I believe very much that very soon a book shall come out to reveal the truth about Michael Jackson, especially on the non - musical part of his life. But the truth is not really hard to decipher. From my analysis of MJ, I discovered that despite his world acclaimed child-prodigy, he was not accepted as a musical icon in Europe and America until THRILLER came out in 1982! Michael knew this and even as a child, he had always longed to be the best artiste / entertainer in the world. He turned solo in 1974 thus breaking away from the strangleholds of his father and the Berry Gordy's Motown management, but his 2 major solo attempts, BEN (released as a single) and OFF THE WALL (an album of 12 tracks) - though were very successful artistically and commercially - these attempts did not establish MJ as the new king of music. Instead Elvis Priesley was still regarded world wide as the king! The media moguls were whites and they made sure Elvis remained on top, no matter what Michael did! And this trend continued even after Elvis's tragic death in 1977.

Now Michael was a perfectionist who hated being second best & his greatest desire was to prove to the world that a black artiste could also be the best in the world. But can a black artiste truly rule a white-dominated world? He had always wondered why his music idols - James Brown (whom he mimicked significantly) and Diana Ross were never acclaimed as the best despite their immense talents, popularity and success. In the pre THRILLER years (1978 - 1981), he was now with EPIC RECORDS owned by John Branco (a white) and other white management staff. It was at this time that he was told the cold hard truth: that he needed to be white to be fully accepted as the best!

But he could not just change his black skin overnight to white, it needed to be a gradual job. However to match Elvis Priesley's sex symbol image, he did his first ever plastic surgery in 1981 - a nose job. His nose became more acquiline (like the whites) and it worked like magic! The following year, THRILLER was released , and the rest was history!Michael was overwhelmed with the acceptance of his music and videos especially as he now had upturned Elvis sales and billboard records!

But something happened and it was after this that the bleaching (or is it 'vitiligo') business started. Michael's hair caught fire in Pepsi Cola advert in 1983 and he suffered 3rd degree burns affecting his scalp, forehead and shoulders. No one truly knows the extent of the damage as it was kept secret. It was even after his death that footage of the fire disaster was released world wide. However, the fire incident presented itself as an opportunity for more facial plastic surgeries. And to remain on top as the king, he must be white. It was at this time that the idea of vitiligo was sold to the world. Thus he gradually began to tone, then bleach his skin to white while pretending to be suffering from vitiligo. That is the truth:he turned white to be king of pop!!
