idiiot, how much are we supposed to pay before ? A country that has the lowest minimum wage and it's citizens are in darkness (worst mw/h per person) in electricity.

Say it how much is enough for a greedy govt that does nothing for it's citizens.

Even USA is just 16%. China is 11%. Kenya is 7%. But 10% is not enough for a govt raping it's citizens left and right.

One day all you Apc supporter will be shot dead for defending suffering and gas lighting people. I will personally pull the trigger.
Degenerate numbskull like yourself.....10% of what.....how many people are paying taxes....there are businesses registered over 20,30 yrs without paying a dime in tax but are still in business.
Nigeria has one of the lowest tax to GDP figures in the world and here you are yapping whatnot about paying taxes...... nigerians are generally averse to paying taxes with the belief that since we have oil, govt should do everything, tell me which country would grow like that.
There is already emerging data that about 46% of Nigerians earn below 100k monthly....that's already a huge number out of the taxable bracket because they are already tax exempt.

yes 10% before it was zero taxes you claimed. And why will people pay doing their business pay tax? You don't even know how taxes work. And yet you're here spreading stupidity.

You think govt is supposed to knock on peoples door to ask for tax. ? Go read online the difference types of tax and how the govt collects it and stop spreading foolishness here.
An imbecilic whelp like yourself can't decipher not paying enough taxes isn't same as not paying taxes at all, something as basic as this is too difficult for you to comprehend.

Your Brain will be better off with organ harvesters because you can't even use it.

You don't pay tax in Nigeria they deduct it. And they don't give any receipt to you.

So they can hire nicampooops like you to gaslight the public into believing they don't pay tax.

Each time you deposit money In the bank they deduct vat,

make a call they deduct vat,

if you receive salary from the govt or any organisation into the bank they deduct their PAYE

buy any imported goods and you pay extra for custom duties.

Paying tax isnt by choice but by force. It's incorporated into everything and you can't escape it.
What vat is being deducted from your fintech adaptation for your daily transactions.....you lie effortlessly like you can't even breathe without dropping one.

The agro commodities you buy,how much vat is being charged, you may be the real maverick to limited cognitive elements but not on an enlightened forum like this........the tax to GDP ratio of Nigeria is one of the lowest in Africa,so you want to argue that too...... because some few people in 200m pays taxes or few corporates doesn't mean we have a robust tax system.

you're extremely stuppid didn't you claim we don't pay taxes now you've quickly changed mouth and now talking of compliance rate.

Look at the business/cooperative taxes at 20%. That's too much For a country where nothing is subsided. The end customer me and you are paying for those taxes in high cost. Keep fooling yourself.

IAM very sure you are collecting 20k as salary and here defending rubbish.
You inredeemable fool!! If 10 people are paying taxes out of a 100 that should, what does that tell you?

With a country of 200m people, juxtapose our personal income tax receipts with that of Kenya or SA.

The argument is that our tax net isn't broad enough and we need to do that,I believe that's beyond your cognitive ability.

the problem is after generating the money through tax, it goes into the pockets of individuals and nothing can be done about it. Even when they are caught, they serve 4 months jail term and come out to enjoy the money.
The reason it's so is because you aren't paying enough tax and it really doesn't bother you who and how is stealing govt money but if govt forces you to pay tax through your noses....you will be forced to push for better accountability.....the only reason govt doesn't seem to care much about your wellbeing is cause govt isn't dependent on your tax.

youre still saying we dont pay taxes in Nigeria. Typical APC sympathetic phrase meant to gaslight people.

Seems you want me to curse you.

We pay very similar tax rates with china who have 100x our GDP and pay more for everything than china, and you're here defending it.

Yet the govt provide nothing for the poor people it's taxing. No free feeding, no free health care. Can't even provide security, no social welfare.

Should I also mention the minimum wages?
The joke is on you,you and your myopic ilk....Did you in anyway bother to even read the data you put up there......what's China's population compared to ours, what's the compliance rate compared to ours, did you even bother to compare the VAT rates which has just gotten jacked up to 7.5% as it had always been 5%,the progressive tax at the top is still way higher than ours.

nonsense. you're looking for praises for a useless political student loan that won't last a year

Imagine students being sent 20k for upkeep. And you're here rejoicing whereas Kenya sends $300 for upkeep.

Once you see you're been defeated you'll start trying to gaslight about taxes. We don't pay taxes blalblah blah...yet our tax income per year is over 20billion.

In essence Nigerians pay more for everything, pay high taxes and get nothing back from the govt except stealing and more gaslighting.

People like you ought to be destroyed with the bad leaders you're defending. Yes you'll deserved to be wiped out. You've turned this country into the worst country on earth. Kia!
You are an irredeemable demented ideologue who sees nothing good in their own.....did Kenya start educational finance today or yesterday.

You are here foaming in the mouth about you paying taxes, how much tax do you pay compared to the average Kenyan..... Nigeria is a largely informal economy and majority still operate outside the tax net....even simple health insurance that should have been fir the benefit of all majority still kicks against it and find ways of avoiding it.

