This Snake entered my house & I never
knew about it until that fateful tuesday 8th
March at about 5:54am. I was observing my
quiet time when I felt something moved around
my left leg & I shook it off. It came back again & I
did the same & it happened for about 4 times
then the fourth time the snake held my leg very
well.
It was this this fourth time that I felt the object
very well & sensed it was very chilled (cold) then
shook my leg with extra- ordinary force, the
SNAKE fell off. I put on my touch light lo & behold
it was ''A very big black snake'' WOW!! What
would have happened if the snake bit me? I bless
GOD for LOCKING the mouth of this Snake from
biting me.

1. Korean pilots rank among the best-
trained in the world Lots of what you’ve read about the Asiana crash is wrong, says longtime commercial pilot Patrick Smith at Slate. First, everyone is making too much of the Korean pilot’s relative inexperience flying a Boeing 777. “To me it’s a red herring,” says Smith. “Pilots transition from aircraft type to aircraft type all the time,” and no major-airline pilot takes the control of a new type of jet without a rigorous, often weeks-long training regimen, including “classroom training as well as hands-on instruction in both cockpit mock-up trainers and full-motion simulators.” Worse, people are already starting to murmur about Korean airlines’ “checkered past” when it comes to air safety, says Smith: Let’s nip this storyline in the bud. In the 1980s and 1990s, that country’s largest carrier, Korean Air, suffered a spate of fatal accidents, culminating with the crash of Flight 801 in Guam in 1997. The airline was faulted for poor training standards and a rigid, authoritarian cockpit culture…. But Korean aviation is very different today, following a systemic and very expensive overhaul of the nation’s civil aviation system. A 2008 assessment by ICAO, the civil aviation branch of the United Nations, ranked Korea’s aviation safety standards, including its pilot training standards, as nothing less than the highest in the world, beating out more than 100 other countries. |
It hasn’t been a good week for airlines. Or for
airline passengers. A day after Asiana Airlines
Flight 214 crashed at San Francisco International
Airport on Saturday, killing two people and
injuring 180 others, all nine passengers and a pilot
died in remote Soldotna, Alaska, when their air
taxi crashed after takeoff.
And on Monday, a Japan Airlines 777 had to turn
around mid-flight after its crew found a leak in the
system that controls the flaps.
Flying is still among the safest ways to travel,
though: Your chances of dying in a plane crash
are about 11 million to 1. That laudable safety
record is only so much comfort when you’re
boarding an airplane, though, especially after a
high-profile crash. Here are six other tips and
facts that can help make your flight a bit safer —
or at least feel that way:

5 Most Dangerous Vacation
Destination in the World
This list isn’t really all about the ranking. It
simply contains information to let you know
about the places that it’s advisable to avoid. It is
also always good to check US and UK
government websites that regularly publish
travel warnings to find out the latest news
about certain country or place.
1. Afghanistan
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office advise
against all travel to Kabul, Kunduz, Balkh,
Badakhshan, Baghlan, Kandahar, Helmand,
Uruzgan, Nimroz, Zabul and many other cities
of Afghanistan. If you urgently need to visit
Kabul, make sure you’re extremely careful on
Jalalabad, Airport and Darulaman roads. There’s
a very high threat of terrorist attack. There’s
also a high threat of kidnapping. Although
Afghanistan is an incredibly beautiful country,
it’s not safe for traveling.
2. Syria
Well, even though I’m a huge lover of the
Middle East countries, I agree with the US and
UK governments that it’s best to avoid traveling
to Syria right now. While many people don’t
even think of visiting Syria, there are many
those (like me) who love the country and want
to explore its beauty. I pray for Syria as well as
other countries that face armed conflicts and
believe that I’ll have an opportunity to visit one
of its cities.
3. Algeria
Algeria is a fascinating country, albeit there’s a
high threat from terrorism. If you are planning
a trip to this country, check this information
first. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office
advise against all trips to areas within 100 km of
the Tunisia and Libya borders, 100 km of the
Mauritania border, and 450 km of the Niger and
Mali borders, with the exception of
Tamanrasset city and Tindouf town. Check the
website before visiting Algeria.
4. Honduras
When it comes to dangerous vacation
destinations, it’s not only about armed conflicts.
Honduras is one of the most beautiful countries
in Central America. However, this wonderful
country has some health issues and a relatively
high crime rate – it has one of the world’s
highest homicide rates, yet there’s a low threat
from terrorism. Diseases such as malaria and
Dengue fever are among the serious ones.
5. Iraq
There’s a high threat of terrorism and
kidnapping. Carjacking by armed thieves can
occur even during daylight hours. According to
the official site of the Bureau of Consular Affair,
threats and violence against U.S. citizens persist
so it’s best to avoid visiting the country right
now. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office
advise against all trips to Ninewah province,
Anbar province, Salah-Al-Din province,
Tam’mim (Kirkuk) province and Diyala
province, and against all but essential trips to
the rest of Iraq. |
