We would not appreciate Buhari until after his death. Awolowo tried to be president of this country. He was denied by Obasanjo and co. He is now being applauded as the best president Nigeria never had. If we measure presidential candidates in the last conducted elections by sincerity of purpose, Buhari stands out of the crowd. Anyway we have left the future of this country in the hands of sheer Goodluck who is full of Patience. God help Nigeria. |
Dont be deceived by this senseless politicians uterances. He is just trying to appease Boko Haram. |
We need revolution in this country. Rawlings was fair to Ghanians and the country is now on the course of development. People whose turn it would be in 2015 to loot are already warming up. We need to say know. We need it now !! more than ever. The people holding this country to ransome are numbered. We can take care of all of them Lets arrest all of them and put them in a location where they will be asked questions about the money in their covers. We can raise billions of dollars from these thieves in one month. Then we start from there. W |
My argument has being that we need to be practical in order to solve the problem we have in Nigeria. Another season of loothing has started and no one is doing anything. The day we have common resolution to stop this nonsense is the day we will begin to solve our problems. We need to start from somewhere. People stealing are worse than Boko Haram. Look at the statistics of youth that are jobless in this country. The money that is surposed to be used for the common benefit is being conered by some some people. Dimeji and his group were share 43 Billion in less than one year when so many are not sure of three square meals. We are more than docile in this country as though we have been tamed. We need action. If you think Jonathan will do anything you will be living in the fools paradise My people!!!! . This is a clarion call!! Lets take up this challenge. Our country has earned free money from oil for more than 30 years and yet we do not have basic amenities. A jobless neighbour of mine died yesterday after a brief illness. When i enquired i was told that he did not go to the hospital because he did not have any money to even transport himself to the hospital. A graduate after 7 years of graduation. Ghana is now better than Nigeria. I beg something has to be done fast. We can no longer wait for the government. God bless Nigeria. |
I have forgiven him--he is dead. |
We have lost another four years. I expect more names like Omisore, Olubunmi ette,Iyabo Obasanjo, Bode George etc on that list so that we can have a complete bunch of thieves. If we ever have another chance of choosing leaders, we will be more scientific and reason with our heads than by being sentimental. For now, We wait on goodluck . |
@lawyer, You are the man of the moment. Good information |
@ Bensonite, You are as myopic as your Jonathan. Continue to defend him as though we dont see how governance is done in other nations. If Senate is on recess, the country should to sleep. |
I dont know why people are complaining. People claimed to have voted Jonathan not PDP and I am yet to see sence in that statement. Jonathan is known to have weak disposition before he emerged as acting president. Those who are enlightened in this forum voted him based on ethnic and other reasons. Why blame the guy when you asked a man who is so myopic and clueless on governance to lead the country. I am sorry for this country. He is aready making arrangement to open 400 schools for the Almajirs in the North to appease Boko Haram. That was announced offiially a day after the bomb blast. He is always fond of begging people to stop beating him when he has his own hands. This traits he has displayed right from childhood(confirmed information) |
Rokiatu, Nanya and Upendo 98 continue to impress me in NL. Honestly, I have been looking for the opportunity to convey my message to some ladies in NL about their impressive use of English. I have singled them(Rokiatu, Nanya and Upendo 98) out of the pack not because we do not have other ladies who have as much proficiency of the language in NL but because they( Rokiatu, Nanya and Upendo 98) all consent to the fact that being a single father should not attract repulsion from ladies. You have all made my day. Continue to wrap and twine the language for our pleasurable consumption. I enjoy good expressions. |
Much said concerning this. Please we must start from somewhere. This guy in JB must be purnished: He must not get away with it and that will send signals to others. I am really sad. |
Germans are like that. Everyone should endeavor to read about what they did to the Jews during Hitler time. If you cannot find any document on the subject, get the Movie "Escape from Sobibor". They did that in Germany to the Jews and should not be allowed to happen in Nigera. Having said that and after much contributions from people on this , I think we need to begin to use this forum to find way of solving this type of problem. These idiots should not be abusing us on our own soill without any fear of the consequence of such behavior. That guy lives in Nigeria uses our roads etc. I am of the opinion that he should be dealt with directly. |
AWOLOWO mentioned in the year 1947 that Nigeria is not a nation but a mere geographical expression. We are gradually coming to terms with that reality. The earlier we realised this truth, the better for all of us. BOKO HARAM and MEND will die natural deaths if Northern Nigeria should go seperately as a country. Then peole will no longer die as a result of election protest or bomb blast. Regards |
Please where in Ikorodu is the first item(2 plots on dwarf fence). I reside in Ikorodu and conversant with the area. This information is needed urgently |
