Am sure most NLanders are not aware that Nigeria makes android phones. I didn't know it until today.
A neighbor has a new Imose Android phone her husband gifted her the previous day. The lady has been struggling to open a new Facebook account unsuccessfully so in a bit to assist her decided check the cost and the android version of the phone.

I was surprised to know that the phone has 16GB ROM, 2GB RAM, 6'' in size.
I now check the cost online on Jumia, I was surprised to see that the phone is N51,000. A phone whose originating country is Nigeria.
I continue checking other phones within the same price range. The following are some of them

1 SAMSUNG GALAXY A03 CORE

2. TECNO Pop 4 BDC1

3 NOKIA C10

4. ITEL À37

5. NOKIA C1

I purposely listed the above phones for a reason. Now who is in his right sense would bring out N51,000 to buy Imose Android phone that has its originating country as Nigeria with such poor quality and leave our the better quality foreign made android phones such as SAMSUNG, TECNO, ITEL, INFINIX, NOKIA etc
Some Nigeria will say its economic sabotage not to patronize your country made good's and services but will one compromise quality?
The same thing happened with rice before 2014 a bag of 50KG Rice was N8000.00 so government said we will stop the importation of rice to grow the economy and a bag of rice today is over N30000. Rice that was produced in Nigeria more expensive than the foreign made.

In fact, we all know European Nobel Prize winners are recognized in Art and Science from different countries and languages. It is one thing to learn the language or mis-education of your oppressors but a different scenario to absorb it against your self-interest or culture as Stockholm syndrome. Victims do identify with their abusers. The benefit of studying at Oxford, Harvard, McGill or Toronto is no greater than learning different languages to communicate, negotiate and share ideas. Using the sake of the children to justify the only good education they need abroad are mere bragging rights. They are our wasted efforts since most of them will never benefit our culture, country or continent. Children trained abroad have more personal family problems in their local environment to deal with than African problems. Mark this, the further their birth ties to Africa, the less financial remittances they are going to send back to Africa. Indeed, you deprive local children of foreign income by depleting Central Bank reserves in your children's favor while their poor co-students work to pay their own fees.

You are converting the hard earned money from poor African students to poor families our governments refused to take care of or ignored, back. These patrons of foreign colleges and hospitals generate income to run universities and hospitals abroad; neglecting our best universities in Africa. They are indifferent to Makerere in Uganda, Fourier Bay College in Sierra Leone, University of Cape Town Ghana, University of Ibadan (where foreign dignitaries used to come for treatment), University of Nigeria Nsukka, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and many others begging for maintenance funds to be up to par with those established with abroad.

Nigerian singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi, has become a sponsor in the Ghana’s Premier League with a $6million Investment.

The star who is an acute businessman has through his online gaming platform ‘BetPawa’ Invested $6milion to become a major sponsor of Ghana’s Premier League.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) announced this on their Instagram page as well as at a formal signing event in Accra, ahead of the 2022–23 season’s start on September 2. According to reports, the three-year contract will cost $6 million.

The partnership will concentrate on “appropriately marketing and positioning the elite league to become one of the most successful and attractive on the continent,” according to the GFA.
