Not quite. Those guys were NDA cadets, and would just be receiving monthly allowances from the Defense headquarters. However, they spend just 5 years in the NDA, and on graduation, they become sub-lieutenants.

I don't know how people feel comfortable driving with low/empty tank. Asides the plenty negative effects it has on the car _ I just can't turn myself to a mathematician. Calculating how may miles it would go, at the sight of traffic, you'll be uneasy, worse case scenario _you start jogging to the nearest filling station with one dirty gallon.

Men are very guilty of this. If you complain, they'll be claiming the fuel can go to Accra and back.

My dad's mechanic can do this one for life. Whenever he comes around to do some work and my dad just pops into his car,he immediately observes the fuel guage. Then he went like 'Uwem....dis ur fuel don go down finish ooh.' Oga Uwem will just respond,by telling him of how if he would just add little to it and the car would take him to Lagos,a distance of about 370km from where we lived at Sapele in Delta State.