I am sure there are still more things she had lied to you about. A lier is a lier and she will continue to lie even after getting married to you. I am sayng this based on my own experience. The woman i am married to lied to me about her age when we were courting.I did not get to know until after our marriage. She is my wife today and she still tell lies. I know your situation may not be exactly the same as mine since we are talking about diffrent individuals here. My advice is that you tell her how disappointed you are just to stop her from the habit and pray she repents. |
PDP can continue with the sharing formula. Bankole and others in lower chamber shared 43 billions between August 2010 and April 2011 while national infrastrutures continue to decay. Only God knows what was shared in the upper chamber and other sectors. This is governance per excellence. PDP , have more happy sharing tenure in advance. |

It is time we had a national conference to discuss issues that bothers on violence and killings of innocent souls in this country. This is to prevent re-occurence of this kind of henious crime that has been taken for granted in the northern part of the country. 1966 Between July and October, northern mobs kill thousands of southerners, mostly Igbos, forcing hundreds of thousands to flee back to safety in the south. 1980 In December, confrontation between Maitatsine (a fundamentalist Muslim group) and police at a rally in Kano sparks massive, weeks-long rioting, leaving many hundreds dead and spreading to other states. Despite leader’s death in the initial riots, sporadic violence continues for several years. 1982 The Archbishop of Canterbury lays the foundation stone of an Anglican church in Kano. 44 people are killed following violent protests by Muslim Students Society. 1987 Dispute between trainee teachers in Kafanchan over a Christian sermon descends into violence. 1991 In October, pending visit of German revivalist Reinhard Bonnke at behest of Christian Association of Nigeria triggers rioting in which Muslims kill more than 200 mostly southern Christians and burn over twenty churches. 2000 Christian opposition to Sharia leads to Christian-Muslim clashes, mainly in Kaduna and Kano, that cause hundreds of deaths. 2001 In September, religious violence after Muslim prayers in Jos kills at least 1,000. 2002 In February, some 100 people are killed in Lagos in clashes between Hausas from mainly Islamic north and ethnic Yorubas from predominantly Christian south west. 2002 In November, more than 200 people die in four days of rioting, mainly in Kaduna, stoked by Muslim fury over the Miss World beauty pageant planned for December. The event is relocated to the UK. 2004 Clash between “Nigerian Taliban” and police in Borno state results in dozens of deaths. In May, state of emergency is declared in the central Plateau state after more than 200 Muslims are killed in Yelwa in attacks by Christian militia; revenge attacks are launched by Muslim youths in Kano. 2006 In February, more than 100 people are killed when a Muslim protest against Danish cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad runs out of control. Violence begins in Maiduguri and retaliatory attacks in southern city of Onitsha. 2008 In November, at least 200 people are killed during clashes between Christians and Muslims in the town of Jos over disputed local government election. 2009 In July, hundreds die in Maiduguri, after Boko Haram Islamist movement launches a campaign of violence. Security forces storm its stronghold and kill the movement’s leader on 30 July. More than 50 killed and over 100 arrested in operation. In December, at least 40 people are killed in clashes between security forces and members of an Islamic sect armed with machetes in the northern city of Bauchi. 2010 In January, at least 149 people are killed during two days of violence between Christian and Muslim gangs in Jos. In March, more than 120 people are killed in clashes between Muslims and Christians in Jos. In September, Boko Haram free over 700 prisoners, including 150 of its members, in dramatic prison break in Bauchi. In October, Boko Haram commits a series of assassinations in Maiduguri. Regards |
To be very objective, we see clearly that Jonathan's led government is not taking us anywhere in this country. I was happy when he emerged president after the demise of Late Umaru Yar'dua style shows clearly that he is just an errand boy representing the powerful cabal that has taken this country to ransome. He romances all the people that have contributed one way or the other to the woes of this country. Diepreye Alamieyeseigha is a very popular face in Aso Rock today. PDP celebrated the release of Bode George thereby bringing corruption to the fore and encouraging the would be corrupt leaders to join in the crusade. If we cannot protest like Tunisians and Egyptians, we should be able to express our concerns about this country through vote. A week after Bode George was released from prison, he attended PDP rally at TBS and was conspicously seated by the president. These people are cheating us and ruining the lifes of our common country-men to our face without any prick of conscience. I think we need to see this election as a way of throwing out these people in very clear terms. Moreover, I do not belong to any political party as i am presenting my views in this piece as a common man who is concerned about Nigerian leadership. Buhari is to me the best candidate among the contestants because we can expect some level of discipline. I hope people will reason with me. Regards |

