yomi Awoniyi former deputy governor of Kogi state under PDP on YouTube. After 25 years in PDP (his father was a founding member). He defected to APC a few months ago in disgust at the manner with which Dino was given the ticketAa. He said he was shocked at the level of strategic planning in APC. That is what separates APC and PDP. PDP are a party who were gifted power in 1999, and have maintained power by rigging. As soon as it started to become difficult to rig (starting with the reforms under Jonatha) they started to lose their grip on power. The problem with PDP members ( the like of Atiku, Obi, Kwakwanso). Is that they still have that mentality of impunity and rigging that characterized the Obasanjo PDP era. They don’t know how to be strategic, . They don’t know how to compromise, they are not fundamentally democrats.

Whatever your views on APC respect them for their ability to compromise, align settle rifts, pacify members, give and take and act strategically . That is why they win elections. You rarely ever hear of rancour in APC. APC will find a way to pacify you and keep you sweet of you are politically relevant. APC rarely do fight to end amongst members and when rifts occur, they will settle. When PDP have internal problems it is fight to finish. PDP is a party of egos and a merger will not succeed for the same reason they split up.

PDP were handed power by the military, the culture of a true political party of varied interests in not in their DNA. APC had to work for power. I made a comment in 2015, that almost all the reasonable people in PDP have left, the ones left are those with core PDP mindset. They are the ones driven by ego and impunity. They will never agree on anything, they are the kind of people who will scatter everything if they don’t get what they want, they are the kind that jump from party to party. They are not loyal. Look at the presidential candidates in the last elections, if you examine all the PDP or ex-PDP candidates Obi, Atiku and Kwakwanso, they have they have defected as least twice. Tinubu has never left his party from day 1.

Did you see the Kogi PDP youth wing on TV celebrating the defeat of Dino and thanking INEC? I have never seen a party where from rivers to Oyo and now to Kogi, party members are celebrating their defeat. I have never seen a party where an APC president from an opposition party is settling rifts in PDP. A party where PDP governors are thanking the president for settling their internal problems. This is the same party that will be unified if they re-merge?

Watch this video. This is probably one of the most honest assessments you will hear from a politician.

A sound review. But what you have omitted is that people evolve, and some evolution are forced because of the rapidly changing environment that forms their new reality, that's in my mind what will bring them together. For once they seems to have gotten over the illusion of their strength and come to the reality that individually the can not defeat APC except with some other factors, this may become the motivation for merger. It worked for APC, it should work for them.

Wide different Sir.

Bureau of statistics isn't typically business related but the other is.
To me this appears to be duplication when we are all crying that the government is too large and amount to waste of resources.
NBS was designed to handle stuffs this, rather than holding them accountable to deliver on their mandate, we going to create another agency.

Oh so na the two PDP thieves that went separate ways we should have voted for if they merge? Keep dreaming. We know better now that one of the thieves is a religious bigot who is a no achiever but a divider of youths with his croaked voice and the other we know well to want to sell our country to his gang of thieves. So tell us more about ELUPEE and FEEDEFEE
How is APC better in term of corruption? A new fresh face should emerge post merger to Challenge the current faces. I don't expect any of the current breed of politicians to participate. Diasporians should come home and join the building blocks. Opposition has to start early, they have a lot of works to do

Medicine after death. This should have been done prior to 2023 General Election. Tinubu wouldn't have become the President.
I kept saying Nigerians didn't prefer APC after the Buhari disaster, opposition parties out of greedy individuals divided their votes and handed the election to APC. Check the figures.

I teach in a very good school where only very rich men send their kids. But the truth is that I've slept with alot of women whose children school are my students, i mean classic women, very rich. Both Igbo, yoruba etc. Though many times I feel the guilt whenever i enter some classes to teach and then i see those students whose mother's I'm sleeping with. Do you know the funny part? I've got videos of all of them naked in the hotel room with me, i did those videos for evidence sake, incase they tend to twist the stories one day when they become careless and they are caught, though without their consent. There's a colonel's wife amongst them, there's also a top DSS of officers wife too. Please guys how do i stop? I've tried so much to stop but when i think about the money I get from them which helps me alot, it makes me continue. I've posted this similar topic before but i was bashed seriously instead of solution.

Ummm...all who embraced the ibos?

The Ibos were the major victims of the war...they were left with nothing, their finances were crippled and to add to that, their monies (the rich, average and poor) in the banks were confiscated only to be handed just 20pounds and this was just for the people of the east alone. We started with almost nothing but look at us today, I'm sure you can testify to that.

