Don't let anyone mislead you in the name of religion or worship. Save your soul. Make the move. Find the True GOD. He is looking at your heart and waiting for you to really recognize Him. He has stretched His hand waiting for you to recognize Him.
There are some ministers today who also give you images to worship, either in the church premises or in the church, they're making you worship idol openly in disguise. Don't follow them. It is written already that these kind of pastors and prophets will come, but JESUS CHRIST had warned that don't let them deceive you.
You're not to worship any image whatsoever. Be it of your pastor or any paintings made and called the image of JESUS CHRIST, which is not true because the JESUS CHRIST you're to worship is in Heaven. Not in any image nor anymore on any cross or stake whatsoever.
Idol worship comes in different ways. Not only when the priest is a shriner. If anyone, just as I said earlier asks you to kneel before anything or any image, or bow to it, kiss it, pray to it or before it, it is idolatry.
Fixing your heart and eyes on images you see and thinking it's JESUS CHRIST or GOD is a satanic tactical method of disguised idolatry. Please, you need to withdraw from it. When you pray to GOD, your 'heart' must be fixed on the Heavenly 'GOD' not to fix your 'eyes' on any 'image' you see or set before you. But rather:

If you want the governor of your state to employ you to work, will you try gaining access to the governor himself or will you go to meet his picture hanging somewhere or his statue standing somewhere and ask the picture or statue for employment? That's how it is. Talk to JESUS CHRIST, not an image or statue said to be of Him.
Do not let anyone deceive you with their doctrines gotten from the devil in lies to make you miss GOD'S own Salvation of your soul given for free through JESUS CHRIST. Use the same energy and devotion to serve JESUS CHRIST, for you cannot serve GOD and Ashtaroth.