CAIRO – Egypt's Hosni Mubarak resigned as president and handed control to the military on Friday after 29 years in power, bowing to a historic 18-day wave of pro-democracy demonstrations by hundreds of thousands. "The people ousted the president," chanted a crowd of tens of thousands outside his presidential palace in Cairo. Several hundred thousand protesters massed in Cairo's central Tahrir Square exploded into joy, cheering and waving Egyptian flags. Fireworks, car horns and celebratory shots in the air were heard around the city of 18 million in joy after Vice President Omar Suleiman made the announcement on national TV just after nightfall. Mubarak had sought to cling to power, handing some of his authorities to Suleiman while keeping his title. But an explosion of protests Friday rejecting the move appeared to have pushed the military into forcing him out completely. Hundreds of thousands marched throughout the day in cities across the country as soliders stood by, besieging his palace in Cairo and Alexandria and the state TV building. A governor of a southern province was forced to flee to safety in the face of protests there. It was the biggest day of protests yet in the upheaval that began Jan. 25, growing from youth activists working on the Internet into a mass movement that tapped into widespread discontent with Mubarak's authoritarian lock on power, corruption, economic woes and widespread disparities between rich and poor. "In these grave circumstances that the country is passing through, President Hosni Mubarak has decided to leave his position as president of the republic," a grim-looking Suleiman said. "He has mandated the Armed Forces Supreme Council to run the state. God is our protector and succor." Nobel Peace laureate Mohammed ElBaradei, whose young suporters were among the organizers of the protest movement, told The Associated Press, "This is the greatest day of my life." "The country has been liberated after decades of repression," he said adding that he expects a "beautiful" transition of power. Outside Mubarak's Oruba Palace in northern Cairo, women on balconies ululated with the joyous tongue-trilling used to mark weddings and births. |
An unwieldy crowd of 276 persons is seeking Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) tickets for 44 state and National Assembly (NASS) slots in Anambra, in contrast to Lagos where the coast cleared on Wednesday for Governor Babatunde Fashola to vie for a second term, ending months of bickering between him and his predecessor, Bola Tinubu. Fashola is banking on the applause for his upgrade of facilities in the city centre, and in the nooks and crannies, as well as a security apparatus that has driven hardline criminals out of town. Tinubu on Wednesday publicly raised the hands of Fashola, saying, “I have endorsed him for second term. He has done us proud, he has set a standard of governance for others to emulate.” He made the declaration at the ACN National Executive Council (NEC) meeting at the party’s secretariat on ACME Road, Ikeja, witnessed by a large crowd that burst into a wild jubilation. Tinubu said the talk of his estrangement with Fashola was masterminded by “political rodents and enemies who did not know how I knew him.” He scored his former Chief of Staff 85 per cent on his performance as Governor in the past four years, reiterating that Fashola remains the best man for the job. “He is my son,” Tinubu maintained, adding: “Those who were peddling the rumour did not know how I knew him, and what endeared him to me. “The agents of destruction, political rodents, enemies, and scavengers in the corridors of power who want to continue to loot state funds without working to deliver dividends of democracy. “They said I was jealous of his achievements and all sort of things. If you have a son who has surpassed your records you celebrate him. I am the pathfinder. He is the Navigator. I am the one that identified the talent.” Tinubu was flanked by other party chieftains, such as Lagos ACN Chairman, Henry Ajomale, Senator Olorunimbe Mamora, Senator Ganiyu Solomon, Senator Muniru Muse, Tajudeen Olusi, Bush Alebiosu, and James Odumbaku. Ajomale said the loss of the Ikorodu bye-election was a miscalculation, stressing that the response on Wednesday showed that Fashola is the popular choice. Mamora added: “You can see that this was a one item agenda – to announce the party’s endorsement of Fashola. Take note of our leader’s words. He said: ‘in consultation with all the leaders across the length and breadth of the state. “Now you can see the excitement in the air; the people are happy at the announcement, and that says it all; the peoples’s choice has been endorsed.” In Anambra, a total 276 persons have indicated interest in ACN tickets for 44 state and National Assembly seats. Some 120 of them are defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP) and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). |
Please how much will you clear Honda accord 2008 and Toyota Camry 2008 Models. How do i get in touch with you for further discussions? |
The toll suspension is as a result of the coming elections. Fashola administration does not understand what ordinary people feels in Lagos. This suspension is as a result of the the signal they got in Ikorodu after losing to PDP. Lagos government wants to embark on good projects without spending money. Just like a father who wants his son to have harvard education without paying a dime. That is why Lagos state government displaced residents along Orile -Badagry without readiness to pay compensation and i understand that another one to Ikorodu which will pierce through Isheri and Magodo estates to some villages along that axis is on the way. Another massive displacement is on the way along this route and people who reside in these areas should be prepared. Do not get me wrong because I am not against the projects of bringing development to the people and I know road construction/maintenance will reduce the suffering of lagosian in traffic and accelerate development along the routes. My argument however is that if these lordable projects are to be embarked upon,it should not be designed to create another big problem of displacing people without compensation. I am happy that 2011 elections is by the corner, we will see surprises in Lagos because the majority of the electorates who vote during elections are very bitter. Demolisions in some part of Lagos has stopped now because of the coming elections and would start as soon as Fashola is elected for the second term. If the demolissions are justifiable why stop now to continue later. We shall all see, sooner or later. |
