President Bola Tinubu's administration has acquired a luxury Airbus A330 aircraft for presidential use, despite criticism from various sources.

According to Empowered Newswire, the aircraft is currently in France and has been spotted at an advanced stage of preparation. The plane has been assigned a tail registration that features the seal of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It was reportedly ready for delivery.

The aircraft in question is an ACJ330-200, VP-CAC (msn 1053), registered as 5N-FGA.

It features a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom at the front, followed by an office and a conference and dining room. It also has an airline-style first-class and economy seating at the rear.

The report noted that informed sources from international aviation firms and news sites also indicate that as of early afternoon Nigerian time on July 15, 2024, the plane has been flown from Germany to an airport in Saint Louis, France.

SaharaReporters on June 28 reported that the Nigerian government planned to spend over N150 billion on a new presidential jet, a move that sparked controversy.

The proposed expenditure comes under scrutiny as the nation grapples with economic challenges and record inflation.

PREMIUM TIMES had reported that the Nigerian government intended to acquire a seized Airbus A330 aircraft, which was reportedly in possession of a German bank, following a default on a multi-million dollar loan by an unnamed Arab prince and businessman.

The government had reportedly identified the aircraft for purchase but was seeking funds to complete the transaction, pending any changes to the plan.

According to reports, the Nigerian government had its sights on the Airbus A330 aircraft, previously owned by a troubled oil sheikh who used it as collateral for a loan from a German bank.

The aircraft was at that time in the possession of L & L International LLC, a Miami-based aviation firm, which was facilitating the sale on behalf of the German bank. Valued at $600 million, the multi-engine jet boasts a luxurious VIP configuration.

According to the report, the Nigerian government had made a bid of approximately $100 million for the repossessed Airbus A330 aircraft, but the seller, L & L International LLC, was yet to accept the offer.

It was reported that the proposed payment equivalent was N150.7 billion, based on the official exchange rate of N1,507 per US dollar at the time.

According to the report, AMAC Aerospace AG, a Swiss aviation company, was facilitating the Nigerian government's acquisition of the repossessed Airbus A330 aircraft.

AMAC Aerospace AG has a pre-existing contract with the Presidential Air Fleet (PAF) for aircraft maintenance, but the company's director, Alexis Ott, declined to comment on the matter, citing a policy of not disclosing information about such transactions.

An operator history dashboard on planespotters.net also showed that the Airbus 330 was now wearing the tail registration of the Nigerian presidential jet 5N-FGA and also adorned with the Nigerian Presidential Seal.

wrong! A faulty submersible water pump is a major fix and should be routinely maintained and repaired by the landlord. However, minor INDOOR repairs and maintenance must be carried out by the tenant. A leaky roof, for instance, isn't expected to be fixed by the tenant because it's a major repair just like a faulty submersible pump.

What if it's not a submersible pump but those surface pumps?
Does the type of pump matter in who does the repair? 🤷

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has described as ‘confounding’ a $3.3 billion emergency crude repayment loan secured by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and facilitated by African Export-Import Bank (Afrieximbank) in 2022.

LEADERSHIP reports that the landmark loan deal was sealed in the wake of the free fall of the local currency (Naira) against the United States Dollar and according to the NNPCL at the time, it was to help give support to the Naira and stabilise the Foreign Exchange market.

Atiku claimed that the $3.3billion loan, with an interest rate of not more than 12%, will be repaid with the nation’s crude oil worth $12billion, hence the President Bola Tinubu administration owes Nigerians an explanation.

He also queried why the Federal Government would register a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for the deal in the Bahamas, a country notorious for being a safe haven for illicit funds.

In a series of tweets on his verified X handle (formerly Twitter) on Thursday evening, the former presidential candidate of the major opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who raised five posers about the ‘landmark economic decision’ by the Tinubu government, however, added that it was curious that up till now, the Federal Government continued to keep silent about the deal.

Atiku, therefore, demanded answers to the five posers on behalf of ordinary Nigerians.

The former VP wrote: “In what appears to be a landmark economic decision of the Bola Tinubu-led administration, the Federal Government last year, precisely on August 16, 2023 through the Nigeria National Petroleum Company (NNPC) secured a $3.3 billion emergency crude repayment loan, which according to the NNPC, was to help give support to the Naira and stabilize the Foreign Exchange market.

“The curious thing about this transaction is that up till now, the Federal Government continues to keep mum about it, and the only information available to the public on the mega deal is coming only through unofficial sources from the NNPC.