We have been going down the abyss for years and a lot of things we should have put in place long before now weren't done and this govt is making ingenious effort to correct the lacuna, every reasonable person with a brain knows everything can't be done all at once and we only need to start from somewhere but degenerate hate filled looser like yourself don't even have the most basic understanding of governance.

typical frog eye supporter defending stupidity as usual.

Have you checked how much electric bill is in china ? N18 in china compared to N250 per unit in Nigeria.

And for the new launched student loan. That is a complete joke. what is the amount loan given to students.? Plus it's not even up to 6 months. Lol.

Student loan in the US reach N50 million or $30k per year.

Poor people in Us get free food from govt and monthly $800 free benefits.
Plus many other credit benefits. You can never go hungry there.

In essence all basic things are cheap, if they're not govt pays, subsides it, or loan it

But in Nigeria it's the reverse.

even the middle class can't feed Themselves. And yet they still spend all their salaries on bills and taxes with no govt support.

And don't quote me saying no tax in Nigeria. That's the biggest gaslighting ever!

almost Every country in the world pay taxes including Nigeria.
You people will keep comparing apples and oranges by only picking out the narrative that best soothes your despicable inebriated self debasing ego.

Electricity prices per kWh in china is about 7 cents which brings you to about 119 naira but it would be downright criminal to refuse to mention how much subsidy the govt pays in electricity subsidy and how much tax the Chinese pay to their govts.

You delusional deliquent isn't paying any tax in your own country but expect govt to provide everything free.....

You call a student loan that was just launched barely 6 months ago as useless despite already doing about 100b in funds and their are already testimonies to its effectiveness......you are nothing but a preposterously incorrigible empty head.....did America get where they are today in a year or
2.....can you live in same America and get away with your brazen disregard of your basic civic responsibility of paying taxes.

You truly don't know anything!! Ho study on the American military -industrial complex.....they push all the narratives to keep everyone on the edge and justify selling arms to the saudis to keep attacking Yemen.....Iran supports the houthis to checkmate Saudi who are their major arch rivals in the region and all this propaganda is to keep everyone busy about how dangerous Iran is when in actual fact Iran doesn't even have their time.

The houthis cannot blockade the red sea as they would be leveled mins.....a few isolated attacks can be successful, but you should know it's in cahoots with their enablers, the CIA and the Pentagon.

The middle east needs to remain unstable for America to keep smiling to the bank.

The Houthis, a ragtag militia have also blockaded the Red Sea for a year now and chased the US carrier battle groups and other NATO countries navies from accessing the Red Sea.

The US military is overhyped and overpriced. This is what Trump is trying to fix. To cut down excessive spending.

The US pays $8000 for a single shell, Russia makes the exact same shell for $600. This is why the US military budget is overbloated.
Stop listening to propaganda and stop displaying your ignorance with such impudence.... Do you know what a blockade of the red sea means for world trade, intact it's the presence of American bases just across the SE in Djibouti that has checked the madness of those houthis......the red sea is a heavily militarised zone with America,UK,france, china,Italy even Qatar and UAE all having military bases there.

That story up there is nothing but propaganda,if the houthis had that much capabilities, they would have been marching on Riyadh by now.

keep quiet, nothing is free or cheap in Nigeria. electricity is cheaper in advanced countries Singapore and china is way higher than in Nigeria.

What you call cheap education is just the entire school cost broken down to give illusion you're paying less. After paying tuition fees you'll still pay hostel, feeding, and buy materials.

Most of you here are very ignorant. No country goes far without subsiding basic necceistiy of life for it's citizens.

As rich as USA it still pays subsidy on fuel, offer long term students loans, and gives many social benefits and credit to it's Citizens.

But you guys want to kill Nigerians with billing without any cushioning effect and have audacity to gaslight them they're not paying enough.huh
Selective amnesia as usual.....its so obvious how unintelligent you are for saying electricity is cheaper in the advanced countries

hasn't tinubu launched same student loans you are worshipping those advanced countries for.....rather than appreciate him and urge him to do more, you start castigating him.

Are you aware govt is still paying subsidy on the electricity you use.....those countries you are praising for subsidising basic necessities for their citizens, are you aware how much tax they pay.....govt is trying to initiate tax reforms and it's still same you procrastinating and crying blue murder on how tinubu wants to tax you to death when infact you aren't even paying any tax whatsoever.

Even common electricity, Tinubu has turned it to gold. I remember my days in University then when electric stove is the main standard for all the students. Hardly can u find any student without electric stove but today, nobody can use electric stove because of draconian policy of one drug addict. Nigeria is gone.
Go abroad where electricity is free nah!! You are the reason why many tertiary institutions can't pay their energy bills till date because you were all used to and felt entitled to everything free without wanting to pay that's why everything govt is comatose......if you had been paying what was due and fair,we still wouldn't be complaining about power outages today.

Education is one of the cheapest in Nigeria that's the problem that govt has been having with doctors who train here for almost free and then take their expertise abroad to benefit another society in the name of greener pastures, which ever side you decide to look at it,they both have a point.

You want govt to provide petrol, education, health, jobs, free roads etc but don't ever want to pay tax.
