frankly speaking Op, there are schools with worse payment systems.
ABSU for instance demands about 50k just for acceptance fee into PG programs.
You can imagine the total amount you'd be required to pay before you get your certificate.
The fact is that the educational system in Nigeria is very deplorable with lack if funding and corruption topping the list.
It's a reflection of the general ills in thr country.
For now, if you can, run your PG program in s university in the country and if you can not, get the hell out of the system and school somewhere else outside the country. when you come back and still meet the status quo, you do your best to effect change.

A hugely disappointed Nigeria U23 coach Samson Siasia has suggested the country may be better represented at the Rio Olympics by the U20s, the Flying Eagles.

The Flying Eagles beat the Olympic team 4-3 in a friendly at the weekend to make it a second win over their senior counterparts.

In the first friendly, the U20s won 2-1.

“We might as well take the Flying Eagles to the Olympics,” lamented a dejected Siasia, who had personally pushed for a rematch so that he could avenge the first loss to the Flying Eagles.

“We have been training and teaching them what to do, but we could not do the simple things tactically.”

He openly admitted his defence is in shambles following the long-term injury of Segun Oduduwa.

“We need help in defence, we have a lot of problems there. Hopefully (Wilfred) Ndidi will be released by his club and he will join us (in USA training camp).”

He said he will push for another test game today before the squad start departing the country on Tuesday and Wednesday.

That was how Fernando Ardi , Chisom Chikatara and Aaron Samuel all limped off d training pitch during preps against Egypt. This limited our attacking options in both encounters.

Recall also that Stanley Amuzie earlier in d campaign got injured from this same Siasia's rigorous training.

The NFF technical committee should better put him on checks now before injuries become the screening factor from the 35man list.

Please, give Akpom benefits of doubt. Who knows if he could turn out to be better than those players you just mentioned.

We can't judge him now until we see him play after 2 - 3 years. Peradventure, we can access his capabilities as a player but before then let us cap him first before it is too late.

-Odion Ighalo

-Brown Ideye

-Isaac Success (yet to be capped)

-Victor Osimhen (we saw him at U-23 level)

-Sadiq Umar (yet to be capped)

-Aminu Umar (some don't even know he is a CF)

-Kelechi Iheanacho (anytime any day a whiz player in the CF or SS or false 9/AMF roles.. beast player).

-Aaron Samuel

-Fanendo Adi (yet to be capped)


So how is Akpom ahead of any of the above listed players?... The NFF should not waste time with Akpom please. Can they just focus more on Odubajo, Dominic Iorfa, Ehizibue, Ebuehi, And even Adarabioyo and Kigbu?

These are defensive options and defence is Nigeria's archilles heel now. We are well stocked for the next 10 yrs plus in attack and more will still rise and keep rising....



Besides, he didn't consider us all this while till now because he knows he got no chance with England in the long run.

Akpom may eventually agree to play for us but he finds himself behind so many of the above listed players talents-wise.

Except we wish to exhaust them before the Olympics, I think Siasia is right! They've played lots of Matches during the Season, and it won't be a bad idea to excuse them from the Invitational Tourney.
When would they be allowed to rest and freshen up for the Olympics?!

Chidera Ezeh is talented but he is not yet in the regular squad list of FC Porto. It will be difficult to drop a regular pro like Simon Moses for Ezeh.

Let the young man battle it out with the U20 team.