Your sympathy is not appreciated.

Take it to another tribe.

We're doing good.

Thanks but no thanks.
I offered no sympathy.

it´s just amazing and highly inspirational how the ibos despite being left with nothing but a meagre 20pounds for each household after the civil war with almost zero infrastructures, still managed to rise at a quick recovery speed like nothing happened.

Why would other tribes not be sick with envy and unnecessary hatred?.

I have zero blames for them sha, i would be envious if i were them...to be sincere.

But then again, it is what it is.

PROUDLY IBO....OUR SWAG IS SECOND TO NONE!!
This was possible because we all embraced the Igbos after the war especially the Yorubas, but what have we gotten this far from Igbos, spite and hatred

Crime / Re: How I Was Falsely Accused Of Stealing A Guy's Genitals Yesterday by Lifestone(m): 9:19am On Nov 11, 2023
Kalatium:
No sooner was I on my way leaving the market, after buying all what I need and ticking all the items on my list than a stranger came out of the blue to accuse me of stealing his penis.

I won't say the state this happened.

At first I didn't clearly understood what he meant because he initially said, I should return what left his body.

What looked like a funny claim in my ear turned serious as he started shouting and calling the attention of passers by. People started encircling us and the guy who accused me said we are going to police station, I was like why will I follow you to station when I didn't do anything wrong.

One of the passers by said I should just follow him if I know I am truly Innocent since the station is not far. I had no choice that to follow them to prove my innocence ( the accuser and the passer-by) with many thoughts on my mind.
On our way I resolved to call all the important people I know that can get me out of this mess. I first dialed my dad's number and started explaining what was going on before the guy said I should cut the call that we must go to that station or else he will collect my phone.

Eventually we arrived there, and met two police men inside the station compound, then my accuser started laying claim of his stolen manhood story. I was called to narrate what happened and I told them I just left the market gate after purchasing all I needed from the market only to be falsely accused.

The two officer took us inside the station to write a statement. After the accuser narrated his story once more, one of the officer was laughing.
The police asked what I do for a living and I told him I am a medical Doctor and the hospital I work. He asked the accuser same question who said he is a university student and doesn't stay far from the market. He asked of both our phone numbers and also gave out his number to us. Then he asked the accuser to put his hand in his trouser to confirm if his manhood is there, the guy touched and the manhood was there.

He then started saying that initially he didn't feel anything there that there have been cases like that in his school and that he was shocked that the thing happened to him that's why he dragged the case to the station.

The police then said that he has been hearing about this stealing of manhood and that people can do diabolical things for money. However, it could also be that his mind might be playing tricks on him as such he felt his penis might be missing when it actuality it is actually there.

The police man said I should go that since the guy has confirmed his penis is intact, there is no case. He said I shouldn't be annoyed that if I were in the guy's shoes I might as well do the same . He also said that it could be that it actually happened but me being there at the wrong time and being there when he felt such that he will easily take the person close by as the culprit. I felt relieved but at the same time angry for been falsely accused and my time wasted for something as dumb as this.

When we were going outside the station, the guy who falsely accused me was dragging his foot and kept working very slow such that I was at a far distance in the front. The passer-by that followed us early was apologizing to me, that I shouldn't be angry.

Damn, I was just feeling different emotions. However, I thank God nothing happened to me ( I wasn't hurt and no mob action or jungle justice), nothing was missing and I came back home safe and fine.

My dad who is in another state got worried when I called earlier. If something had happened to me that guy will have had the worst day of his life. The kind of people that will have come for him eh.

There were 2 things on my mind. It's either that guy did it intentionally to put me in trouble or he is delusional ( superstitious) and/or actually suffering from Koro syndrome.

Help move this to Fp so everyone can be aware of this.
Why wouldn't you mention the State where this happened. You should as well have gotten the guy arrested and prosecuted to serve as deterrent to future occurrence.

They were black already.

Black people get darker and their skins shrivel up in conditions of famine.

The famine conditions in a period in which they were under Babylonian captivity made the Israelites' skin pitch black and shrivelled, and they noticed and reported, in Lamentations 5:10 ''our skin is black like an oven from the terrible famine''.

This is what I saw in Lamentation 3: 10 is there something I'm missing. Check your facts

Does a white man’s skin turn “black like an oven“ when he is hungry?

Nope.

That only happens to black folks during famine.

Go and watch old videos of famine in Darfur and Somalia. The people turn pure pitch black.

So black that they turn an ash-coloured, smoky grey black, like of an ‘oven’.

And it's hunger that made them to become black?
