RomanceRe: WHY Do You Love OR Hate Facebook ?? by llouis: 8:27am On Oct 25, 2014
jejemanito:
Facebook is whack

No facelessness which makes it so hard to express oneself
Why would a mature man be afraid of people knowing what he looks like as he shares his thoughts, ideas and ideals?

From your comment, it means there would be less childish comments, arguments and insults on this forum if people could be linked to a face.

It also means a lot of the things you say here you won't be able to say it in front of your friends and people who know you. That begs the question - are we that desperate for acceptance by society that we are willing to don a mask so we can voice out our innermost thoughts?

This is fear, this is bondage and this is merely a way to exist, not a way to live and live fulfilled.

Guy be yourself, say what you want. If everybody is afraid to air their views because people will be able to link it to them, a lot of great and powerful quotable quotes born and bred of great men and women would never be able to identify their parents. As bastards they would wander the earth frustrated, seeking expression and recognition till they end up in an archive on the internet; like a ring without a finger, unable to serve their true purpose for the rest of eternity.

As for Facebook, once you login on your computer they monitor every web page you visit, as long as you did not sign out. They know everything you do online, everywhere you go, even when you post a pic or you post a thought and u delete it from your timeline it still stays in their database, together with all your chat messages. Facebook also has a right to use your pictures as adverts in other countries to make money. For me this is a gross invasion of privacy which I find emotionally insulting and thought provoking.

Download this app (privacyfix for social networks) by AVG and go through it if you don't believe what I am saying, it tells you how much you are worth to Facebook and how much they make from you in a year. The last time I checked I was worth $2 to them.

Due to these reasons I find myself on Facebook like once every two eternities; the fact that people are monitoring my everyday life without my direct consent is something I find repulsive. But then again the rule of the internet is thus: If you pay for a product it becomes yours, but If its free and you register for it, you become the product. So Facebook can use data of its hundreds of millions of subscribers anyhow it likes and no one can complain.

RomanceRe: Choosing Between Two Girls by llouis: 7:24am On Oct 23, 2014
First of all, loving a lady is a choice, a deliberate decision, what you friend has is emotional feelings for two girls. And emotional excitation the last time I checked is addictive, temporary and doesn't define or determine a man's true value for a woman and vice versa.

Secondly, I am now abreast of his dedication to both relationships, but why would a mature man date two women? This is a most foolish decision; it quietly prompts actions that when carried out can in the least be described as childish, unmanly and illogical. Small wonder the confusion {Isn't it funny that the words "focused" and "confused" are constructed with the same letters of the alphabet?}

The fact that he has been double-dating for two years simply states he will cheat on whoever he marries out of these two ladies. The resolve to stick to one woman regardless of her shortcomings and his lack of physical attraction to her beauty (which is something a married man will experience from time to time) is something he lacks and must by all needs muster if he is to prevent himself from LovePeddler-mongering in marriage (but then again, chastity and monogamy is are ideals not suitable for overgrown children who reason with their ego and their third leg that cannot boast of a single bone or joint).

Thirdly, never compare two women, please by all means do not. Women were created not to be intelligent, physically strong or logical in their reasoning (I am not a chauvinist, I simply speak the truth); no, women were created to be happy, enjoy life and in the midst of these, exhibit virtues that will influence, inspire and form strong bonds between themselves and their loved ones. Hence they enjoy things that will stimulate and excite their emotions continuously (jokes, gossip, music, movies, the thrill of being in love and being loved in return), engage in communication and conversation tirelessly (bonds are easily formed from such) and more than anything else, women are wired to earnestly desire and contend for attention, affection, appreciation and admiration (my 4 A's of Acceptance).

Every woman has in her the potential to love and love very deeply as long as it brings about emotional fulfillment and satisfaction for her. Education can always be acquired, and beauty (which is solely in the eyes of the beholder) varies from lady to lady. Your choice for a wife based on physique isn't childish but bear in mind that a woman's' body most of the time follows the economical law of diminishing returns, thereby prompting the saying that a woman's greatest enemy is "aging". In time her face will germinate wrinkles, her body will grow flab, folds and or cellulite, her breasts will plummet faster than rain on a stormy day, her hair lost due to excess treatment with chemicals over the decades (and let's not even talk about her skin). This is inevitable for every lady; her overall physical beauty fades and nature herself who was probably green with envy when the woman was in her youth will hold her sides and roll over in mockery and laughter that the same reason for her envy is now the one for her amusement.

So my advice, stop dating the two both of them; pick one, and decide to love and cherish her regardless of her looks and intelligence, because reality is, you will always meet ladies that are more beautiful, intelligent and sexier than your wife in your eyes (take it from a married man dude), so what will keep you to your wife is your resolve to love and cherish her not because of the appearance of her physical casing, but for her inner beauty and tender heart for God and for others.

Women naturally complicate issues when they are not managed and led by a mature man (if you can't take my word for it, fine; just go ask Adam (the first man ever), Samson(the strongest man ever), Solomon (the wisest man ever) and Abraham (the Sarah-Hagar conspiracy).

Only a mature man can value a woman's worth, make her happiness his number one priority and not treat her as a sex object or tool to fulfill inordinate desires, may I suggest you and your friend bathe in the rivers of wisdom so that you can become desirable and admirable men of society.

