thebosstrevor1: But how come home grown agricultural products are expensive .
See people in this country are greedy.
If dollars rises, they increase the price of goods even though they are home grown.
These will also happen when lot of people enter manufacturing. But i get your point, if we remove greed, it wiill work Exactly. The Nigerian greed is at work. But all this will come to an end if lots of independent guys go into these sectors. Some one is just cashing out while others are suffering. We cant live in a society were women have to sell their bodies before they achieve little. Things must change. Else the future will be filled with darkness for our generation. |

If many Nigerian go into manufacturing, the prices of made in Nigeria goods will crash and life will be easy for every body.
Its a simple thing.
The Nigerian manufacturing sector is in the hands of a few and it not good. Check the price of made in Nigeria plastics and check the price of the same plastic in INdia and China. The price of plastic is cheaper in China and IndiA. THESE COUNTRIES import all the raw materials from us.
Nigerian manufactures are fleecing the masses becos of monopoly. |

Life is game.
You program the human mind with information. Very easy.
If some smart guys observe you are toasting a babe they like and you have more potentials than them, they know you will get the babe and shame will be on them. The smart guys will program you with info that will make you develop hatred of disintrest for that babe, or make you you feel like a losser.
They will say things like " That girl is a bad girl, she be 'A'. She dey Bleep anything, she no go gree for you. How this girl go date a mumu guy like you, etc. They will discourage you with info and you will abandon that babe.
Same strategy is applied in business, they will tell you Nigeria is a failure, yet they are build billion dollar refineries and plants, building various estates, etc. They will tell us Buhari is a bad man, but they wont tell us how he has signed contracts for them.
My people make we think am small.
Is Nigeria really bad as we think? |

Standing5: Maybe you are looking at Dangote to make these assumptions. If I have the connections and advantages of Dangote, cool, otherwise it is just the usual dummy talk of a greener pasture. People gave Dangote all those connections becos they say some thing special in him. Nigeria is currently producing more cement than it can consume. There are lots of cement guys now. Its not has bad has they are painting @ Dangote. |
Politics › Re: The Prices Of Nigerian Made Goods Will Crash by LikeAking(op): 7:43pm On Jun 29, 2021 |
Standing5: it is one thing to have raw material and another thing to have it at competitive market price. Saudi Arabia get crude out of the ground at around $10 while we get ours out at almost twice that price. If you aim was to refine crude for Nigerian market, where will you favour for raw material? Saudi Arabia of course! This is wat the manipulators have told us. Lets start investigating these claims. Months ago a CEO said Nigeria have the lowest cost of manufacturing cement in the world. Things are not as bad as you think. Wat about non crude oil raw materials scattered every where in Nigeria? Nigeria is powerful than we think. They have subdued us with the ugly Nigerian naratives. |

Your incorruptibly unintelligent leader has blocked the land borders making imports and exports difficult among regional trade partners.
Raw materials and chemicals cannot get in. Power sector is in shambles. Youth unemployment at an ATH
But your scrotal sac is thinking prices will crash I will advise you to stay positive. All of those problems you mentioned are just great opportunities. Look am well. We have all the materials and chemicals etc. We need to maufacture in Nigeria/Africa. The people we impoert this stuffs from buy the raw materials from us, process them and sell to us at exorbitant prices. If me and you cool down, reason and plan. We will do big things. But first we must abandon the negative Nigerian narrative. The evil ones used the ugly Nigerian narrative to chain us with poverty. |

Guy check am well, we have all the raw materials we need here in Nigeria. We have been lied too all this while. What we need is knowledge and will power to process them. Please investigate my claims. |
Politics › The Prices Of Nigerian Made Goods Will Crash by LikeAking(op): 4:55pm On Jun 29, 2021 |
The reason is 100% simple. Only very few people are into manufacturing. The Nigerian manufacturing narrative will change when lots of people get into the manufacturing industry.
If we want an active manufacturing industry in NIGERIA, Many people must be part of the manufacturing process. Manufacturing is a game for a few in Nigeria. So their impact is not felt in Nigeria as we are expecting. The manufacturing companies stick to food processing and construction materials and they are doing brilliantly in those fields. We all know they are fleecing the Nigerian masses with very high prices, but we just have to appreciate their efforts.
The prices of Nigerian made goods will crash they day many Nigerian go into the manufacturing sector.
Nigeria can manufacture. |

