@ Joezik, Formatting my system! That sounds scary. Is it similar to loosing all your data similar to when you format a flash drive etc. But if that is the only option to saving my system its ok by me. Don't have a budget for a new PC now. How does one go about this formatting please.

THE winner of a bizarre cockroach-eating competition has died after scoffing dozens of the live insects and worms.

Edward Archbold became ill and collapsed at the pet shop where the contest took place.

Tragic video footage shows Mr Archbold just moments before as he forced the roaches down his mouth to win the competition.

The 32-year-old won a python – which he planned to sell to pal - for landing the title on Friday.

Another 30 people competed in the event in Deerfield Beach, Florida. None of the other contestants became ill afterwards.

Reptile store owner Ben Siegel, who ran the contest, said: "We feel terribly awful. He looked like he just wanted to show off and was very nice.”

Mr Siegel added that Mr Archbold did not appear to be ill before the competition

The Governor of Bauchi State, Malam Isa Yuguda, stunned journalists at the Government House, Bauchi, on Thursday when he said he too was attacked as a member of the National Youth Service Corps in Ibadan.

Yuguda reasoned that the corps members, who were murdered last week in the state, only fulfilled their destinies.

Addressing journalists after casting his vote at Shadawanka Primary School, the governor blamed the Independent National Electoral Commission for not providing adequate security for the corps members.

Yuguda was reacting to a question that bordered on the brutal murder of non-indigenes, including at least nine corps members, in his domain when rioters overran the state after President Goodluck Jonathan was declared winner of the presidential election. Over 50 people were reportedly killed during the violence while 90 churches were also burnt.

He said, “They (corps members) were destined to experience what they experienced. Nobody can run away from destiny. When they were serving me, they were the happiest in Nigeria.
“Immediately I handed them over to INEC, it was the responsibility of INEC to protect them. They were not the only ones affected. My own house was burnt; they almost lynched my first son. It is part of their destiny. I was also attacked as a corps member in Ibadan in 1979.

“They were attacked on the services of INEC.”
The governor, who said what happened should not be seen as a reflection of the state, declared that the state should be commended for having the best brains in security management.

He described the development as unfortunate, saying the victims were serving the nation during the attack.

But what happened in Bauchi is far less than what happened in some other states. What happened in Bauchi only lasted for one day

A three-year-old boy from China is so overweight, even his mum can't lift him.

At 9st 6lb, the toddler is around five times the normal weight of a boy of the same age.

When Lu Hao was born in Dashan, Guandong Province, he weighed just 5.7 lbs. But from the age of three months, he started to rapidly gain weight.

Now the toddler can eat as much as an adult and throws tantrums when food is not forthcoming.

His father Lu Yuncheng said: "His appetite is so good that for a meal he can eat three big bowls of rice, even more than I and his mother."

"We have to let him be as if we don't feed him he will cry non-stop," said his mother, Chen Yuan.

Last year alone, the toddler managed to gain one and a half stone in weight, the Daily Mail reported.

As well as being dangerously overweight, Lu Hao is also unusually tall for his age. A specialist at the Guandong Children's Hospital suggested the boy's weight gain may be due to a hormonal disorder.

Whatever the cause, the three-year-old is already at risk of developing serious obesity-related health problems, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, heart disease, some types of cancer and type 2 diabetes.

Recent figures from 2009-10 show that nearly one in four children are either overweight or obese when they start school in England, and one in three are by the time they leave primary school.

In 2007, the government Foresight report predicted that 25 per cent of children in the UK would be obese by 2050, unless action was taken.
