Bily,

Thanks so much for your advice. Greatly appreciated!
That's what I'm doing just now. I'm at starcomms website
and I came across two USB modems called;

1. Starcomms iZAP USB Ovation MC 727 and
2. Epivalley iZAP REV A 7089 USB MODEM

Which between these two do you guys think I sh'ld go for?
I've heard you guys mention several times about Rev A. Does
that have anything to do with the internet download speed?

Becos as you can see above the Epivalley Modem has Rev A written
in the middle, so does that mean it's better or,

So what do you guys think More suggestions welcome, please.

Cheers.

HayProf,  init4dmoni, lynxnoon, aieromon and all the crew in the house, please don't leave me hanging now. I'm desperately in need of your professional help regarding this matter

Hello Guys,

I don't have a laptop yet and I'm using a desktop and based in Somolu, Lagos. I'm thinking of switching over to Izap Broadband. I know if I go to their office at Surulere, they may not tell me the truth. But what I really want to know is, if I get the starcomms evdo 3g seira datacard, and I configure it with my PC (with the help of my engineer) will I be able to get the same internet download speeds you guys are getting?

I'd also like to know if there's anyone in the house who wants to sell his starcomms evdo 3g seira datacard, to please call this no. 08056456403 so we can meet and shed some light on how to connect the datacard to my PC and other stuff.

If you're not a honest and straightforward person, please do not bother call.

Cheers All,

External antenna and amplifier with your card. Are they the same thing. How much are they? Will i get it at the starcomms office also?

And Rev A , and I've heard Rev O here in this forum too, what do they stand for?

Much appreciation goes to you guys for your help,

They are only after what they can get. Starcomms doesn't care about you or your business!!! But here's a warning to everyone who uses starcomms dial-up internet connection, Don't ever, ever ever think of subscribing to this service. You'll either end up punching your monitor or flinging it out of the room. It has lowest speeds of b/w 0 and 4kb/s. And when it's at 0, you'll keep on refreshing for more than 1hr before any webpage opens up. Don't even open yahoo. Don't even download ordinary 1Mb file, unless you want to have access to it the following month.

I'm about to change over to another network. And i'm enjoying the conversation taking place here. There was this guy that created a thread about "an international sim card that works like mtn fast links and accesses all sites and you can use your modem or nokai gprs enable phone as a modem". I can't seem to find the link to the thread.

Or do you guys recommend Starcomms Izap? Sh'ld i upgrade? I visited their site (www.starcomms.com) for more details about this the subscription plan but it couldn't open even after 1hr, so i just closed the page. What are their charges? I use a PC desktop.

thanks for your help, all.

Can someone please tell me what the cost of the whole starcomms Izap connection is?

Does it reach download speeds of 500KB as mentioned by starcomms?

How much is the monthly subscription for a 24hr connection?

Thanks Much For Help!

Webmasters / Re: Graphcard Payment Processor. How Reliable? by livingcove: 6:08pm On Sep 17, 2008
Baslone,

Thanks for your response.
Do you have any idea how long it takes to get thru to their customer service?
I sent a message to them on Yesterday, and they haven't replied.
That's why i'm doubtful of the services they claim to provide.

Do you have any of your friends here in the forum? Can i get in touch with them?
My main concern now is to get the internet card. I don't know how or where to get
it from. Please, what's the phone no. of your friends so i can enquire from them, or their
email address will probably do.
Thanks for your help, Baslone.

Kindest regards,

Olatunde.
Webmasters / Graphcard Payment Processor. How Reliable? by livingcove: 5:30pm On Sep 17, 2008
Hello guys,

Plaese, i'd like to know if there's anyone in this forum that's using this service to receive and send payments online. They also provide merchant services, has anyone signed up to this service? And if you have how reliable are they, in terms of customer service, prompt payment/notification, etc.

I'm about to sign up a merchant account with them but i want to find out if anyone here has been using them so i can either go on with them of 'FLUNK' them.

Suggestions highly welcome,

Thanks,

Olatunde.
