Still, if I am to remember correctly, it wss Made in Taiwan as far back as the 70s. And they were so crap that Made in Aba beat them often so no one wanted their crap, but today Taiwan fries the chips.

If only Made in Aba had not died, is a case of what could have been.

This is the kind of investments Nigerian govts should fund. Development is no longer about roads, bridges and schools.

Some smart guys imported these goods into Nigeria.

The reason is simple, cheap goods from China. Cheap goods from China crashed manufacturing across the globe. Some people have been blaming the dead beat govt, but the honest truth is our importers flooded the market with cheap Chinese good.

These cheap Chinese good have helped many Nigerian buy certain commodities that were big deals back them.

Its obvious made in Nigeria goods are too expensive for Nigerian, so what ever product we are manufacturing in Nigeria should have the Nigerian price "Cheap" attached to it.

We have to make sure we are not over charging our people in the Name of manufacturing.

The Buckles can be manufactured in Nigeria, their are many iron fabrication companies in Nigeria. Nigerian foundry is one of them.

The leather is 100% available in Nigeria. We have lots of them in Nigeria.

Why are we not manufacturing belts in Nigeria?

May be the iron head is the main obstacle. If the iron heads are made in Nigeria, it will make it very easy.
