First thing first folks, if you’re afraid of heights or water bodies; this isn’t your gig. Welcome to London where a new pool will combine these two phobias after it gets suspended ten floors high between two apartment blocks that are slated to be built on the Battersea Power Station development site. It is being touted as ‘sky pool’ and the world’s first of its kinds by its developers. The pool is slated to be 90 feet in length and 19 feet wide with a depth of 10 feet. The water depth will be about 4 feet and it will feature an 8” thick bottom that will be transparent and will allow the swimmers to take a look at the streets about 35 meters below them. Ballymore’s Chairman and CEO Sean Mulryan said, “My vision for the sky pool stemmed from a desire to push the boundaries in the capability of construction and engineering. I wanted to do something that had never been done before.” The pool will be completed in 2018 if all goes according to plan and will be only available to the residents of the Embassy Gardens. For your information, the cheapest flat available there, once they go on sale in September, will cost you £602,000. So, yeah. You might want to stick to the regular swimming pool!

Transparent ball point pens and swimming pools are something that we have known about but a transparent plane? That’s like taking things too far, right? The aircraft will also feature pop-up games and shall feature many new technologies in flight entertainment. The plane is slated to be environment-friendly since it’s structure will be made from plant materials. This bionic structure of the aircraft will render it light-weight and thus cost effective when it comes to fuel consumption. The membranes will be able to come translucent or transparent on the touch of a button and based upon user’s preference. The Airbus will basically be a virtual chameleon for everyone who wants to travel in style!
