Nigeria being a signatory to the UN is ineffective cos Nigeria can decide to walk out at anytime . The UN really does not have any power to do anything and no, the UN will not come and conduct an referendum in Nigeria as it will set up precedence for it to be done to other member states.

Until Nigeria walks out but for now they should comply with all the terms and conditions of being a signatory to UN.
