If ships can not pass through the strait then transportation becomes more expensive and supply becomes an issue pushing up the price. Once the price of crude goes up then Nigeria's federal government will gain but consumers of PMS will have to pay more for it. Nigeria will not sell to Dangote or anybody at lower than the international price. They are not even obliged to prioritize Dangote

His first question is a valid one that people without an economics background often ask: if Nigeria has crude oil, then why do Nigerians have to pay the so called international price when something big happens in a far away land?

Nigeria isn't at war with the USA, Israel or Iran. So why do Nigerians have to deal with higher prices because of a foreign war - when the same oil exists under Nigerian soil?

Does this same thing happen to cocoa, palm oil, coal, rubber etc.? Or its just crude oil?

A new road will relief pressure on those old ones and new economic hubs will spring up......an importer than have his container cleared at calabar port or onne and will find it easier to evacuate to lagos or abj because of these kinds of insfrastructure.......lagos to PH to and fro can be done in a day......imagine how much of a boost this will be to the economy.....I am into logistics and we have alot of activities around the lekki axis,we now have quicker,less costly and easier turn around times for delivery because of this new road......imagine the multiplier effect across board......with this road,you can actually be working on ondo state and be commuting from lagos to and fro daily,imagine what this can do to the economy of ondo state......the lekki free zone alone has added billions to the economy of several communities within that corridor that were hitherto moribund before now,i know what eleko was like 20 years ago compared to now.
