Celebrities / Girls Should Stop Forming Jare! by LillianB: 9:03pm On Feb 13, 2019
Be unique Darling.....

To the girl that thinks "I'm just perfect"

You were born to be real, not to be perfect

Tell her we love her plain!

You know, if it involves fake smiling, I'm out!

I'm trying to mind my business but, I see girls getting themselves uncomfortable just to fit into any damn trend that's up, it's heart breaking though.

Look, stop trying to get everyone's love, get their respect by being "you" I mean, the real you.

You hate beans? Don't be shy when offered beans, say " thanks but I don't eat beans " no one is goanna kill you for saying that. Don't endure a pain that you can avoid.

Don't feel stupid if you don't like what everyone else pretends to love

You love wearing loose clothes? because they make you feel free? Go on dear, wear them (don't mind what the busybodies are goanna say)

You're angry, show it!

Don't try to hide your anger if you can't do away with it instantly ( keep a free heart)

You love going without make up?...ride on, you're chick!

Confidence level: selfie with no filter

You love flat shoes, not always comfortable on heels?...feel free.

If you don't like it stop putting up with it

Start doing things the way you like it, yes! people will point out and say whatever they like about your lifestyle but I mean, you wear the shoe and you know where it's hurting you right?

Do the right things, the right way. You know when the morale comes? That's when you're doing the right thing.

So girl let's be real here.

Webmasters / Re: Do I Need To Use A Foreign Web Host For My Blog? by LillianB: 10:27pm On Feb 07, 2019
I'm speaking from what I know.

Blue host/hostgator is right about the best web host you can go for, though it's costly to bankroll, but I'll always advice people to go for quality(because that's what lasts)

Local web hosts are still okay(yes, they are cheap) but they come with so many limitations which you'll find difficult to manage as your site gains more traffic and attention.

Blue host got you covered because you can have a live chat with them if something goes wrong with your site.

But whichever you're choosing checkup the following features:

loading speed
money back guarantee
technical support
online store /selling tools (you may want to monetize later)
malware/site protection
scalability
and Lot's more.

Choose right, so you won't have problems that'll make you spend excess money on developers in future.
Webmasters / Social Media Marketing: Content Strategy by LillianB: 4:45pm On Feb 07, 2019
Just like they say it

" content is king while context is the god'

In the world of social media marketing, quality content drives more traffic than you can imagine because it gives the user the motivation to take action, either to buy or subscribe, follow or sign up!

Content can be right about anything you write up, but without the right context, its not goanna yield much.

Now, context is the way you present your content, it can be through photos, articles, videos, gifs, quotes etc.

speaking of social media marketing, there are so many social media sites that marketers can utilize to get more traffic, but they all operate at different contexts, take for example.

To market on:

Facebook

Context: short videos, write ups, so when you're making up contents for a Facebook page, add videos, users love watching it live.

Instagram

Context: photos, it may be inspirational write ups or pictures.

YouTube

You can't get a higher traffic without being on YouTube ( depends on your niche though) studies show that users mostly search on YouTube before moving to Google searches.

context: Videos only, no one wants to read on YouTube, we're all there to feed our eyes!

Snapchat

Studies found that, teenagers mostly use Snapchat, so you can take that advantage to reach out to the girls/boys with your products.

context: Videos, they love it live too.

Tumble

mini blogging platform

context: Gifs, quotes and blog content.

And that's all for now, make your contents rich so that ads will work for you. Research keywords and get a powerful title. Now you know the contexts.

Need a consistent content writer for your blog/website?
Do you want to create Brand awareness on social media?

Travel / Tourists: Nigerian Harmattan Explained! by LillianB: 1:28pm On Jan 31, 2019
Harmattan is the news, because now, we're all feeling the weather here in Nigeria, it lasts mostly for 3 months(December, January, February)

I actually had some tourists in mind today, anyways tourist or not I'll tell you what Nigerian harmattan feels like.

Harmattan feels like a combination of hot and cold(a dusty wind/a cold breeze), it is no joke especially in some northern states like Kano, Kaduna, kastina, Jos(where snow falls) and others but here in Anambra(East) it's normal.

