Reminds me of a real life experience of House of Rep member Akin Alabi and former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry. Akin saw him in Europe at a bar and tried to go say hi, the response he got was very cold and unfriendly.

Contrast this with what happened last year when Tony Elumelu was in the same room and Thierry Henry greeted in pidgin, which most people assume he learned from Kanu Nwankwo.

Rather than facing embarrassment especially when we were not scheduled to meet, I avoid such situations.

Sometimes not all of them even want the fame and when they are outdoors they want to live normal lives just like everyone. Just getting into their space might be irritating to them.

I'm curious because I know it isn't really part of Nigerian culture, but I feel in the past it might have been. But here goes the question: do you have a thermometer at home or at the office? I'm talking about a wall thermometer for measuring atmospheric temperature or room temperature.

It isn't really important in Nigeria because we live in a tropical climate, but in temperate regions people pay attention to the temperature.

I just want to find out if other people have similar questions, and before you ask, let me say this, I don't trust Google to be accurate because they most likely use estimates and the reality could be different.

Google says it is 22 C in my location this morning as at 9 am. It feels cooler than this. No fans no AC switched on, but it feels so cold.

What is the temperature in your area?
