No, every good thing is not owned by a big man. Most things are owned by a lot of small scale industries and businessmen and women.

The big men have the capital to set up large scale industries...which is why they appear to own everything.

Besides what you are suggesting is that the government seize big men's companes and force them to sell what they make at a loss to help the maases...It does not work because all the expertiese, equipment, materials, etc that someone like Dangote use to make their products are made by lots of small people....who want to be PAID....and part of the big man's profits ...goes into paying them


Besides, if you want to own part of big man's company.BUY SHARES. (That's how people like my late grandad made lots of money).




It has never worked. Once upon a time, Soviet companies offered cheap products for many people...now those comapnes have become capitalist companies who want cash upfront. things cost money.

Same for chinese companies. Many of them want cash up front. No more free stuff...like the tan zam rail.

Let's talk about Nigerian companies..

How many companies in Nigeria have been built from their garages. The masses are not progressing in Nigeria.

Don't forget capitalist companies also fail and go broke.

Capitalist economies are not immuned to failure too.

3.What you are asking for has been tried before...in most Communist countries...and at the end, the projects failed. There is no such thing as masses taking part in building a project that can benefit them. At the end of the day, the masses would want to buy stuff from the same industries fior cheap...and this leads to crap products which lead to more mess...because the masses won't pay the prices needed for any'people's company' to function profitably....and this leads to point no 4...

Yes, we use computers that work better than the ones we had five years ago because greedy capitalists paid for more improvements to improve their profits.

That's why by the 1970's capitalist countries were far ahead of the communist countries...to a point where many communist countries could not catch up.

At the end of the day, your ideas can never work because, unfortunately....people are greedy, and people love to be paid. If we built a masses company to build cars....you think the masses would be willing to pay N10 million for a car like the RAV 4 from that factory...no they will insist on paying N100000, for a people's car, and the company would end up making crap cars, for the masses, or lose so much money that it would close down, then we can blame the 'imperialists'.

How come it worked in China, how come it worked in Europe and America of old.

There industrialization process was powered by the masses. Most of their innovations were made by one man, inside his garage or house.

If practiced well it will work. The masses industrialised the world. The capitalist corrupted the system with their big money.


The masses must be giving an opportunity to participate in industrialization process in Nigeria.

The truth is that the long term benefits of this naira redesign and cashless policy are enormous. It will reduce kidnapping, corruption, robbery and the volatility of exchange rates. Above all, it will significantly reduce vote buying not just in 2023 but going forward. Meaning that we stand a better chance of having good leaders.

If you are close to politicians, you would have noticed that it is already hitting them very very hard. The idea that the politicians will always be able to lay their hands on as much new notes as they want is a fallacy. Dem no get cash again. And it will get worse for them in as the election approaches.

However, I blame Meffy for the hardship the common man is facing. They should have printed loads of fifty naira notes and filled bank vaults with them. That would have greatly eased the cash crunch, without creating an opening for corrupt politicians to exercise their enterprise due to the quantity of 50s they would require for execution.

Be that as it may, if the Supreme Court is unable to stop the implementation (I earnestly pray so), Nigerians should hang in there for the next 3 weeks to a month when the elections must have been over, then cash would be more available.

As per the bandits, they may have sources in the bank who changed some notes for them. But that's where it ends. The setback they would have is the inability of victims to source the raw cash they need for ransome. With time, kidnapping wouldn't be as lucrative as it was, and many of those guys will start looking for alternative sources of livelihood.
