Yes ma I tried the number on the paper given (094601748) numerous times it never went through not even ones and yes ma really odd response I was really vexed in my spirit but I replied stating my case was transferred and handled in Lagos... I guess it is all a waiting game now
VisaOfficer:

Hmmmmm that is an odd response. Did you reply and tell them that even though your case number starts with LND, it was handled in Lagos and they ought to be able to find it?

Good Morning Ma

I went to the DHL office in VI to collect my passport but was told they didn't have it. the CEAC website says visa ISSUED on the 3rd of September and after the interview the Consular said my passport would be ready for pick up in 2weeks which actually falls on the 2nd of September and all I needed to do was to go pick it up. I sent an email to the LagosIV email on saturday and no response yet just the automated one hmm but then I am wondering if I made a mistake when I went to the DHL office because I signed my details under the Immigrant collection and not NonImmigrant visa collection cos when I think of it K1 falls under both.

Ma so I went into the DHL office again today this time around asked under both Immigrant and NonImmigrant still nothing in regards to my passport Ustraveldocs as well keeps saying There is no status update available for this passport but before the CEAC changed to ISSUED it was always showing Passport still with the consulate. Furthermore Ma, I got an email from LagosIV today and the reply I got was they can't track the progress because my case number starts with LND ma I was flabaggastered with the reply for crying out loud my case was transferred and the case number was never changed besides I made sure the email contained the case number correctly which is LND20******** 01LGS... Ma its really sad your not in Nigeria anymore but your assistance would be very much appreciated.

Good evening Ma, I finally got the email stating they have received the file less than a week after the previous email of discouragement and what saddens me really is that I decided to go on a holiday not back to Nigeria till august and have also rescheduled it till august 20th .. hmmm sad much my question now is the I-129f approval has an expiry date of 24th August M guessing this means I ought to be in the states by then does this get extended??

Good morning,

Your file's not here yet. Our Correspondence Unit sent you the preparation packet because your most recent e-mail said: "I am ready for interview, I have booked an interview for 9th of July, and the CEAC website says ready for interview, what next??" That made it sound like your case is a case like any other (i.e. not a post-to-post transfer awaiting arrival here), so the Unit thought you just needed to know about the panel physicians, etc. Sorry about the confusion.

I'd say keep you July 9 interview for now. I'll be back in the office next week; if you could e-mail us then, I'll try to keep an eye out for your e-mail so I can follow up. Hang in there!

Good Morning Ma, I sent an email today thank you for all the support.

Sorry, I'm not in Lagos at the moment! You could e-mail LagosIV@state.gov and ask.

Good Morning ma, I sent the email and got a reply this morning it stated that they didn't have it yet *deep sigh* Ma I have booked an interview for July 9th with the hope that my physical file would be in Lagos by June now am just so worried I have no idea why its taking so long for the physical case to get to Lagos, and the website keeps saying ready for interview, Ma is there anything I can do like sending a check for premium/Express delivery via dhl for it to be delivered or should I just forget about the possibility of an interview for when have scheduled it for? worried much

I'd imagine the file will arrive in a matter of days once it is sent from the other post. As K visa applicants make their own appointments online, it is quite possible that you will get a June appointment -- if someone cancels, as they often do. Again, we will contact you with instructions as soon as we receive your file. (I know it's hard to wait!!!)

Ma M going through a very annoying situation I went online trying to schedule an appointment for July, but the website is stating 13th of August to be the earliest possible time is this correct ma should I book my interview for then or is it possible to get one for July "very sad face"

You're very welcome! We'll contact you as soon as we have the physical file with instructions as to how to proceed.

Good morning ma, I wanted to confirm if you could give me a rough estimate as to when my physical file would get to lagos and ma is it possible to have my interview scheduled for June. Thank you ma

It'll take a while for the petition to make it to London. London is an extremely busy Consulate, so it's best to touch base with them again in a week or so.

Good Afternoon Ma, I checked CEAC as of today and it says my case is Ready for interview at the London Embassy but Ma I am not a resident there any longer, Ma what next?? Should I email Lagos IV again to request for a transfer on my behalf? Thank you Ma

Ma thank you so much God Bless you ma I honestly really appreciate all your effort may God continue to uphold you ma, Ma I got the email from your office Ma I then went ahead to call NVC again just to extra confirm if my case is still with them but Ma the supervisor at NVC said they already sent it to London as at Friday the 15th of May 2015 and they can't request it back, Ma I am guessing London has not received it but should get it before the end of this week Ma my question now is would they immediately transfer it to Lagos Ma since your office has already requested for it previously? Ma Thank you so much I really appreciate not just your help but the promptness of how your handling my case God bless you ma.

Ma God Bless You, thank you very much I have emailed the London Embassy and cc'd Lagos Embassy as well.

Ma the London embassy just replied my email in regards to transferring my case to Lagos and I have forwarded the email to the Lagos IV email
The email contained:

Thank you for your inquiry.

Immigrant visa applications should be processed by the U.S. Embassy or Consulate General with jurisdiction over the applicant’s place of residence. Please contact the Immigrant Visa Unit at the Consulate General in Lagos regarding this matter. If they agree to process your application, they should contact the Immigrant Visa Unit at the Embassy in London through official channels to request your case file.

What next ma? Thank You ma God bless you for your help

If you e-mail London and cc us, requesting that the case be transferred, then as soon as London receives it, they'll send it to us. I'd guess the mix-up will add around two weeks to your processing time, but certainly no more than that.

Ma God Bless You, thank you very much I have emailed the London Embassy and cc'd Lagos Embassy as well.

My approved I-129fiance petition has been approved and sent to NVC I called today to ask for my case number and realized my case number starts with LND meaning London embassy instead of Lagos despite putting in the application that my choice of embassy is Lagos I have called them and they have asked me to send an email but I read online that they take 60days to reply back I am so fed up I have no idea of what to do next and advice would be greatly appreciated
