You are making a mistake.
They brought certificates from different years to show the difference in design from each era.
Liu is just having the registrar confirm that such certificates are from the year 2003 or a later year than 1979.

I've gone through the deposition transcript that Hundeyin posted.

What seems clear to me is that there was a previous meeting where other things were said, and a couple of times during the deposition, references are made to those conversations.

For example, I searched for 'offsite' in the deposition transcript, and could not find this conversation or 'offsite' in earlier paragraphs.

I didn't see any conversation in this transcript where CSU states that 3rd party vendors produce diplomas for them either.

There also seem to be references to a conversation yesterday.

At this point, I have to admit that I dont know for certain the full picture of what is going on. This deposition was focused more on establishing whether the Bola Tinubu that is president of Nigeria is the same Bola Tinubu that graduated from CSU, and while the registrar stated the schools belief that they are the same, Atiku's lawyer seemed to be insinuating that the Mr Orr that certified some of Tinubu's document might have been on payroll.

I still believe that on the basis of probability, Atiku's argument will fail in court - but I recognise that this case is not as clear as I previously thought.

Respect for this.
So we wait for atiku to further take it to where we don't know

The argument is that the school doesn't recognise what he submitted to INEC as it was gotten from a 3rd party unless I'm wrong and please correct me.

My question is are 3rd party issued diploma's used for official things?

The one you get from the university can be used for INEC.
The one you get from the others apparently isn't for official use.
Do you understand where the forgery accusation is coming from?

A university certificate is not proof that you went to university. That's a ridiculous thing to say. Are you telling me that if I handed you a university certificate that says I went to havard on it, that proves I went to harvard?

If you've applied to any uni abroad for masters as an example, you'll realise that you don't even get asked for your certificate. Instead you are asked to get your uni to send your transcript to them.

The problem with this is that our own "backward" system in Nigeria uses just certificate to check.
As backward as it is, INEC requested for a certificate and not a transcript.
INEC as a body expects that when you produce the certificate, it should be a document that can be used in OFFICIAL capacity.
If you use a 3rd party designed diploma ma (because we have gotten like 3 examplez today of websites where you can design your diploma), is that type allowed to be used in official capacity?

Again.. We are all trying to learn here.
We've just found out the US has 3rd party diploma printers.
So the next question is can you use those diplomas that are gotten from 3rd parties like the sites shared for any official duty or just for hanging on your wall.
