Politics / An Apology Of A Widower To A Widow by lincy(f): 4:22pm On Nov 29, 2013
Oshiomhole apologises over comments to a widow
on november 29, 2013 at 1:45 pm in news
Benin – Gov. Adams Oshiomhole of Edo on Friday apologised for the comments he made to a widow in Benin during an inspection tour on Mission Road, in the state capital, a fortnight ago.
Oshiomhole said that he now regretted the comments which had become the subject of discourse in the social media.
The Governor, however, noted that he made the comments in anger.
Oshiomhole’s apology was made when the leadership of the Federation of Muslim Women’s Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN), paid him a courtesy visit in Benin.
He noted that though the challenge of modern times had bestowed on the shoulders of some women and single mothers the status of bread winners of their homes, such should not be used as an accuse to flout the laws.
The Governor urged the Muslim women leaders to use their offices to propagate the essence of healthy living among children and women in the nation and the need to maintain proper sanitary conditions in their neighbourhoods.
Oshiomhole lamented that the challenge of widowhood had also exposed children to different temptations, adding that there was the need for society to be careful, to avoid unwittingly creating more problems for the nation.
He noted that money was not the best thing that guaranteed ones happiness, “but honesty and selfless service.
The Governor added that if Muslims and Christians were adequately committed to their religious doctrines, the world would be a better place.
He urged the women to propagate the message of Islam through the nooks and crannies of the nation, and to also inculcate the values of honesty in their followers.
Oshiomhole, however, assured the association of government’s support in ensuring that its present leadership made remarkable progress and also consolidated on the successes of their predecessors.
Earlier, the FOMWAN National President, Hajia Amina Omoti, urged the state government to look into the issue of the teaching of Islamic Religious Studies in public schools in the state.
Omoti also solicited for government’s moral and financial support for the effective running of the association. (NAN) http://www.vanguar

The Nigeria profs. Should go to HELL for all I care afterall they don't lecture the students anymore, they issue course outline and ask students to read up for exams, force students to pick up there text books, force students to go out reseach which on ramdom collection they use the students idears to put up there own" thesis". In this case the students now provide idears to professors, they sexually approach the female students threaten dey of not graduating if they don't giv up to there saxual demands. A lot others , and nothing has been done to this proffessors, they have gain supremacy over our accadimic sector were nobody question there numeriouse act, now they want go beyound there bonds. Nigerian mass should intervain on behalf of these . Afterall we have somany unemployed and young qualify citizens to take up there vacant positions. We should learn how to use the little chance we have. Let me ask a question had it been had it been they all died on there way to were they nomally converge for there evil meetings won't the country move on with the accademic system? The proffessors ar not the country's finest brains dat I know too well. We should encourage our younger bright citizens and let go old brains. Were they not existing wen the nigeria university went into mess.what did they do about it ? Plz the fed govt. Should let go the old woods and think of way forward. Filty old thinks. Smh .
Education / ASUU Should Account For Previouse Allocation Before Asking For More by lincy(f): 3:37pm On Nov 28, 2013
I wonder Y a Boss will ask a subordinate to go back to work and the boss is being quationed, ASSU is bitting more than can chew. The federal govt. Should audit the whole fED university, the should give account of the money that has be allocated to Fed uni. Before now .

We ar named by the white race "people with low IQ"

* ASSU emback on strick lobbing for huge allocation even wen certain amont has being given to them, it went viral that same money that is ment for running of the accademic up keeps was shared among the lecturers and the mass didn't intervain, now they ar asking for more. I ask the so called low IQ profs. The little that hv been offered to them wat do they hav to show for it if not sleep around with the female students and offering fake scores.

I dare the mass to demand from ASSU audit on wat they hav done so far witz the previose allocations on the possetion.
WHO KNOWS IF THE MONEY Won't GO DOWN DRAIN.
They should show blue print of the old allocations awarded to them and the mass will back them up or Go BACK to class room.

Was told teaching is passion, why being monetize in detriment of poor students.

Bishop Magic: DIYA

Originally signed to SRC Records which later transformed to Abacha Records, Diya was only marginally successful with one hit to which he dedicated to his then boss, Abacha. The jam On bended knee feat Adisa was produced by legendary producer al Mustafa and even featured Abacha in the video. The single was not typical of the hardcore rap albums being produced by SRC and Abacha records and Diya and Adisa were the only RnB artiste on the label.
The single later went on to win several awards at the Oputa Awards and also catered away the prestigious Most Emotional Track award.

Diya has since retired from the music business.
