38.81% record credits in English and Maths as WAEC releases results

The West African Examinations Council on Friday released the results of the May/June 2012 West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination.
Announcing the results, Head, National Office of the Council, Dr. Iyi Uwadie, said a total of 1,672,224 candidates sat for the examination.
Out of this figure, a total number of 1545,004 representing 91.10 per cent had their results fully released, while 150,874 candidates representing 8.90 per cent had a few of their subjects still being processed due to some errors committed by the candidates at the point of entry.
Of the total number of candidates that sat for the examination,a total of 771,731 candidates representing 46.14 per cent obtained 6 credits and above,952,156 candidates representing 56,93 per cent obtained five credits and above while 1,107,747 representing 66.24% obtained credits in four subjects.
However, a total of 649,156 candidates representing 38.81 per cent obtained credits in five subjects and above, including Mathematics and English Language.

Kharkiv it is.. Im just waiting for my waec result to come out then i'll start everything. Even if im an american citizen , do i still have to apply for a student visa??

Hey Guys,im thinking of coming to Ukraine to study medicine at either Crimea or Kharkiv Medical University? Give me some info at least from those already there. What is it like there?

Well first of all, I never really had much of an interest in igbinedion. It was kinda my last resort because of my jamb score this year I had to settle for a private uni but bowen uni was my first choice and they gave me microbiology so I'm just gonna go there. People have been telling me a lot of bad things about the school but apart from what people have been telling me I don't like the structure of their post ume.. They gave everyone admission that day and it was literally on the spot lol.. So I really don't know what to expect. Nobody was given medicine because they said only the best 60 after 1st year will proceed to 200 level medicine. And bowen's teaching hospital just got fresh accreditation and I pray that after my first year there I will transfer to medicine .

This thread is interesting, but to tell yall the truth, america aint all that so i wonder what the rush is.. I guess you will find out when you get there. Its fun though , no lie but school especially at the university level isn't easy. Trust me . Goodluck though guys.

They have not even finished marking the scripts, the results are to be out late this month or early august.

hey guys, i've been usng my macbook with no problems at all until just last week when i noticed i couldn't hear from the laptop anymore, i could only use headphones and it's really pissing me off. when i remove the headphones, theres a glowing red led in the headphoe jack. what do i do? i need my sound back please..

Well, i dont really know about hostels because im also an aspirant and i didnt chose them in jamb i just bought the form. For the exam, i dont know the format at all..

So they slash students based on their performance in the first year? And also.. Are they still having problems with accreditation.. I hope not cause i dont want to spend 9 years for. 6 year course..
