Politics / Re: Two Ohanaeze Leaders Claim ‘acting President General’ by Lifestone(m): 7:54am On Aug 09
Brendaniel:

Is there a vice president? If there is, he is supposed to be from Imo state to avoid all these issues, he would have stayed the complete term for Imo state till the next election which is zoned to Rivers state...
I get your point. So the Vice president comes from where the next President should come from and becomes the President automatically on the demise of the incumbent president. Simple

To stop all these leadership issue, they should make the president and vice president come from the same state, that way in situations like this the vice president automatically becomes the president while every other state waits for their own turn, also the Ohaneze organization can be more structured to carry every Igbo person in Nigeria and in diaspora along...

A whole lot of things need to be worked on going further...
Succession plans were in place, the Next President should come from Imo State, the struggle now is who will act till the final right of passage for Iwanyanwu and before Imo State Nominees comes out. I think the Rivers Man is just fighting injustice and interference in Rivers State Chapter

This people sef.

Don't they have constitution?

I think the secretary should act pending a substantive president.
From the write up, the Rivers Man ought to have become the Deputy President General since last year, to complete the tenor of Rivers State as Deputy President General.but he was not ratified by ime-obi with no good reason. If he was ratified, he would automatically have become the Acting President General.
Maybe they know that Iwanyanwu will soon Kpai and don't want a Rivers person to become President General.

You people are getting the story wrongly with the wrong heading.

Even the four out of every one hundred in the south east is debatable. I can bet with my life that almost all the children in the east are attending school. South West is an embarrassment to the south.
I'm Yoruba, that South West figure is a big shame. Our Governor should step up

I took a 2 hours bus ride to Central London to attend an interview (written and verbal) which did cost me about £50, it is part of the cost of climbing the ladder...I did get the job.
How do you even go for a job test or interview thinking you will not get the job. The OP gloatingly posting his response here shows how low he's is. So entitled

I don’t think any employer should still follow the old trend of physical interview especially at the first stage.

So I should waste about 10k to Lagos to and fro just for the first stage of an interview.

Never!

You're just confused. And of course anyone who is traumatised would discourage others out of fear. This protest is only carried by those who didn't experience endsars. Secondly, you sound like a kid or dependent. Us parents understand what it means to survive at this time and nobody wishes evil on anyone. But since you wish me evil, may your evil declaration now and thereafter backfire and fall upon you alone as long as you wish so on anyone existing... So be it!
So stop supporting what hurts others. Most of the guys looting in the name of protest took N1k to vote during last election. I hope this hardship resets our brain so we vote right.
By the way I didn't curse you, I don't have intension to curse, I trust you do not intrinsically wish evil for others.

You saw nothing ahead. And of course, violence should be expected at Nigerian protests and general elections. Should the nation back down from election because of violence? Or should people die in silence at the hands of hunger because of violence?

The police is there to control violence from escalating. It happened in the US and properties were destroyed, would they now discourage people from exercising their rights? As long as humans are concerned, violence must occur when they're expressing their anger in mass. So, stop discouraging protest because it's your grandfather's turn to be in Aso rock but encouraged others when he was yet there.
My worry here is that you not leading this protest. But you do not care who is killed or who owns properties that would be destroyed. You and your co-travellers looted private businesses and burnt private vehicles and see the stuff you are writing.
You know what, e go soon reach you, the evil you wished for others will soon reach you.
For I can never wish an uncontrolled protest because I'm a survival of Endsars protest.
By the way, what's my business with Tinubu, I didn't vote for him or Peter Obi.

I think you guys are happy now. Maybe Northerners have now seen a sample of what the Southern States saw during the #Endsars and why we campaign seriously against this protest.
I hope you people advocating for the protest have seen the outcome. We saw it ahead.

I'm sure you know that you can't loot and go free. You will be arrested and prosecuted.
Never get me wrong, I'm not in defense of our Leaders living big and large when citizens continue to suffer. The subsidy they removed was used to fuel their greed.
My point is that violence and looting is self affliction when it's already bad.
I was almost shot during the Endsars protests.
What happened in the north is exactly what we feared.
If the people fighting today had not collected 1k to vote, maybe just maybe we won't be here now.
