Pls, I need some help.
I don't know if it's cataracts or not. I'm 2014, I noticed my eyes wasn't seeing quite clearly as before so I visited an eye doctor, and she gave me glasses. Fast forward to 2016, it seems the glasses wasn't working well again as I wasnt feeling the eyes, I went back and another glasses was given. Pls note, I see clearly near by things, but when am in class, I need sit in the first two seat, else, board will be blur. In 2019 again, the sight was very poor and the glasses seemed useless. I went back for check and discovered the eyes has further deteriorated, and a new pair of glasses was given. Now, am feeling as though the eyes has further deteriorated and it's giving me serious concern. Pls, any help

The glaucoma is said to be deep and as I said earlier; she can't see with the said eye. She didn't complain before now, but the ophthalmologist said it's been there for about a year. We have since been compliant with the prescribed drugs. We have an appointment on 29th of this month.
Just curious if there will be on operation on both eyes for both glaucoma and cataract or only on the other eye that has been infected with only cataract Thanks

I need to know something.
When you look at the mirror and shine torchlight to the mirror, the pupil( middle black hole) appears white. Please is it normal for everybody or it's a cataract?
And is it true teenagers can have cataract?
Also use of phones can cause cataract, because they emit radiation.
Fact: Dial *#07# on your phone. If it is SAR <1.6watt/kg, you are safe but if it's > you are exposing yourself to too much radiation.

Hello sir, this thread is coming at the right time.

About four days ago, I slept and woke up to see the down part of my eyes was swollen(that place females use their eye pencils on) without using anything the slight pain and the swollen had stopped the second day. Then the third day it became swollen than the first Time and up till now.

Please with the description above can you tell me the cause, and what could be used.

Note: I have never had such problems in the past.

Did I forgot to say I once went for an eye check up and the doctor told me the eye was covered with cataracts cause my parent were non challant about it and doesn’t welcome it whenever I tell them I can’t see with the eye

This is so informative...I’m sure the best person that needs this well for me it happened from child birth I think cause from the story my mom told me she happened to sleep sideways or some kinda while pregnant so suddenly when she gave birth she realize one eye is bigger than the other and till date I can’t see vision with the other eye but the bigger one works perfectly is that also a symptoms of cataract and is it cureable..?

I wish cataract and glaucoma have herbal or any natural remedies without surgery.. Lots have it..

Thanks for sharing,but does it mean that it will be mature enough before it's removed surgically? someone close to me it's affected with it, although he's been to the hospital,they optometrist abi optician whichever told him the cataract isn't ripe for surgery instead he would be given glasses which will aid his vision and sight,so is there something we can do pending when it's time for the surgery, thanks.

Boss... Someone close to me cried so much... Elder Sha, like 50 upward... Sumtin happened and she never stopped crying... Till the thing affected her eyes..



She has been on it for years now but now seems it's getting worse..

So, she met sumone dt has same issue too and they directed her to a place Sha....


Boss, cud too much tears cause eye problem?

God bless you OP. Timely and educative. My mum couldn't see with one of her eyes and she was diagnosed of glaucoma. The ophthalmologist said it's due to cataract and further tests showed that cataract has spread to the other eye though she can see clearly with that. She's diabetic and above 60.
The doctor prescribed some drugs, eye drops and said we should come back end of this month for further test and possible prep for surgery.
We went to Babcock teaching hospital where someone recommended that has one of the best facilities in Lagos and Ogun state.
1. Will she be operated to treat the glaucoma and remove the cataract from the other eye?
*I went through the thread and you mentioned something like optic/artificial lens.
2. Will that be used for my mum if the glaucoma can not be treated?

Ask to know which doctor they went to and get the truth from doc.... if she is really pregnant then it's obvious your hubby did it. EOD!