Earthstorms: Nigeria stopped taking manufacturing serious about 40years ago in the early 80s. If you want to wait for when Nigeria will take manufacturing serious then you might never start.
The government is more concern about collecting oil and gas money, if that is not enough, they will find a way to tax the people more, if that is not enough they will collect hugh loans for future generations to pay.
Building manufacturing capacity is not their concern for now or in the near future. True. We can still awaken the manufacturing consciousness in our generation. A few men can create a very big change. |

PeaceJoyLove: Building a business is still the same. I created a thread about it, and I am still discussing this issue. But programmers have started attacking me. Lol. Anyway, the truth is bitter. They are programmers and only good for coding. They dont have business sense so they fail. And they will always fail. It is why they will keep working for people with business brains. The requirements are:
1. Innovation Intuitive ability 2. Able to raise capital (tell your story to attract investors). 3a. Use Capital Wisely. Give a programmer capital, he will even waste it. Give him 1 billion naira, he will develop a sophisticated app that no one will ever use. Lol. And he will waste money on promoting what people do not need. 3b. Drive home income. Your sales must be more than your expenses. Programmers can't sell. They dont know how to market. And to sell, what the customers need must be made. Programmers just build what they think customers need, and no one patronizes them. Coding is not needed to know what is going to sell. You need a business brain.
At most, programmers will grow to become Chief Technology Oficer (CTO), and if smart, can become a cofounder. But these ones in Nigeria think they have the business brain too. Lol. Las Las...they will end up in Fiverr for the rest of their lives. If lucky, they will get into one of the good companies and work in the design department. May 0.5% of them will actually build a good business. They are meant to work for someone with business intuitive brain.
But they can learn the skill if they are humble and build businesses. This is what I am presently discussing in my thread.
If you know a failed programmer, or a struggling one, just send me his previous work, and I will show you why he is not making it. They always do what has been done. They aren't innovative. Someone needs to tell them what to do and write. They are like learners who must be guided. They are masters who cannot be left alone. This is the way Steve Jobs guided and led his main guy - Woz. Woz is good, but wouldn't be great if not for Steve Jobs.
Let these people get it into their brains that they must start learning business intuitive skills if they want to build their own businesses. But no, they will always bury their heads in the corner of their room talking to their computers alone Na that person go build a business? Business is relating with people.
Lastly, they have terrible attitudes in Nigeria. When you work with them, you will know. They want to work only for big companies but the opportunities in those companies cannot go round them all. The rest who do not work in these big companies are bittered. They will charge small companies like charging already established companies (what they cannot even pay themselves), and at the end still do rubbish. You will start running after them to correct errors after they have been paid. They dont honor contracts at all. See eh! They have terrible attitude.
They will be alright. No one is taking them serious again. Business guys are looking at partnering with indians online. This is the way forward. But I just want to put my ideas on NL to help new guys so they dont take the attributes of these ones who have failed. I am going to have no mercy on them with my thread..I will say the truth as it is. He who has hear should ear. As far as I am concerned, it will take the grace of God for me to partner with anyone one of them cos their attitude is terrible.
If you think I am exagerating or too hard , try 20 of them. You will meet same attitude. But just port to using indians, and you will see what I am saying. Forget oooo. They will never make it unless they change.
Goodluck! E no easy for we Nigerians. At all. Setting up a succesful busines is very deep. Village people will not allow you. Thats the problem most people face. Secondly the Nigerian attitude thing is another problem. Every thing na attitude. |

Earthstorms: If you can manufacture, why not target the things that are being imported and manufacture such things?
Then look for the importers to patronize you.
You can even partner with a foreign company and manufacture for them and let them sell it to Nigerians after importing it from you. Very nice info. The manufacturing journey is not a one man journey. Its a national journey. Nigerian manufacturing is down, co only few are manufacturing. We want manufacturing to go main stream. The manufacturing consciousness. We will manufacture once many Nigerians are ready. |

This simple products can be manufactured in Nigeria. We have all the raw materials but the countries we are importing from that have the raw materials. They buy the raw materials from us, then send us the finished products at exorbitant prices.
We can manufacture this product in Nigeria, if the plastic fabrication companies in Nigeria understand and corporate with the Nigerian citizens.
If the plastic fabrication companies realize the new era has arrived. An era where Nigerian companies will not only manufacture their own products, but also the products of various companies. This companies can handle the manufacturing of the math sets unbehalf of their clients. The manufacturing countries use a similar system, and its very effective. Nigerian manufactures have not developed this system for now.
One company can manufacture for many companies, but in Nigeria its all man for himself.
Thanks for reading.