RomanceRe: My Girlfriend saga(when I was jobless) by llouis: 10:10am On Oct 22, 2014
Guy,
First of all if you don't have something doing that's earning your money you don't have any business dating a woman. A man must provide for his woman, and for that, he needs to have something he is doing, a work, vocation, something that is bringing in money! Women will lose respect for a man that is not working, so don't expect respect from any woman whilst you are jobless and broke.

Secondly, a woman that threatens to leave you if you can't deliver, please LET HER GO!!!
Never beg a woman to stay with you, never beg a woman to believe in you, and never bend to a woman because she threatens to leave.
You are the man, you are in control. Do things only because they are right and mature, never bend to a woman. If you can't take my word for it go ask Abraham what Sarah did to him after he bent to her ideas.

Thirdly, there are 5 love languages - Quality Time, Words of Appreciation, Deeds of Service, Touch (body contact) and Gifts. Maybe her love languages that ring her bell are buying her gifts and deeds of service (waiting on her and doing things for her), if this be the case she will never notice your texts and calls since your words of appreciation (a body language) isn't hers.

Never assume you know a woman's body language, else you can send her hundreds of love text messages and she won't even appreciate or value one of them. Strive to know what she loves out of the 5 i have listed and give it to her.

Lastly, from the story you painted this lady does not love you and believe in you. Guy women are very perceptive; a woman can sense a man going places and a lot of them are ready to stick to that man even though presently he has little. My advice is to let her go and build yourself and work hard, in time women will be throwing themselves at your feet.

When I was serving the lady in my life then broke up with me with the reason that if she married me she will struggle and suffer for the rest of her life and she didn't want that (I was earning 2k per month then and it all went into transport to and from work). She ended up going back to her previous boyfriend because the dude had a car and rented a flat. It took years for me to get myself emotionally but I did. 7 years later she calls me almost everyday telling me how she is unable to eat since morning and I should send her money to feed herself.

Guy, get a job, take care of her, and if she doesn't change her attitude despite your challenges and wants to leave, then let her go.
The beautiful thing about people who break up relationships is they always look over their shoulders thinking about what could have happened if they stayed and how it might have been. My bet is if she leaves you and you blow eventually she will be coming round for you to notice her.

It's then your own shakara go start!!!
RomanceRe: How Do I Get This Guy? by llouis: 9:49am On Oct 22, 2014
First of all you open a thread to tell the world you think you are the prettiest on this international forum, all in a bid to get attention,
now this same attention you desperately seek, you yearn for it from some you are attracted to based soley the his physical features of his casing.

You need to slow down girl!

Tolulope you are young, based on your looks, pose and persona you project from your profile pic, i assume you are under 21 (19 is a good guess since when signing up on nairaland you accepted the option of "Tolulope95"wink, so as a youngster I shall give you some advice that I didn't get when I was your age, the lack of which made me make a lot of stupid and serious mistakes.

At your age you should invest more in yourself; you are young, very young and your future is spotless, you have all the time in the world to flirt, date and have adventures with whoever you choose. At this point in your life your brain is still developing, and so is your understanding of your body, your self and your orientation about life.

why don't you work on your inner self? An attractive woman is one who's inner beauty and personality is so bright and pregnant with virtue that everyone around her sees it and can sense it. Seek to bring out that inner beauty, study, learn things, drown yourself in wisdom, have a deep understanding of things, and imbibe all other positive virtues (kindness, humility, meekness, patience, love, etc). This will attract not just youngsters like this your Romeo, but everyone as well, for light attracts all who draw strength and life from it.

If you must by all means gain his attention then do it subtly; a simple greeting here and there, with good conversation can suffice. Whatever you do don't throw yourself at him. Chances are he will notice you but you may not get his attention and leave an impression that will last. For guys like him, its the lady that doesn't send him that they will most probably want to chase.

Just remember your value doesn't decrease based on someone's ability to notice you or see your worth (I wish all ladies will remember to remember this as they go through their day longing for one person to notice their new hairdo, their beautiful makeup or the curves of their outer casing).

Here's the thing; all the other ladies throwing themselves at this dude are probably like you are now (in your current state), so he will most probably humour you ladies and flirt with most of you, but none of you will get his attention by your physical looks, desperate acts (which are unbecoming for a mature lady) and your die-hard resolve to be accepted and loved.

Remember also that beauty only gets the attention of a guy, but personality is what will capture his heart. Most ladies focus only on their outward beauty, in a bid to improve their overall value so as to be in demand, but like pirtates being drawn to treasure, most of them only get children masked as men who come to play with people they believe are just toys or objects that tickle their egos and sexual fantasies.

The sad reality of this generation is teenagers and youths will always want to date and get into relationships with people when they are nowhere ripe and mature for marriage. Most times they end up dating children or dogs (that think they are men). At the end of the day, a child will always be a child and a dog can bite the hand that feeds it, thereby birthing hurt and avoidable pain. Having been hurt by someone he or she thought she loved, these people now develop wrong notions about love and in turn, hurt others around them. Here we have it - a vicious cycle of hurt and pain brought about by a desperate attempt to be accepted and loved by others.

Christianity EtcRe: South African Preacher Gets Congregation To Drink PETROL by llouis: 9:39am On Oct 16, 2014
We no longer preach holiness anymore,
We no longer preach righteousness anymore,
We no longer preach godliness and contentment,
We no longer preach heaven and hell, the rapture and Jesus' second coming,
We no longer preach concerning the Great White Throne Judgement...

