God and networking! You have to find a way to dip yourself into the field. Let me tell you how I achieved mine with God's grace! I'm not there yet but I'm confident I'm on the right path towards what I've always wanted.

Now on to wait I did....
I got interested in the field during my mini contract as an Instrument Technician @NLNG Bonny Island immediately after my NYSC. After the contract, I returned to Ib for my MSC in Environmental and Public Health. I headed straight to ISPON after my project defence. I registered as a member at ISPON.

Joined a lot of safety groups on WhatsApp, I made LinkedIn.com my second home; and I made sure I visited ISPON secretariat at least once a week to make sure they don't forget me. While I wait, I mastered my Structural design and detailing which did fetch me a lot of cash as I draw for people; I am a Civil Engineer by the way, but I really do like *HSE*. I told my self construction safety is your final bus-stop.

Eventually, I got an entry-level job with NBC by God's grace through ISPON President Oyo state branch. What I'm really happy about is that, my Safety Manager is very good. He enjoys teaching and will cover you if you want to go for any training or certification.
So, God help you bro. I wish you all the best. Just don't give up.
Thank God I stumbled upon this contribution..
I'm a serving corps member
I plan on undergoing my HSE level 2&3 training at ISPON secretariat in Port Harcourt coz of its proximity to Imo State..
So I placed a call across to the number I saw on what seems to be their official website but was told the number doesn't exist...

Now Its making me have a rethinking about every details and information I saw in the website...

How much do you think would be the total cost for HSE 2&3 ...
How much did you pay for the training?
Do you think the price would be reduced coz I'm a Corper?

Pls answer...

Hello guys....

The stigma on students that got their BSc from universities in Benin republic is greatly overwhelming and already taken a distorted perception in the mind of average Nigerians.. A large percentage of Nigerians believe this cert are bought or aren't credible enough..

I schooled and graduated from IRGIB AFRICA UNIVERSITY, COTONOU.. One of the few prestigious universities worth thier salt, but I feel the wrongs and corrupt disposition that few universities here have done with reckless abandon might be a big constraint to me...

I'm currently undergoing my NYSC in Imo state and would love to proceed for my postgraduate studies in Unilag, UNN or UNIPORT. But I want to know how these universities welcome this certs.

Do I have an edge or would I be seen differently?
would I be granted admission?
pls I need your advice!

I'm completely in support of the hate speech bill. If the bill was in effect, people like Elrufai, Ango Abudulahi, FFK, Reno, would have been hung by the balls.
A certain Ochereome Nnanna would have been buried 6 fts down below for calling a tribe sophisticated morons. Nnamdi kanu would have become a rotten corpse for his several hate speech & calls for violence against other tribes.
A lot of children of hate would have had their balls split in twos for calling a tribe cows & terrorists.
More importantly, the bill will checkmate religious clerics & further curtail religious tensions especially in the north.
.....and you that just said this rubbish would be far in oblivion

So u don't show proof that you can do well before u goto schools in Canada and the likes, where u told that they don't written proof exams before u go there, you must pass your core subjects before u are admitted in those schools .
What proof exams do they write in Benin tell me o.
With your grammatical incoherence and blunders I believe you graduated from one of those top universities in Nigeria.... that's not my business though

See brother all those universities in the UK, US or Canada aren't programmed stringently to make you fail. Once your money dey your hand you would be offered admission to anyone of your choice....

...I'm not saying there aren't blockheads or dullards in universities in Benin republic but there are still some universities that are worth their salt.. eg IRGIB AFRICA UNIVERSITY,, ask anyone who studied there about the school's standard, their student(s) would come to Nigerian universities and still go head-to-head with first class student(s).....no joke!!

To enter school for naija nah Gold and after you finish no job... lolz,,there isn't pride in that shit

So what does the south east have? At least the north provide most of the food we eat, from tomatoes, onions, pepper to yam, meat, beans and even rice.
All the states in Nigeria are not viable save a few like Lagos, Oyo and the oil producing states. They would fail immediately if allocations stop coming from Abuja.

Most states in the south east generate between N1billion to 2billion IGR monthly but collect N5billion to N7billion from Abuja, and yet they are unable to pay salaries.

Read this to understand the precarious state of things in the south east (and in Nigeria in general) - https://medium.com/@immanueljamesibeanyanwu/2018-state-of-states-in-the-south-east-igr-debt-and-gross-earnings-f2a8bca63aba
Oga the southeast also provides foods like yam, cassava, palm oil, plantain, citrus , even rice too...

.....nd for every billion the south east allocates the north brings a few hundred of thousand.....

Area4Area:
What's the IGR of the entire SE? Are you saying the SE states are not parasites when they can't generate enough for their budgets and have to depend on federal allocation monthly to meet up, the SE states are parasites just as most states in the north.
The north don't have anything that why they cling unto politics with all their might....
Check top 10 states with highest IGR and see for yourself....

Northerners are parasites as you said but when they gave Igbos only a quit notice to leave the north, who went begging them to rescind and were shouting genocide everywhere, the Igbos.

