OP is from an East African country and not Nigeria.
which east African country?

it doesn't really matter anyways. Most people think of a country when they hear Africa. except maybe he is from South Africa.

Hellow,i am a residence of one of the East African countries,i am planning to travell and searching for green pasture in BVI,i find tha there is no intrance visa for tourist who are coming from East Africa, but this is eligible for only one month,
My intention is to remain living to the Island for life,
I just want to get an expiriece from members hire, who have been travelled or are still living to the island.
Is there any shortcut way to get a long time or permanent residence permitt to foreigners in this island?
Your help is of a serious need pleas.
you stand a high chance of being deported. i had a Guyanese man stay with me like 2 months ago (he's a PhD student). he lives and works in BVI and his daughter was born in USVI. you'll need a US/UK visa to visit these British overseas territories as a Nigerian and the rules of obtaining PR in those terrtories are strict. for real. I was in Turks and Caicos in Dec (amazing beaches..lol) and getting a PR there will take you approximately 10years on work permit and 5years married to a BOTC citizen. i am pretty sure the same is obtainable in most of these territories. These Islands are still controlled by the British which makes the people British nationals using a British passport. if you live there, you can become a British national then register for your British citizenship

Another point to note IF you eventually make it there is that these islands are small, opportunities are limited and most people are related so they basically recognize each other. things done there are based on "Padi-Padi" business. it will be tough for an outsider without connection (and most likely without money). However, money there is good though as they use the US dollar except Cayman island with their own currency which is higher in value than the USD

my point is, don't waste your money. Get a US visa, travel to USVI then you can make your 'dream' of living in BVI a reality but opportunities are limited..very limited

btw, which passport do you currently hold? i can advise you appropriately.

Post it please.. now we know the secret to most Chinese and Indian students. Don't get me wrong, some of them and exceptional but we've met some with awful command of English. They however, always have good essays.

i feel more Africans will have higher chances at admissions now that the Chinese students' "mojo' has been exposed. The verification process during admissions might affect some of our people though.

You may have to change fields. Even pure sciences like physics, chemistry have dour career prospects when compared to computer science, engineering, pharmaceuticals, nursing, medicine.
Choosing your field wisely will help a lot.
Not if you're studying Medical Physics (MSc) to advance to Nuclear Medicine(PhD) grin grin

hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!
where did you get this statistics from? LMAO
that is far from the truth. maybe 3-4 percent of the descendants of slaves are from the Ibo tribe. majority are Akans from Ghana. few percentage (around 3-4% are Yoruba

I've been there several times. majority of what you read online are not true. Jamaicans of African origin are predominantly Akans from Ghana

To be on safe side, don't allow your visa to expire. If you are already in India and its like four days to expire, just walk into their immigration office and explain the situation, you might get extension.
@ the guy talking about courier services, do not do trial, just use DHL or UPS. I used ems express during my time and I was disappointed. I later ended up using DHL and ups. It's just an advise though and there are two sides to it (acceptance/rejection).

Lol. same issues i had months back and still having, tho little. Initially when i landed in Toronto, I just believed I was an illiterate after 2 days. Everybody I interacted with never understood me mehnnnnnn, oh girl was I pissed? hell yeah pissed as Bleep! I've improved tremendously now but I sound incredibly better when I go out at night after taking alcohol. Trust me, after a shot of whiskey or henny I dont hear stuffs like "pardon" "excuse me" again all through our conversations but sustaining the same speaking tempo afterwards is another thing. sad. So sad a whole me wey my friend back in Naija dey believe my English die, come dey sound like pry 4 dropout for Obodo Oyibo. Its better now sha than July.
Hahahaha!!!
i actually resigned, got a better job, i worked the two for a while. (the money was good, job wey person no see for naija, see me holding two jobs lol). i quit cos it wasn't allowing me focus on school. was a really good experience.

i think talking after taking alcohol has an effect on me too. i just keep yapping like blah blah blah.
and yeah, my accent is better (i dont mean it was worse before i mean in terms of communicating). not americanish, a bit away for my original naija accent but any time i see my naija people, i go full blown pidgin!!! that feeling ia the bomb men

if you wan catch babe well well tho, speak with the upscale nigerian accent (the lag type) lol

what if it was a consentual sexhuh a 9yr old of this generation cannot be trusted. She collected biscuits and sweets in exchange for sex continuosly for a year and here you are calling it rape undecided If she never enjoyed the experience she would have reported to her parents or teachers undecided This is a case of she using what she has to get what she wants. Even tho i'm not in support of the pedophile, i think you people need to differentiate between rape and consentual sex. You could have said he took advantage of her for a year using biscuits and sweet as bait. sounds better cool

thanks for eye opener.but what if the passenger has all tickets ready? The man that asked the question too is reading and I believe he will follow your advice
Brazil route is a "No no" except your final destination is brazil. You stand a goo chance if you're a frequent flyer and you passport get so many entry an exit stamps. But most people using the brazil na first time flier with only.one exit stamp on their passport, no confirmed accommodation for wia dem dey go, dem no get anybody for the country wia dem dey go, dem dey go vacation, na only 800usd dem get, job for home country no dey verifiable, you sef think am nah. Majority of naija don job brazil in the past on humanitarian ground. Most airline now won't even fly a nigerian via the brazil route. Trust me on that except you show the required visa. No waste your money abeggi.

take the Brazil route
If una like yourself and your money, no try am o.

if na like several months ago, you will have little problem. but some naija people don show brazil and the airlines shege. gets to their country on t transit and decided they're not going anymore. detained for some weeks and seek asylum on humanitarian grounds. Brazil don tear eyes oo, dem go show you. Better go find transit visa or "fogerrit".

Lols thanks for helping me clear that part cause honestly I didn't know how to explain it to him

Seriously I don't know why student in Nigeria a not allowed but on the other hand I think we both know why take for instance in my school some Nigerians that get the visa don't come back they rather forfeit the no of years they have studied and Start all over in the usa , so you now imagine if it were to take place in Nigeria
why would anyone quit school cos they got 6months visa to the US... that is ridiculous.

I will not do it even if i got 5years.. i have known better than i do while in Naija and it is a stupid thing to do.

i love traveling, never knew i will love traveling this much.If i have enough money, i plan to visit Zambia by next year.