The apostles in the early church preached all these and their shadows were healing people, due to the fact that they were so filled with the Spirit the anointing was oozing out of their bodies mingled with their sweat such that their handkerchiefs which was used to wipe their faces was able to heal people.

2000 years later prosperity and miracles (which are but a byproduct of holiness and righteous living) are now being used to bring money into the church via the gullible and foolish Christians who have decided not to know God for themselves but would rather another man like them tell them what God has for them. Witchcraft and sorcery is now being masked as miracles, signs and wonders to deceive many because they are out of tune with God and are spiritually deaf.

Is it so hard for us to determine to live holy lives and hear God for ourselves?

The acts of this pastor violates scriptural principles. Why on earth would God have His people drink something that can destroy their bodies? How different is this from telling people they can willfully drink poison?

It is because of these teachings that lack doctrinal heritage believed en-masse by people that boko haram can enter churches and open fire on believers in church, claiming that our God cannot protect us from them.

God will never protect anyone outside the circle of His Perfect Will, Purpose and Presence. If you can't take my word for it go ask Samson.

I can admonish us to be careful of the so called ministers of God in these end times. A lot of them are not called of God, and a lot of churches and ministries we have today are not ordained by God. At the end of the day it is our holy living and righteous works that will take us to heaven. Whatever we amass here cannot be taken into eternity and will be left here.

I refuse to believe Christianity is a lost cause.

The church Jesus is coming for that is without spot and wrinkle may comprise of only a few hundreds or tens of people; it don't matter, God isn't looking for crowd, satan is. It is only those who are living according to the biblical standards of holiness and righteousness that make up the church; not everyone who attends a denomination, or pastors or men of God.

The church is marching on and the gates of hell cannot prevail against it.

1. Rambo(First Blood) 1982.
Sylvester Stallone.
Sile12:
15. DAHRAM VEER (1977).
Dhamendra.
OP na ebola go kill all your enemies o!!!
LOL!!!

This brings back so many memories,
My dad swapped "Rambo (First Blood)" for "The Burning Train" by Dhamendra and men did we watch this movie!
Back then in 1988 there was a limit to how many movies one could have on VHS so we had no choice but to watch "Rambo (First Blood)", "The Good the Bad & the Ugly (Clint Eastwood)", "Dharam - Veer (Dhamendra)" and "The Great Gambler (Amitabh Bachchan)" again and again and again.

I must have watched those movies hundreds of times at least, especially "Rambo (First Blood)" and "The Good the Bad & the Ugly". It was so bad that by the time I was 8 I and my brothers knew the entire script of both movies by heart. There were even times we would act out Rambo (First Blood) right there in the house, with one of my brothers jumping from the wooden divider pretending he was falling from the cliff.

This was more than 25 years ago, but I still can recite the entire script of both movies off-hand. And whenever my dad is around we would all take turns reciting different parts from the scripts, laughing and reminiscing of the good old days when computers, internet and mobile phones were a dream we believed would never surface in our lifetimes.

I guess I really enjoyed my childhood days. We were always indoors and my mum would lock us in the house whenever she went out so we did what we had to have fun. I remember how two of us would lie down on the floor posing as the blue and yellow lions and one of us would pretend to be the body and head of voltron while the last guy would act as the robeast. "...form blazing sword!!! *lion roars*"

Such were good days...

Still can't stand indian movies sha, I guess it was because i overwatched them when I was young...

PhonesRe: Airtel Launches New Android Data Plan 1+1 Offer by llouis: 10:11am On Oct 11, 2014
The sad thing is roughly a year ago Airtel tells us that they are discontinuing their bbm for android service that made their network so popular. One dude here was speaking with soooo much confidence that after blocking android dudes from using the bbm internet service Airtel will be fine, that they had carried out their surveys.

Now they are literally begging us to take 4gig and 9gig data plans, what happened to their surveys?

What happened to their determination to ignore the voice of the people?

When i say nairalanders posting pics of them breaking their sim cards and burning them I knew Airtel was in for it...

They have learned the painful lesson that when consumers have a choice you cannot and must not attempt to piss them off.

There's no way I'm going near an Airtel data bundle for the next eleventeen million years. Empty N and Etisalat are just fine.

Sad thing is internet bundle plans are still very expensive in Nigeria, my bro in America says he pays like 6k for 150 gig data per month and he has never been able to finish it. The same 6k we pay for 3gig Etisalat data bundle.

I still wonder what i'd do with 150gig of data a month...lol!

I know one day sha data rates will crash, electricity will be come infinitely stable and boko haram will be a thing of the past.

Amen!
TV/MoviesRe: Opinion: My 1001 Problems With Nollywood By Sanchez01 by llouis: 2:27pm On Sep 04, 2014
Mediocrity is everywhere in our country; In our economy, government, educational institutions, religious sects, correctional facilities, music industry, so small wonder why the so called nullywood is null and void of excellence as well.

Sometimes I am tempted to believe it is a black thing, but then again the Egyptians thousands of years ago built the pyramids and other ancient wonders, invented the alphabet, mathematics, the wheel, time measurement (the sun dial) and were the greatest civilization at the time, and they were all blacks! So its not because we are blacks that we are mediocre.

