US doesn't export tech pros anywhere.

You cannot pay them.

Instead, the rest of the world is coming to the United States to earn greener pastures.
Are u sure?

The USA exports talent globally.

If Naija want a pro USA dev, for huge bucks, won't he come?

Hahaha.

Virtually all companies in Nigeria would have suffered decreased revenues if their Revenues are translated to Dollars.

Why do I say dollars? Because of an international Partner decides to do business, that's usually one primary consideration.

The idea that one can do well against the backdrop of a failing economy is laudable but not sustainable. Your country casts a huge backdrop over ones success.

An export focused shoe company in Italy can start on the same day with another export focused Nigerian shoe company — both with the same capital BUT the Italian is already ahead (reputationally) because of the backdrop Italy creates globally as a fashion haven.

The same negative backdrop can be adduced to the Nigerian Project.
What do u think is the reason?

When I was looking for my first dev job, I used to check how the job market in other African countries were and honestly aside South Africa, Nigeria has the highest number of vacancies out there. A lot of jobs we look down on here in Nigeria you won't even see to do in these countries. Africa is doomed. I knew this 2 years ago when I was job hunting. A whole African country will have only 80 jobs. A village in Canada will have 10000 new jobs lol.
No dey talk, this kind talk.

Japa and leave us alone.

You're yet to mention why the problem is an African thing,
Why is private school a scam, so you prefer your kid attending a school bare seating on the floor in a classroom without chairs and furnitures, not to talk about how cultism has spread in those schools.
Your opinion seems achiac man
Can't the narrative be changed?

Same puplic schools has produced lots of great guys. Why can't they contribute to the development of their alama mata?

U see our African mentality.

Cultism is an African problem, it will pass away ones we mordenise or become civilized.

You all keep pretending like e no concern me.
The government has a far reaching influence on you. You can make 3million per month if the country's economy is mismanaged your 3m will be with nothing despite how big it sounds
When 1 dollar is 650 why won't people move abroad?
Guy I support the japa movement. 100%.

It's still leadership sir. People don't lead themselves. Masses don't make decisive policies.

As at today, how many African leaders can you beat your chest about apart from Rwandan and Kenyan presidents?!!
No be political leadership dey change country, na inventors, great thinkers and achiever's.

Mack zuck for eg has created more impact in the world than 98% of all the politicians combined.

African nation's are behind, cos we lack innovators, creative thinkers and great achiever's.

Polictians contribute less to national dev. It's just a cermonial position, a reason they refer to their polictical platforms as political parties. Na for party, party, enjoyment and fun.

Nice to meet u.

Mordenizing bla bla, oga the root of Nigerians problems are caused by their leaders, corruption, mismanagement of public fund led us to this situation. Compared to other foreign countries why didn't our leaders manage the situation to be like theirs where there's enough job for whoever is ready to work.

You mean at this age one should enrol their kids to public schools, seems you're not based here.
Leadership is not the real cause of the problem. It's deeper that that. Look around Africa, no African country is progressing. It's an African problem not a leadership or political problem.

What's wrong with puplic shools? In the dev world only the very rich send their kids to private schools, but in Nigeria it's diff.

Private sch na scam.

The United States doesn't export, rather she imports. Most people across the world aim to work in the US tech industry due to the lucrative salaries, the highest globally when the roles and breadth of specialty are factored in.

Again, the issue isn't training people to replace them. The issue is that these people leave after saving and garnering a year or two of work experience.
Think again.

They work out side their shores, na normally thing. Them dey Naija sef.

USA exports tech talents to where. When everyone wants to work in the USA and the USA doesn't even have enough talent to meet demand that they hire millions of offshore overseas workers.

Let's even assume the USA exports talents can a Nigerian firm afford a junior USA developer. Junior o I don't even Wanna call senior cause I have worked with American senior devs and I know that they can do
USA and co export tech to Naija, Saudi, UAE, Quater, Isreal, Asia, globally for bigga pay.

U know how many USA and Co firms our govt dey employ?

If Dev are living Naija, then it's a good dev.

Na so d work suppose be.

They'd still leave. Did you read the article? The issue isn't paying them more, but them using the increased amount to japa. So, basically, you're paying these people to leave not stay as intended. Should Agbado win next year, Nigerian companies should be very prepared o cos there will be a massive exodus! Mr 50M yoots has kuku said "he'd continue from where Buhari stopped", and judging from how Buhari has performed, you know what that means. grin

It's obvious the man has nothing to offer and due to his greediness he won't step back, if care is not taken he won't be defeated unless great strategy and joint forces are been involved.

There's no hope for the poor man, my niece school fee just passed 60k, that's the average school standard in my area, if you don't want your child to return home from school speaking curse words, been that her mum is a single mum whose her legal husband ran away cause of responsibility. This always make me wonder what will be the situation if the kids are up to three.
The country is doomed already.
We most come in terms with reality. Mordenizatiin has its own consequences. Things will become very expensive.

No govt can stop that.

What is happening in Nigeria has regards the cost of living is almost natural.

Why are we sending our kids to private schools, when we can make the govt schools work and pay less.

The average Nigarian is the architect of his problems. List I forget, we all prefer forign goods to ours.

I doubt you know what Talent is in tech.

You probably have to meet a skilled developer to understand what god-like skill is and why these companies go through all the effort to come pick them here in Nigeria and pay them mad sums

Its like saying we're losing our Consultants, but "we still have more intelligent med students"

"The banks are not serious"? cheesy Nigerians make me laugh.... We've become overly optimistic for our own good
Do you know how many tech guys the USA and co export globally?

We too dey complain about everything for this country.

Lol.. have you been to the travel section?

Devs right now are Nigeria's most valuable HR export add an experience in fintech with a major bank and you'll understand that the article is very authentic

Amazon will be here next week to interview more devs, and more companies will follow.

Even on twitter the other day, there was a joke about throwing a stone in Hull University and it would be sure to hit a Nigerian ex-bank staff and many said it was true
We still have more talents.

The banks are not serious.

The fact remains that in life, after God, it's government.
The government of a country greatly determines how a country is/will be.
How a country is determines how comfortably we worship, we start business, we do business, we travel and have leisure, even the confidence to invest.

In Myanmar, the Rohinginya Muslims don't worship easily, in China, the Buddhists of Tibet don't worship easily.

In Nigeria can't easily start a business without one illegal payment or the other.

'The price for democracy is eternal vigilance "
Stop blaming the govt, in dis same govt many have made it.

I wated to scrap football tables from betradar website to excel but couldn't because there are many tables on a single webpage but has different tabpane to go to others table. E.g we have home, away, 1st half, 2nd half, full table etc on the same webpage but those examples has their own tab within the webpage. They don't have link also. So i couldn't get the other tables on excel.
Check paid/free API services for football. If you Sabi code you can write the API to Excell. Or look for online API converters. Like convert API to Excell.

Scrapping na long tin and less effecient.

Benin-Auchi Federal Highway, a major link btw SS and the North, Year in Year out, the road remains the same.

The same politicians spend billions on election every 4 years.

An unemployed daughter of one of the presidential candidates bought houses in US for over 5 million dollars...

This is the only road someone in the South can get to Abuja.
Whats the name of the politician daughter? @ bought houses for 5 mill usd