The weather is favourable to some Nigerians like me, though it has some Con's, so here's what happens during harmattan:
The cold gets serious
Especially in the morning, coupled with cold breezes, but a thick sweater can get you going. One wonderful thing about this weather is that you'll have a nice sleep under your blanket without feeling hot, you won't even know when the clock hits 8:00 am
Everything is goanna get dried up
Best part of it is that you're goanna wash your clothes and pack them in before 2hrs of hanging, so this period is most suitable for drying food ingredients and everything dry able. The earth really gets dry and hard. Plus, am sorry for your make-up because it just won't do.
You don't smile too much!
Haha, yes! If you go about grinning, your lips are goanna bleed(yes bleed!) Because the dusty wind wants to dry up your lip and when it's dry and you scratch the scale off, you get injured. So just smile gently and lip balm is your good friend. This is not the best time to get a massive wound, trust me.
You get another body lotion
Anything oily and jelly can be your body lotion at these times because the wind dries up most of the creamy lotions we normally use here. We usually use Vaseline for a fresh, glowing skin, any other thing is goanna make your skin look odd.
Bathing?..... Oh the cold!
For some Nigerians bathing in the morning become a problem due to the cold breeze but trust us, that's not a problem at all because hot water bath is a must! Note, the temperature increases in the afternoon and drops in the evening.
Our bodies reacts too
Yes some diseases are known to reign during the harmattan season especially catarrh and conjunctivitis(the pink eye) and it's infectious so watch out! And the other thing is that the skin really gets dry easily so we make up with lots of water and nice food.

And am goanna stop here, but trust me the weather is cool, so we try to enjoy it while it lasts.

Education / What Happens When You Are Always Smiling. by LillianB: 2:33pm On Jan 30, 2019
Well, it doesn't okay.

I always find myself smiling all the time(not really)

So in a business area or at the workplace, should you smile? No, you shouldn't smile like a fool, in the sense, keep it professional.

Even the man that smiles and grins always when things get serious is always gonna be taken for granted, try and balance things.

Sometimes, people take us seriously when we smile less.

Smiling always doesn't show confidence at all, and have you noticed that when we smile always we are taken for granted?

Family / You Must Not Always Be The One To Initiate Contact With Friends! by LillianB: 2:18pm On Jan 30, 2019
If you don't call them first, they won't call you either, if you don't text them first then a conversation never starts, you're always the one to initiate contact, is that what friendship is all about?

I believe you may have been in this situation before or are in it but I want to tell you something, the world is full of nice friends waiting to know you, cheer up!

People don't always care, don't even believe they do, that's why you should learn to be happy with your life and continue meeting new people. I'm not against socializing if it's not tiring though.

But some friends are just so lazy to work out friendships and that may be one reason you're not hearing from them.

Some are just tired of being friends with you, maybe because you're boring(or introverted) in this case look for your match.

Or they may be angry with you, jealous of you or they may be feeling irritated by your action, try to find out what's the cause of the snub.

You know, people only reach out to you if they have you at heart, but in a situation where you feel like it's hard to be friends with someone, what do you do?

Move on with your life

Continue being happy, go out there, do interesting things and find people who will see you as an interesting person.

Find new hobbies

Travel, go for adventures, learn new things, join educative teams, and enjoy your life.

Upgrade

Upgrade your lifestyle, invest in new things, read books, change the way you talk/react, work on your weaknesses.

Don't worry

You'll be just fine on your own, don't rely on anyone for your joy!

And life gets better that way trust me

Phones / Are You Sure You're Not Suffering From Nomophobia? by LillianB: 2:10pm On Jan 30, 2019
That's the fear of not being near your phone for some time, which some of us are unconsciously suffering from.

It's a huge disadvantage of advancement in technology, when someone cannot go for eight hours without checking up his/her mobile phone(sometimes for no reason) then that's becoming an addiction.

And that's mainly due to the advancement in social media sites and the whole Internet.

Because there's this anxiety to pick the phone "how many likes am I getting already!"

So the other time, I went on a social media break, and at the end, I got so many good results, so try getting your phone out of your head.

Try a social media detox!