I think mediocrity is the firstborn and grand father of corruption; so you see corruption can never boast of being a bastard or heir-less.

Enlightenment is the bane of mediocrity but how many of us take time to invest in our intelligence, creativity and wisdom?

The sad reality is nullywood will continue to thrive in its mediocrity for another 50 years or more, because as nigerians we are quick to drown ourselves in the pool of our mediocre achievements in our so called movie industry, deliberately ignoring the obvious and citing reasons and excuses why we cannot deliver quality movies to match the likes of hollywood and bollywood. Professionalism, creativity and the caghones to strive for excellence is lacking in the current generation of producers, directors and actors in our movie industry.

It would amaze you that the money spent on special effects for a particular scene in a hollywood movie is more expensive than one of our block buster movies. Not to mention we have no stunt men, wack sound tracks (created solely by multitracking on a Yamaha PSR 1000), wack audio & visual effects, etc at all in our movie industry.

So OP your 1001 points will not have any impact on the ogas at the top feeding nigerians with home videos of such mentally insulting scripts. They are making their money so the survival instinct they have outweighs any urge to invest in quality, academy award winning ventures.

We must tackle mediocrity first by self enlightenment; look not to our leaders religious or governmental or judiciary for most of them have failed us. Only by self illumination and imbibing of wisdom and enlightenment can we pursue excellence which would reflect in every arm of our society.

Personally I can't stand a home video. If you want me to suicide or force me into astral travel its very easy; tie me to a chair and place a home video to play in front of me, I don't need to swear by heaven, I will leave my body for you and try finding my way into another dimension, at least until Part 2 or 3 of the movie ends.
Christianity EtcScientist Who Dug Into Hell In Siberia And Recorded The Cries Of The Damned Soul by llouis(op): 1:30pm On Dec 18, 2013
I can remember hearing this story in church way back in 1992, it scared me as a child. Remembering it today found me online searching for it and here it is. Some dudes dug deep into the earth and recorded voices of people in hell screaming! The recording lasted long enough for about close to 30 seconds before the recording gear melted due to the intense heat underneath the earth.

The story went as follows:

The following article appeared in the well respected Finland newspaper, Ammenusastia

“As a communist I don’t believe in heaven or the Bible but as a scientist I now believe in hell,” said Dr. Azzacove. “Needless to say we were shocked to make such a discovery. But we know what we saw and we know what we heard. And we are absolutely convinced that we drilled through the gates of hell!“

Dr. Azzacove continued, “. . . the drill suddenly began to rotate wildly, indicating that we had reached a large empty pocket or cavern. Temperature sensors showed a dramatic increase in heat to 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit.”

“We lowered a microphone, designed to detect the sounds of plate movements down the shaft. But instead of plate movements we heard a human voice screaming in pain! At first we thought the sound was coming from our own equipment.”

“But when we made adjustments our worst suspicions were confirmed. The screams weren’t those of a single human, they were the screams of millions of humans!”

source: http://hellandheaventestimonies./2011/03/28/scientist-who-dug-into-hell-in-siberia-and-recorded-the-cries-of-the-damned-souls/

also see: http://skeptoid.com/episodes/4307

listen to the screams here: http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/sounds/sounds_from_hell.mp3

Now I have often prided myself as someone who isn't easily scared but the screams sent several chills down my spine.
And if you have ever had a revelation of hell within or outside your body like i have or you have had a near death experience, listening to it would shake you to the very core of your being.

Let this serve as a wake up call to christians and all those who believe in hell and heaven. I admonish us to strive to live lives of holiness, meeknes and love. Life is really beyond going to work, socializing and striving to succeed. For us believers we do not get saved to escape hell but to live the ZOE life and fulfil our purpose on earth. But righting ourselves with God in a bid to escape hell for some still seems a very good incentive. I guess the whole idea is to avoid this place at all cost.

Now my problem with hell is not the worms that feed on the soul, or the fire that cannot be quenced or the fact that there is no food or water or comfort, or the demons torturing lost souls; my problem with hell is it is the only place in all realms and dimensions that can carelessly boast of the TOTAL ABSENCE of the PRESENCE of GOD.

Trust me if you call on Jesus in hell, you're on your own. There's no salvation there, no absolution, no hope and nothing to look forward to...

Atheists and non believers of hell please allow us believers in YHVH (YAHWEH) a thread to ourselves this once ok?

Sorry Mr Mod, i didn't know where to place this either in the Religion or Science category. Forgive me and aid my faults.

SELAH.

Once installed and set as your default sms app you can blacklist any sms you don't like so you never get to receive annoying sms from that number again. I have been using it for 6 weeks now and i must say it performs well.
If any other annoying sms pops in you just blacklist them as well.

Meanwhile...

Christianity EtcA Thread For Those Who Need Facts To Believe In The Existence Of GOD by llouis(op): 7:35am On Aug 12, 2013
TAKE TIME TO READ. It's worth reading it. Trust me

Professor : You are a Believer in God, aren’t you, son ?
Student : Yes, sir.

Professor: So, you believe in GOD ?
Student : Absolutely, sir.

Professor : Is GOD good ?
Student : Sure.

Professor: Is GOD all powerful ?
Student : Yes.

Professor: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to GOD to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But GOD didn’t. How is this GOD good then? Hmm?
(Student was silent.)