For you to trade with the world, don't you think you need an access to them or maybe you think an exporter in Aba would just blink his eyes and gbam, he finds himself and his goods in Dubai, India etc to go distribute to his customers.
An Onitsha importer would be in China, after purchasing his stuff, he blinks his eyes and he's in main market
Oga the north is a parasite....
What's is thier IGR ?
How much do they bring to the table?
What they know is to collect allocation and milk the resources of the south dry.....
Even with their numerous untapped solid minerals they refuse to grow....
Going about give birth to almajiris they can't cater for.. littering children in the nook and cranny of the country. causing instability, using Bokoharam to play politics......

If they can survive on thier own why didn't they embrace true federalism and restructuring....

Ndi Oshi...!!

Stop giving me fantasy give me proof. Show me links where IMO state and abia became Nigerias leading producer of palm then show me who is stopping IMO state or abia from producing the palm right now plus I want u to give me a break down of world palm oil exports and its market value.

Give me facts not fantasy tell me where Gold was discovered in the east.

You have more literates in the southeast than the whole north combined LoL. Another fantasy

South Africa is bigger than northern Nigeria in land mass.

The reason why Switzerland economy booms is its strategic location plus its a banking hub, Biafra is neither in a strategic location nor a banking hub. Tell me another story.

Lagos state is strategically located plus the boost in development it got as the former capital territory.

U think right now with al the indigenous industries and the Nigerian market anambra state igr is not in top 5 do u think when Biafra comes and the market is gone things will get better or worst?

All your points prove to me that u guys are just fantasizing
Show me where I said Imo and abia states leads in Nigeria palm oil production?

From your reply it shows you aren't intelligent at all...

So shouldn't quote me again. Channel your energy on something else..... leave Biafra and Nigeria alone

PS: I don't support the Biafra idea.. But when you make it look like the igbos would suffer if Nigeria disintegrates, that when my expression comes in...

LoL... Why una hate the truth, once someone says something contrary this your belief or thoughts you get angry.

If u are reasonable debate me to it and prove he wrong.

Southeast land mass is too small for considerable agriculture, compared to other regions.

South eastern oil fields are marginal amongst the 3oil producing regions south east have the lowest reserves.

North has been focusing on oil while solid minerals remain untapped, of regions control there resources north would fall back to its solid minerals.

North still has agricultural land in surplus.

Please tell me the resources you want to control in the resource control?
Do you know Imo and Abia state are amongst the top 10 largest producers of palm oil in Nigeria. As of 1967 before the crude oil boom era palm oil and palm kernel were our major export.. We were number one in the world then...

I don't need to tell you how much money and fortune could be made from this alone.

Imo state, Abia, Anambra has crude oil, Limestone, Gold too....among many others

We have a market for this commodities to thrive...

Anambra state has the highest number of indigenous industries in Nigeria.... Have you also heard of innoson motors.....

Talking about landmass, Lagos state has the least landmass in Nigeria but her IGR is bigger than the whole of the north combine... What of Switzerland, Denmark South Africa, et al. These counties don't have lanmass like the north but can feed the north...

I haven't even talk about Human resources.... We have more literate in the south east than the whole north combined....

Truth be told the NORTH are parasite and holding Nigeria back from moving forward...

I could go on and on

Igbos online have been preaching hate as perpetuated by Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB, even Igbos who disagree with them are not left out from the hate.
You sow hate and you reap hatred. You could dislike someone but you don't go about calling the person all sorts of names even to his hearing, that is pure hatred.
Karma is at play for now though I'm not in support for such
Whatever you call hate by the igbos was first played by the north and the Nigerian government...
The level of marginalization .....
What were you expecting before?
Give them those things that make them yarn for secession and see if the would clamour for it again...

Let restructure this country
Let every region control their resource ..
and see if they would want a different country...
The resistance and jettison of the north in the bid and idea of restructuring is what making the Igbos look at them as PARASITE. As people who can't stand on their own....

Thanks, most of them don't understand what sovereignty and citizenship means.
You just blinded with hate...
I don't dispute the fact that Biafra( provided it comprises of only Igbo extraction) would feel the pain, of course she's a newbie,, but I can assure you 10years later they would be greater than Nigeria ....

You can enact all your vile laws on those of them that would be residing in different part of Nigeria, thier properties, business , et al. Truth is it's would kill your FDI, your sea port in Lagos and PH would shut down, because you would force them to find another partner...

Talking about market size,, the Igbos have it,, ONITSHA, ABA in subsequent years would be bigger than Lagos.....

Fund allocated would be utilize for it sole purpose,, the impact of the budget would be felt everywhere.. Not like Nigeria that would allocate 3.1bn for just presidential voyages...Cost of governance would be drastically reduced unlike Nigeria,, their industries would be highly functional...

Bleep oil....!
UK doesn't have oil but is better than Nigeria..
Do you know IMO AND ABIA STATE also have oil..?
If Nigeria like they should close all her borders, the igbos are extremely productive and resourceful unlike Niger and Benin republic that depend on Nigeria, the Igbos don't ...

....and truth is in that ten years of unprecedented growth Nigeria won't grow because she would still be engulf in ethnic and religious rift,,, the hausa-fulani would still want to continue with thier hegemony which won't continue for long... The south south too would want to secede, every part of the country would be trembling... The fight of which ethnic extraction should be president.....

Guy just forget it .......
If the Igbos should go,
Nigeria won't survive the shock.....
That move would automatically call for secession by other ethnicity........

Mind you I don't support Biafra....
But they are still my brothers/family
Stop talking like Nigeria would overwhelm them if worse come to worse..........
