I just told you that if you were born in Nigeria & your parents were citizens at the time of birth then automatically you become a derivative citizen at birth.

They embassy has no way to know since my parents never filed for a Report of birth abroad of a U.S. Citizen so the interview was strictly F-1.

If they had obtained the report then it would be a different scenario.

I bypassed the Green Card Process. I only filed an N-600 { Certificate of Citizenship} & after that I applied for a Passport since I was born a Derivative U.S. Citizen.

Even though I was born in Nigeria, my Dad was already a U.S. Citizen before I was born so I automatically acquired U.S. Citizenship at birth.