Professor: You can’t answer, can you ? Let’s start again, young fella. Is GOD good?
Student : Yes.

Professor: Is satan good ?
Student : No.

Professor: Where does satan come from ?
Student : From … GOD …

Professor: That’s right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?
Student : Yes.

Professor: Evil is everywhere, isn’t it ? And GOD did make everything. Correct?
Student : Yes.

Professor: So who created evil ?
(Student did not answer.)

Professor: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don’t they?
Student : Yes, sir.

Professor: So, who created them ?
(Student had no answer.)

Professor: Science says you have 5 Senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son, have you ever seen GOD?
Student : No, sir.

Professor: Tell us if you have ever heard your GOD?
Student : No , sir.

Professor: Have you ever felt your GOD, tasted your GOD, smelt your GOD? Have you ever had any sensory perception of GOD for that matter?
Student : No, sir. I’m afraid I haven’t.

Professor: Yet you still believe in Him?
Student : Yes.

Professor : According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says your GOD doesn’t exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student : Nothing. I only have my faith.

Professor: Yes, faith. And that is the problem Science has.
Student : Professor, is there such a thing as heat?

Professor: Yes.
Student : And is there such a thing as cold?

Professor: Yes.
Student : No, sir. There isn’t.

(The lecture theater became very quiet with this turn of events.)

Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don’t have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can’t go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.

(There was pin-drop silence in the lecture theater.)

Student : What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?
Professor: Yes. What is night if there isn’t darkness?

Student : You’re wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light. But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and its called darkness, isn’t it? In reality, darkness isn’t. If it is, well you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn’t you?
Professor: So what is the point you are making, young man ?

Student : Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.
Professor: Flawed ? Can you explain how?

Student : Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good GOD and a bad GOD. You are viewing the concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, Science can’t even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing.

Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?

Professor: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.

Student : Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?
(The Professor shook his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument was going.)

Student : Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor. Are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?

(The class was in uproar.)

Student : Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor’s brain?

(The class broke out into laughter. )

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor’s brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?

(The room was silent. The Professor stared at the student, his face unfathomable.)

Professor: I guess you’ll have to take them on faith, son.

Student : That is it sir … Exactly ! The link between man & GOD is FAITH. That is all that keeps things alive and moving.

By the way, that student was EINSTEIN.

Those who may die as a result of the shock of the scence, as they will not have a chance to ask God for forgiveness of sin... Its sth I look forward to. Even Natgeo of DSTV channel 181 also predicted it.
This is your take i take,

My take is nothing will happen out of the norm, the ordinary and the mediocre,

If nothing happens tomorrow what should I do to you and these prophets of inevitable doom?

Christianity EtcMy Reason And Yours - Why The World Will Not End Tomorrow by llouis(op): 10:53am On Dec 20, 2012
It was 3pm, wednesday october 28, 1992. I was eleven years old, all alone in the house and in need of an absolution. We were told an asteriod was going to hit the earth and create a tidal wave several hundred metres high which would destroy the world. At that age I didn't really know much about asteroids and tidal waves (armaggedon was at least minus 8 years old), so all I understood was a rock was gonna hit the earth and we were all gonna die.

My dad was abroad studying, my mum the type of parent who believed her children were safe only if they were locked up in her "bunker" of a house or if she was with them physically, so she always took my brothers to school everyday, my sister was in FGGC, I had just written my Lagos State and G2 and was awaiting my result.

There was no facebook then, no bb or whatsapp, the internet was still learning how to walk, I didn't get my first windows 3.1 computer until a year later, there was no phone to call anyone, and there was no multichoice to know what was going on (except u had a large scale satellite like "ultima" back then). There I was, all alone in the house, waiting for a death I didn't believe I had earned at the time.

At that age I didn't fully believe the whole idea, but then again I couldn't doubt the words of the "scientist" at the time. I was young, my other name naiive, and even though I had been born again for five years already, I couldn't randomly retrieve revelations and visions from the Father's Presence like I can now (the Holy Ghost was a Hammer-house-of-horror Ghost to me, God a Deity I feared more than I loved and I didn't know much about the book of revelations {it always scared me shitless at the time}).

So what did I do? I took me a broom and swept the entire house, and after picking up the broken broom's pices from my finger skins with my teeth and a blade, I cleaned the rest of the house, had my bath, put on my best shirt at the time and sat down in the parlour. It was 3:55pm, and I had about 5 minutes to live.

At that age I could only process one thought at a time, which was the fact that I was gonna experience death as a result of a collision brought about by a natural occurence mankind had no control of. By 3:58 I asked God to forgive me of my sins and I closed my eyes and waited. It felt like three and a half eternites had passed when I opened my eyes again and looked at the clock; it was 4:02pm.

Then it dawned on me, like a bolt out of the blue, this unexplainable feeling, that the world wasn't going to end. I rushed out of the house like a bullet released from its prison in a magazine. Festac was different then, but as I drank in the afternoon sun and ate the breeze that graced my coconut head I knew that it had all been a hoax.

With a hiss on my lips and happiness freshly wrenced from a deep sense of foreboding I switched on the TV (somehow nepa brought light after they found out they weren't gonna end as well). If I can remember correctly muppet babies wasn't due till 4:30 on NTA 2 channel 5.

