All medical products of this nature are usually controlled. I don't think they will have any issue if they got approval from appropriate authority to import.

It becomes a different ballgame entirely if they are brought into the country through deceit or unscrupulous means.

Let's wait and see.
It's not a medical product...

It's for pumping balloons..

PoliticsRe: Demand For Made-in-nigeria Slippers, Beverages, Noodles Soar In W/africa by LikeAking: 7:52am On Jul 14, 2023
astana1:
Demand for made-in-Nigeria slippers, beverages and noodles soar in countries in the West African sub-region despite the low trade volume witnessed across the Seme-Krake border in Lagos.

Daily Trust investigation at the Seme-Krake border revealed that locally made slippers are now in high demand in countries like Benin Republic, Togo and Burkina.

This rise in the export of locally made goods is despite the low trade volume recorded by the Seme Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service.

Speaking with our correspondent, the Controller of the command, Dera Nnadi, noted that while the demand for foreign made items like slippers by Nigerians was on the increase, neighbouring countries were demanding similar products made in Nigeria.

He said the items that were on high demand on the export list in the sub region included slippers and beverages produced by companies in Nigeria.

He explained that, “Slippers is a very unique product; there are some slippers we manufacture here in Nigeria that are in high demand in West African countries. Similarly, there also some that are also manufactured in other countries in the sub-region that are on high demand in Nigeria

“It is a very funny game actually. I saw a document on the export of slippers. We have the one made in Nigeria which the people there like, and they also have the ones which our people like. But those ones don’t pay duty. Items produced in any ECOWAS nation don’t pay duty.

“For agro produce, we have zobo, we have hibiscus and others.”

The command’s revenue target for the year 2023 stands at N1.96 billion. However, despite the low trade volume, the command has been able to realise about N1.25 billion as duty in the first half of the year.

And an ignorant man will say Nigeria doesn't manufacture anything....

They only thing we don't manufacture here a re tech things, cars and some machines..

You guys just settle down and support trash. What are we producing, and what's the cost of living in Nigeria. We are largely an import dependent nation so this logic doesn't hold water.
You are wrong...

Yes we rely on imports, but is not a that bad..

We import even less compared to our population..

What we import most are mostly cars, raw materials & and tech stuffs, check around you... It's normal in most countries..

Some countries like dubia important everything, even sand... Going by your narrative they should have been broke like Nigeria..

The major problem is looting of government funds, them just they use imports cover am up..

Nigeria they even try for manufacturing..

We produce almost everything here...

There is no point having a strong currency when you are not producing for exports. Nigeria is taking over their markets with cheaper goods than the ones they import from France. The worst hit will be our immediate neighbor's
Guys, Nigeria they export even more than some big Arab countries you value and respect.

The problem is corruption, not exports, secondly their is nothing good about it.

The benefits you are talking about is just a decietful narrative... Devaluation of the nairahave never favored Nigeria.. Hence Nigeria would have been great, alongside Zimbabwe...

Additionally, Covenant University has risen up the ranks to be one of the country’s most preferred universities. This was a university that many ignorant Nigerians lampooned for producing too many “half baked” first class graduates. The humdrum and stoopid axiom of a first class from CU is equivalent to a 2.1 from UNILAG or OAU or let the first class from CU come to my university to repeat the feat, make I see how e go dey possible” was peddled recklessly. I mentioned here that Covenant University will be Nigeria’s Harvard where even diasporans will send their children to study as a way to understand Nigeria better. Although, the charismatic man behind it - Bishop Oyedepo - can be brash at times, but you see this Covenant University’s project of his? He deserves the accolades.

In 2017:

All secondary schools are equal, but some are more equal than others. Jephthah Schools, Ambassadors College, Loyola Jesuit, Graceland International Schools and the numerous Catholic-managed schools are good breeding grounds for academic excellence. I do understand that students from the likes of British International College, Grange Schools or the elite of elite secondary schools in Nigeria rarely write JAMB, but focus on SAT and IGSCE. However, I admire the earlier aforementioned schools for their academic excellence and moral upbringing. Ambassadors College and Loyola Jesuit tend to dominate WASSCE rankings, but that will require separate research on its own. For Ndi diasporans, I dare say Loyola Jesuit College is a better option than public and private schools in the US, Canada or UK or even Germany. The children get the academic knowledge, and moral upbringing (a boy is a boy and not the other way round) and they get to be amongst people who look like them during their nascent years. Generally, schools managed by the Catholic Church tend to be very good. This is a global phenomenon. Kudos to the Catholic Church.

The United States attracts the world’s best and brightest. No wonder she is the world’s greatest country. China, which I admire, tries but cannot try enough. The singular act of being able to get the best and brightest from all countries to study at your universities and participate in your economy is a bragging right and makes the US a superpower. The route to eventual naturalisation is tough though and it is a lottery system (https://www.nairaland.com/7535720/nigerian-students-now-americans-how). Marriage is the surest path because, without it, you fit sabi book yet find yourself kicked out because you don’t have the right visa or passports (some passports are more equal than others in accessing the US labour market). For a Black African and I dare say Black person anywhere, the US is the best place to thrive and succeed financially. No wonder African Americans are the richest set of black people globally.

In 2017, there were conflicting reports about the highest scorers with Ariori Ibrahim Olabode coming top with 375, Iworiso Blessing coming behind with 316 and Felix-Ngige Chukwuebuka being the third at 315. Unfortunately, I could not find anything about them. Also, I am sceptical of the scores considering the gap between the first and second scorers. When compared to other years, the chasm is too wide. That said, the score by Ariori Ibrahim Olabode was shown to be false: https://www.nairaland.com/3820763/meet-16-year-old-boy

Wages can only be what the economy can offer , you can't expect a country with GDP per K of less that 2000 to pay wages where the GDP per Capita is over 70k
And that economy is sending their kids to the most expensive schools in the world and they pay their maids 25k per month..

Leave all those GDP things..

Zcash (ZEC) is a privacy coin for making anonymous payments. Like Monero, its tokens are fungible—each one is identical, and not tied to its transaction history—and it uses cryptography to obfuscate users’ identities. It differs in a few key aspects; namely in that it’s capable of conducting public transactions in addition to private ones, thus sparing it some of the regulatory scrutiny that Monero has encountered. Launched in October 2016.

Americans are happy and successful because they charge very well for their services..

Third world country charge pooorly for their services and raw material...

Let's learn form them..

If American Carpenters were charging like Nigerian Carpenters, they would have been very poor.

Oya Carpenters charge very well, it's not by force to buy forniture or build house..

Abi you go die inside poverty, despite your hard work?