“According to information available, a Special Purpose Vehicle called Project Gazelle Funding Limited is driving the deal, and it was incorporated in the Bahamas.

“The SPV is the borrower while the NNPC is the sponsor, with an agreement to pay with crude oil to the SPV in order to liquidate the loan at an interest rate that is a little over 12 per cent.

“What is even more confounding about this deal is why the Federal Government would register a company in the Bahamas, knowing full well the recent scandal of the Paradise Papers that involved that country.

“Curiously also, Nigeria’s current Barrels Produced Daily (BPD) is 1.38 million, and according to the Project Gazelle deal, Nigeria is to supply 90,000 Barrels of its daily production, starting from 2024 till it is up to 164.25 million barrels for the repayment of the loan.

“Now, this is where the details get disturbing because Nigeria’s benchmark for the sale of crude per barrel in 2024 is $77.96. A simple multiplication of that figure by 164.25 will give us a whooping $12bn.

“It is on this note that we are calling on the Federal Government to speak up on this shady deal.

“It is inconceivable that the Federal Government will lead the country to take a loan of $3.3b with an interest rate that is not more than 12 per cent, but with estimated repayment amounting to $12bn.

“That is a humongous differential of about $7b between what is in the details of the deal on paper and what indeed is the reality.

“There are questions to be answered on the integrity of this deal, and we earnestly request the Federal Government to talk directly on these cloudy details behind the deal.

“We therefore demand, on behalf of the ordinary people of Nigeria, that the Federal Government provides answers to the following questions.

“1. Has the Federal Government accessed the loan?

“2. Is the loan in the government’s borrowing plan as approved by the National Assembly?

“3. Who are the parties to the loan, and what specific roles are they expected to play?

“4. What are the conditions to the loan, including tenor, repayment terms, the collateral, and the interest rate?

“5. And, lastly, why register an SPV in the Bahamas knowing the recent scandal of the country’s notoriety for warehousing unclean assets?”

In a post he just made on Twitter, the doctor stated that they met on Twitter in 2019 and despite never setting eyes on each other, the relationship was never stable.

He then mentioned that he specifically asked her if she was insinuating he sexually abused her and she replied saying NO.

In his rebuttal, Harvey wrote on how he accommodated Bola for 4 months in his apartment despite the duo not being in talking terms, and his only crime was him not allowing her into his heart.

After resigning, 3days before I went to the new company I was called that I will be trained for 2yrs which was the second red flag.

The first red flag is that all the top officers of the company were women which I was uncomfortable with.

I got there yesterday to pick up work tool and all I saw was a turn off
1. IT guy asked me to turn on my data to set up the laptop they will give me
2. We will be working from home till Corona clears out. No power (Gen) support, I asked for data and the hr guy said I will reach out to Admin.
3. No pension, hmo, housing scheme, transportation, I was already boiling inside of me
4. He said I am resuming as a contract staff and they will make me full staff at their convenient time. That I just heard that day.
4. I will work one year before I am entitled to leave. I will be under supervision for 2yrs and cannot leave the company within that period
5. Most annoying part is that he said it is a Christian company I nearly slap the guy.

These and many other red flags I saw.

So guys do not resign from your previous job before taking another offer. If the new offer is not good enough turn it down and continue with the old job till a better one comes.

I read some comments bashing him about his observations that top management of the new place being only women.

Believe me; from personal experience it can be a very red flag cos most likely, that place will be run mainly based on emotional sentiments with very little balance of objective analytic perspective men bring into things.

It's always good to have a balance of both genders in management. Women also have a very important input of "feminine intuition and compassion" they bring to the table. In addition to the fact that people are usually more at ease to trust women more in financial transactions.

It's just like a home where though it's essential to have both parents, one is not more important than the other and it's definitely not best to have a single parenting if the option of both parents being on ground is available.

There was so much to read from their body language.

The girl squirmed and sniggered every time he spoke to her or asked her a question. She only genuinely came alive with true smiles when interacting with her kid. That was the only joyous moment and purpose for her.

The whole thing seemed staged by ffk, the celebration, cakes and what may meant nothing to her.

I could sense a feel of being trapped, she continually tried to be grateful and appreciate, I'm sure she's been coerced into believing she should count her blessings and be grateful for the life she has, but she's probably come to the realisation that all of that is nought. Sad sad situation