Over the past 20 years I have heard about the world ending and every time i check my spirit and get that feeling I got back then, that it is all in error. So based on this I believe the world will not end anytime soon. Of course there are other reasons but I have only stated one.

Natural disasters will continue to happen (a sad reality this is), but our world ain't coming to an end anytime soon.

You may indeed question my drawn conclusion based on my extra sensory perceptions, I love critics cos without them life would be boring and ideas would be as sovereign as GOD.

So i have told you mine, so tell us - do u think the world will end this tomorrow and if you don't I would be very much obliged to know why.

Mr moderator d way u named this thread would make everyone think obama does dis dance to deliberately embarass his daughters.
I take it u didnt do this on purpose otherwise it would mean you lied deliberately just to get more hits, hence more traffic hence better statistics and hence more sales for seun.
There are other ways to make monies other than deceiving people.

Think about this the moment you decide to hid this post; any wealth gotten through deception can never be sustained by calculated, honest spendings. (If you actually did dis on purpose and if you didnt then the honour is yours and wrongly casted aspersions {of which i humbly apologise} are mine)

On the internet its like this:
If you pay for a product it becomes yours, but
If its free and you register for it, you become the product.

In the light of this i don't understand why everyone is so vexed about this. Any social platform like yahoo, facebook, instagram or whoever that allows you to register and run things for free has the right to sell and share info on u to governments or companies that are sourcing for such.

U just wait till 2015 when u start getting annoying text messages to vote for who and who and then you will realize that the same things been done here in naija as well, so b careful the kind of info you put online, else your so called private life is being monitored by one agency or another.

Facebook is out to acquire whatsapp, when this happens i guess bb wud probably b the only safe way to communicate, since it aint free.

I am born of water and of the Spirit.

This is what makes me a child of the Father.
It is not about studying the bible or praying that makes you a christian.
You study the word to know the mind (will) of God and you pray to make God's will manifest physically in your life.

Its like saying you are your parents son because you went to the university, it doesnt follow.
RomanceRe: How Many Times Has Your Heart Been Broken? by llouis: 12:57am On Dec 11, 2012
At least 16 times from 13 different girls over the past 13 years, somehow i was foolish to let two break my heart twice.
We can't help who we fall in love with, but i bruise easily and heal very very slowly, so with each heart break i found myself with another lady in a foolish attempt to heal by developing new feelings for her.
I guess i got hurt so many times cos i didn't prioritize, i didn't know the ways of the feminine psyche and i surely didn't know that an unsuccessful man can never get a woman.

Funny thing was the Holy Spirit warned me that if i ever made love my priority no lady would stay with me for long and back then i made a bet with Him to see who would have the last laugh,
As a teenager i could only process one possible outcome of my calculated acts of foolishness at a time so it was only 2yrs back i decided to place Him as my numbers 1-3 in my priority list.

Now am getting married in 2months time to the most amazing lady on this milky way, our meeting was divine and am beginning to wonder how my life would have turned out if i had put Him first back then in '99...

I guess we get heartbroken only when we allow ourselves to be led by the the foolishness of our desires and not by the Hand of He who sees all possible futures and knows our hearts intents and thoughts.

I know they are good but are they really that good? 6 times in a row?
What are AIT and Silver Bird doing na?

Kudos to them but they should up their game cos internationally Am not sure they register when compared to the likes of BBC, CNN, Al Jazerra, but then again, nigerians generally love to celebrate themselves. We tend to be so backward at times that what we perceive as an achievement is usually perceived by the international community as mediocrity.

I can still remember NTA 2 channel 5 back in the days of 1989 when i couldn't wait till 4pm to turn on the tv and watch voltron or muppet babies or dempsey and makepiece at 11:15 pm after the news, half a nigerian lifetime later we are all engrossed in cable tv as our standard of quality enter and infotainment, whilst our local stations continue to bathe each other in a pool of their own mediocrity.

"Never question a woman about her past" is an advice i often hear, i guess its times like this we see the need for transparency in relationships.

But from the woman's point of view, she (he) felt if she told him he won't have ever considered marrying her, so she lied,
how she thought she would keep hiding the truth for the remaining half of forever is what bugs me.

Scenarios like this are common in most relationships that age with time as the men begin to notice changes in the woman's physical anatomy they didn't sign up for decades earlier, possibly due to the natural ageing effect, side effects of chemicals women use to look less ugly or slow down the ageing process, or ageing as a result of emotional and phyical stress inflicted on the poor lady by the man over the years (though this scenario is on an infinitely grander scale).

Solution?
If he truly loves her and not her physical construct (body) which she uses to interact with her physical environment he shudn't let her go so easily, of course he's very hurt and feels betrayed but i believe remorse and repentance on her part and forgiveness on his can go a long way.

I'm not campaigning for sex before marriage or a very detailed investigation into the background of the would be spouse but it would help avoid tragedies like these.

That was how one of my friends married a lady only to discover on their wedding night that she had a male organ.
What a way to begin a honeymoon.

BB will soon be extinct, like how the computer fazed out the typewriter, or how the disc man fazed out the walkman, its only a matter of time.

Technologies come and go, at one time we used floppy diskettes on our computers, then zip drives, then flash drives, then external disks and now we have solid states.

The time will come in the near future that data rates in nigeria will crash, at that time bb wud cease to exist. Its time has come and gone, we need to embrace new technology to keep up with the changing times.

