Because people do warri to benin in 45mins when the road was new.
Lagos to benin is literally 4hrs with a good road, you follow through bypass and that means you are already facing warri which is like 1hr at most.

Every administration will prioritize road infrastructure based on the agenda of that administration especially as it relates to federal roads.

Buhari set up the Presidential Infrastructure Fund during his time to cater to road projects like the 2nd Niger Bridge and completion of the Lagos to Ibadan expressway.

This coastal highway will have it's own dedicated funding arrangement likewise all other new infrastructural projects.

The yearly ministry of work budget already usually covers most of the existing roads repairs and maintenance.

Building the coastal highway will not stop the Oyo - Ogbomosho road from being completed.

We sometimes need to elevate the level of discuss we have here from being too pedestrian.

You know why I like you, you can defend a point and then claim surprise later when there's Bleep up or when the actual stupidity that people are pointing out shows now.

The 2nd Niger bridge you are taking about, how active is it right now compared to the original
2ndly we have alot of roads in the southern side of the country that needs to be fixed and the timeline to fix it is alot faster and would cost significantly less while still delivering the same economic value.

If you people are even claiming that the reason you support this road is because Lagos side will be worked on (regardless of how much it's costing the country) then I will even respect that opinion.

The 700 km Lagos-Calabar coastal road will be constructed for N15 trillion, and a kilometre of the road will cost N4 billion. It is designed to connect Lagos to Cross River, passing through Ogun, Ondo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Akwa Ibom states, before culminating in Cross River.

Explain how 15 trillion is cheaper long term when we already have roads that connect all these states and if fixed will make it even faster, while still having a particular road called the East-West road that needs to be fixed.

Benin to warri is a dead road last time I checked, how much and how long will it cost to fix such a road as against how long it will take and cost to construct a coastal road all the way from Lagos to calabar?

If you are talking about quality of road lasting, the road constructed from Ore to Benin has lasted since God knows how long and only now needs maintenance again.. Abi how much e go cost inside that 15 trillion to take maintain am?
