Politics / Re: Kenyan Politician Advices Nigerians Against Spoiling Nigeria's Brand Globally by Lifestone(m): 7:36am On Feb 19
Umueme:

As much as I hate "tarnishing the nigerian image", the people doing so online have every right to do so. The bulk of the population with access to internet voted certain candidate(s). Their candidate not winning, means one thing; they play the role of the opposition. Mentioning countries like Argentina and Co., they wont complain cause they voted in their leaders not like Nigeria with all electoral malpractices known to man. If he really was people's choice, he wouldn't be dragged at every slight opportunity. Jonathan was dragged, but not as bad as MB and BAT who are successfully pushing us back to stone age
By doing this, we are hurting ourselves more pushing only negative news about Nigeria.
At the end of the day we will all be hurt

Lagos hatred against Igbos continue... The country is burning their concentration should be on how to revive the dying Nigerian economy and not making things more difficult for people. What is the difference in cost in terms of transportation and the people's willingness to go to Egba to patronize them and is this the best time for this with all that is going on in this country
Igbos and victim mentality are like 5 & 6
In their views, every policy is against them.

Politics / Re: Wikileaks & Forbes: Military & Civilians Leaders Responsible For Dangote Wealth by Lifestone(m): 9:24am On Feb 15
maestroferddi:
People like you are cancerous to the emancipation of this country from economic and political principalities...

Why is Nigeria condemned as a shit hole while a country like US is destined to infinitely remain at the top?

The answer is because of the people and institution.

I don't know how old you are....

Less than 20 years ago, Bill Gates was at the height of his powers as the wealthiest man on the planet.

His signature company Microsoft was ubiquitous. It was spreading everywhere and gradually creating a virtual monopoly.

In a country where humans use their brain to reason both constructively and productively, an Anti-Trust suit was instituted to challenge Bill Gates attempt to emasculate or even eliminate competition...

Of course Bill Gates fought back by assembling some of the smartest lawyers in the land to have his way BUT the judiciary is incorruptible and uncompromising...

At the end of the day, a legislation was passed regulating the business practises of mega corporation to ensure that they do not stifle competition.

Today, Bill Gates is still one of the richest in the world but SMART THINKING and objectivity has helped spawn the likes of George Bezos and Elon Musk who are even wealthier than Gates...

You sow a wind and turn to complain when the whirlwind starts ...

So what have you said with all this your ranting?
Dangote was born rich, he's smart and grew his businesses, so what's your problem with that. You guys simply hate successful people, yet you pray on daily basis to be successful.
Is it Dangote that says Elephant Cement should not be able to compete, did he asked Northern Cement company not to capitalize and grow to compete, the guy is simply smarter than most of his competitors, only BUA is giving him a good run, incidentally another Hausa man. All we do here in the south is to run our mouth

greenermodels:
I'm in support of the nurses on this, it costs millions to train a nurse in Nigeria today so why violate their God given rights at the end of it?
Because Nigeria needs them. All over the world, such policies are put in place for National interest.
Also, there is heavy subsidy in our educational system in Nigeria especially the Federal Schools

That Abagana ambush was the third of such incident of Biafran soldiers facing General Murtala Mohammed and his 2nd division of the Nigerian. In all 3 scenarios the 2nd division of the Nigerian military was routed , decimated and destroyed with Murtala Mohammed and few soldiers managing to escape, I can bring information from Dawodu.com and other verifiable sources if this becomes heavily doubted.
The Biafrans were just too good , agile and strong for the Nigerian military, the battle of OAU that gave Adekunle PTSD and Obasanjo groin injuries is still there
The Biafrans reduced the whole 3rd marine command from 33000 to less than 500 men , this was before the operation tail wind and the final negotiation to halt the war.

The only war strategy Nigeria had was blockade of vital medical from red cross and sabotaging farms ,
Lol. Abagana was an ambush.

Crime / Re: FCT, Ekiti, Adamawa, Imo, Six Others Get New Police Commissioners by Lifestone(m): 10:45am On Feb 01
Exousiang01:

The NPF is a federal government department not a state government department.
When you have state police that is when you can talk about a governor having control on the commissioner of Police in his state.

States are struggling to pay basic salaries you guys are clamoring for state police, aside Lagos and less than 5 other states, how many states can equip a police department, fund their salaries and pensions.

People make demands without looking forward.
The governor's use the police to intimidate people, do and undo and this is not even a state police yet.
What do you guys think would happen when the governor choses his own commissioner?
Nigeria is not ripe for state policing
You missed the point altogether. A restructuring of our Constitution will return most of the functions and revenue that were hijacked by the Federal Government back to the State as it was with the 1960 constitution

Where is the role of the State Governors in determining who police a State and yet they are called the Chief Security Officer of their respective State. 1999 Constitution is a scam and should be completely restructured, not reviewed

Crime / Re: FCT, Ekiti, Adamawa, Imo, Six Others Get New Police Commissioners by Lifestone(m): 2:54am On Feb 01
These are very cosmetic arrangements. What we need as a nation is a comprehensive Policing reforms that promote decentralization of Policing to State and Local Government as it was done in the Pre-independence and immediate after independence.
In the USA, Counties Cities etc have their separate police department, this allows for quick and home made decision making. The current centralized Police structure is cumbersome for our Country.
No amount of transfers or promotions will help