Truth be told, RIM is fighting a war it knows it can no longer win. When everything goes sideways they will fold up and count their losses. Nigeria is way to small to keep them running.
By then Apple would have developed cheaper products like its ipad mini and samsung also would follow suit.

In another 5 years or less apps like whatsapp would replace bbm and we would all come back to this thread to reminisce the days when bb was a status symbol
RomanceRe: Are Girls Afraid To Be Seen Without Makeup? by llouis: 2:19pm On Oct 15, 2012
Yes they are!

A lot of ladies believe they have nothing to offer their male counterparts and the world at large in terms of inner beauty, enlightenment, grace and humour, so what do they do?

They make up their exterior casing, sometimes to foolish extremeties, all in a bid to GIVE AND IMPRESSION OF A BEAUTY THEY BELIEVE THEY DO NOT SO NATURALLY POSSESS, hoping against hope that a man will fall in love with their polished, pancaked, oiled and herbally or surgically enhanced physical casings.

Knowing their greatest fear is a lack of acceptance, and their greatest enemy is the natural phenomenon called aging, i guess make up and cosmetry is the choice most fish brains have left in order to preserve a physical beauty that wrinkles with the passage of time.

Then ones who possess a forbidden level of enlightenment know that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and in a world beriddled by darkness, a woman's enLIGHTenment is their most sought-out feature, not their yansh that would develop flabs, cellulite and folds or their breasts that would sag faster than NEPA cables on a hot april afternoon.

CrimeMy Encounter With Social Media (BBM) by llouis(op): 11:08pm On Sep 04, 2012
A MUST READ FOR ALL LADIES

I read a touching, pathetic experience on one a blog, so i thought i should share it with you guys, it's about the horrifying experience of 8 girls in the hand of 8 devilish men, its a must read for all ladies out there.

"Hi, I am Tonia (not real name), a girl who has fears, beliefs, reservations and just your regular typical Nigerian girl. This past few weeks has been one hell of a game for me. I have really been unsettled and I thought I share this story with you.

"When Cynthia (the lady killed in the hotel room in Festac, Lagos) surfaced on the internet and various news media, I was scared and it brought back a whole lot of memories to me and also served as and eye opener. Many people castigated and criticised Cynthia (may her gentle soul rest in peace), but my point is, it could have been anybody, anybody at all.

"We have met people through various social media. Some have ended up well, some have not but with painful memories. To cut the long story short, let me kindly share with you my encounter with social media especially the very popular Blackberry Messenger (BBM).

"I am a graduate and currently serving in Kaduna. I could have runced it, but I needed somewhere to clear my head and forget about my ugly encounter. Here is my story.

"I happened to have a married man as a contact on my BBM. He had been asking me out for over six months and I refused to date him. As time went on, he invited me clubbing with him when his wife was outside the country, and I went with him all night. We spent most of the night at Swe bar, Lagos.

"I also met his clique of friends, married as well with their various mistresses. We had 'mad' fun. After all the clubbing and drinking, he lodged me in a hotel somewhere in Obalende. I felt sort of safe with him. We did not have sex, but he made sweet love to me and touched me in places I had never ever imagined.

"He kissed me passionately but guess what? He did not have sex with me. We did all sorts but there was no penetration. So, to an extent, I trusted he was a good person to be around with. I did not know that it was all part of the plan.

"He gave me N10,000 and put me in a cab to go home the next morning. We kept talking and chatting and sending naked pictures to each other and he told me naughty things of how he wanted to whisper things in my ear, I blushed. We didn't see for two weeks and that was because his wife just came back from Turkey.

"One faithful evening, he pinged me that he was organising a beach party/boat cruise and that he would love for me to be his date and that he wanted to open a BBM chat, as a medium for his friends and my friends to interact. I was excited about it, I just wanted to have fun. I was able to get five of my very hot friends.

"The BBM group opened and we got chatting. I also realise that majority of them were married and working in reputable firms. It was fun and we didn't mind if they were married, we just wanted to have fun, as well as some other girls apart from my friends in the group.

"We chatted exclusively, sent pictures to the BBM group to introduce ourselves, and we had opened group conversations pending the beach party. And as excited as we were, we went shoping for nice sexy beach wears.

"The D-day finally came, we all assembled at the Lagos Island Boat Club. I was wowed because it was a high class party. We were cruising in a boat loaded with goodies drinks and hot babes, and as well 'MARRIED MEN'. I did not care, I just said in my mind that I would not roll with married men anymore after this, that for now, all I wanted to do was to catch some fun. After all, I wasn't paying bills.

"We got there, it was a private beach resort. Most of the beach facilities I got to see there were owned by multinational companies. We got out of the boat, and went to where we were partying. It was a duplex made with wood. It was a very nice setting.

"I felt comfortable because it even had a fence around it separating it from other beach houses around. So, there was privacy and of course bouncers (heavy looking guys) guarding the place. I said to myself, this must be heaven, I must be dreaming.

"Anyways, we felt free with each other because we had been chatting. It was 5:30pm and the party just started. We had drinks flowing from the private bar tender which happens to be owned by one of the men in the group. Reality struck when I realised that I was feeling dizzy and feeling really funny and light headed. Not only me, but other girls around me too noticed there was something strange about it.

"I was also feeling Hot as hell! I had been drugged. They monitored us and when they knew the drug had really gone deep into our system, they moved us up into the main beach house. I could still see faces, but was too weak and Hot to react.

"Mr B, the man who took me clubbing, carried me in his hands like a sacrifice and put me down on the floor just as other men also did with their girls. We were eight in numbers; 8 girls, 8 guys, and they all stripped us down and had sex with us.

"I enjoyed it a bit because I was Hot. It was a mixed feeling because I cried, I moaned, but I did not know how many times he came into me. He pounded me hard. I was dizzy, but he grabbed me with force. All I could notice was the wedding ring on his finger. I thought of how wicked and miserable some married can be. How inhuman and heartless they could be.

"All of them took turns in switching partners and slept with all of us. I passed out. That was the last thing I could remember. I felt water poured on me. I noticed all the other girls around me too were half naked and some stark naked.

"We spent the night at the beach, but the men were no where to be found. I looked round me and all I could see was packs of used condoms. I ran to pick my cloths and possibly raise an alarm. I got dressed, found my phone with an envelope. It contained N16,000 and a note asking us to take N2000 each for transport. Tears of anger and rage filled my eyes and the girls around me as well.

"We were drugged and used like tissue paper. I grabbed my phone and noticed a ping came in. I checked my phone and I noticed the BBM group had been deleted, and a message via BBM from MR B came in. He threatened me that if I say a word to anyone, I would regret it.

"I told him he was a bastard, and he said try it. A picture came in, several pictures. In fact, they were pictures of us being naked on the floor. Pictures of the humiliating us but they blurred the faces of the men. In total, I got 20 pictures. I was not myself for a month.

"I went back to school, I had no one to talk to. The rest of the semester was hell for me. My CGPA dropped drastically. It was the worst out of the worst result I ever had.

"Till today, my friends and I have not discussed this with anyone, but all I could do when I heard of Cynthia's story was to narrate my own ordeal anonymously and spread the news, the word, and pray they see it and changed their ways.

"I am now born again. I have given my life to Christ. I fear men so much that I cannot even move close to them. I still have nightmares, but with time, God will strengthen me and I will move on. My advice to single ladies out there is, do not be desperate for fun. Pray to God to open your eyes of understanding, and pray hard. He who kneels before God will stand before kings and queens.

"To all married women, pray hard to God to intervene in your marriages and turn your husbands from bad habits to and bad friends. As for me, I do not think I ever want to get married or date a man again. That chapter has been closed for good in my life.

Please, do not ignore my mail. Please post it. There are a lot of things we ladies need to learn including you. Please post it on your blog and save a soul. It could be your friend, sister, cousin, neighbour.

"God bless you as you pass it on. To all readers, I do not care if you insult me or rain abuses at me. My job is to share this encounter with you and save you from any mishap. God bless you all. Amen."

Which woman broke your heart?
ROTFLMAO

*falls from coconut tree*

must a woman break my heart before i spit out hard and blunt facts?

read my posts very well, i have nothing against womanhood, they were created as help suitable for their counterparts, the improved version of man, a symbol of beauty and grace, but whilst the man is like a single core computer processor with very high RAM, able to only focus and channel all his attention on a single point in time, women are the i5's and i7 processors of today, excellent at multitasking, but have u ever used an i7 with a ram of about only 12Mb?

the result is that their 4 to 8 processors are hardly ever used efficiently, they are excellent at multi-tasking but most of them never really task their minds beyond anything out of the mediocre, making an enlightened, intelligent, emotionally mature woman very uncommon in the mediocrity that is our world today.

we men are born brain dead, unable to perfectly harness the emotional sides of our brain from early childhood ages, due to death of our brain cells responsible for connecting to our emotional sides, thus, we are naturally hard wired to be logical, its not that we are refusing to be emotional; some of us just can't be.

one would think that the dual core processor (brained) ladies with the rare ability to use both sides of their brains would be intellectual colossi to reckon with, but the opposite is actually the case, what we often come across are emotional junkies, who would do almost anything to excite their epileptic emotions, in the meantime covering their physical casings with cosmetics simultaneously baring the same casings all in a bid to give the world an impression of a beauty they do not so naturally possess, believing that since they have nothing upstairs or inside to offer the world, men might as well appreciate what they have downstairs (their physical casing),

enlightened, mentally mature women i believe are rarer than the white rose, God help us men who haven't found already to find such ones even in their childhood years and patiently await their maturing to full bloom,

in a bid to seek them out, i found out years back that not all questions can be answered by google.

guy don't get it twisted; women do love challenges, but only those that involve emotional excitation.

a woman would rather engage in mediocre gossip and talk, or soap operas or movies that would tickle her fantasy; they have refused to make use of the logical side of their brains,

i wont say they are dull naturally, but i would say for not tasking their brains well enough they are dulling!!!

please don't be disappointed, God created women with the rare ability to talk faster than they can think, the serpent spoke 14 words in the garden of eden and eve answered with 42 words, what do u make of that?

You can't expect women to want to develop their intellectual abilities in a country where men are scared of female intellectuals and marriage is considered a life and death issue.
so o, for your mind u don give correct eXcuse why women cannot and will not program abi?

fish-brains would rather use their time exhibiting all the qualites of a fish instead of tasking their brains manipulating a programming language.
