Court to stop Big Brother Naija from airing in Nigeria due to immoralities from Housemates

A Nigerian father and medical doctor who is frustrated that his efforts in bringing up his children in a moral way has been jeopardised with the continued broadcast of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show has filed a case against the show. In court papers exclusively obtained by LailasBlog.com, Dr Olusola Omoju is seeking an injunction that restrains broadcast of the reality show on DSTV and GoTV pending determination of the suit.

In it, Dr Olusola alleges that Multichoice introduced the Big Brother Naija channel, aired adverts for the reality shows which he says promotes indecency, immorality and obscenity and included it on his bouquet without his consent. That as a result of the inclusion in his bouquet, his family members and other dependents became avid watchers of the Big Brother Naija show and are now being influenced negatively through the continued broadcast of the show. He agrees that Multichoice usually introduces a special code to enable subscribers choose whether they want access to show or not but adds that this practice was not continued this year. In a show of craze, a man posted an advertisement of the sale of his semen on the internet. The man disclosed that each milky bag contains semen which will bring forth a dark child with clean teeth after fertilization with an egg. He stated that each bag of semen costs $40 for interested ladies.

In the photo caption, he wrote, “I got kids for sale, $40 per bag , guaranteed to be dark skinned w clean teeth.”

He made no mention of the state of his health, genetic problems, family related diseases or any other important stuff that should be disclosed.

Suleiman can only deceive gullible people

Bishop kukah went to southern Kaduna, met with the people there, saw the carnage firsthand and condemned the government for its handling of the issue. He is living peacefully at home, nobody trying to "bring him down"

But suleiman never visited southern Kaduna, he never issued an official statement to commiserate with victims, the never assisted the victims in anyway until he felt his life was in danger and in his usual self made a very inciteful statement and all of a sudden he wants us to believe he is the defender of Christianity and they want to "bring him down"

This is the summary of all i'v been saying. asuustrike2009, pls read this and digest for your own good & don't be fooled because you are the one that decided to be blind to facts being presented. Stop worshipping a pastor for the heart of a man (including your pastor) is deep. A man can be seen performing miracle in the day (which could be stage-managed) & worship the devil at night.

There is no correlation between this your analogy and the subject matter. However, I can deduce that you agree that there existed a relationship between Apostle Suleman and the ex stripper.

Why are you passing judgment already? The said alleged but her evidence aren't substantial because just posting pictures aren't enough. Since she sue him or wants to sue him, why this madness in the first place? In a sane society as acclaimed by you, she gathers evidence and then sue not going to the media for a press conference.

It seems you have to be schooled on the difference between criminal offence and morality. Stephanie Otobo's claim of promising her marriage (when it's a known fact that Apostle Suleman is legally married) and aborting her baby after impregnating her is a crime which can be contested in the law court. However, it is not a crime to have sex with a consenting adult and likewise not a crime to pay for the flights of a lady or lodge with her in a hotel neither is it a crime to buy house and car for a lady. But the issue here is morality and Christian values which the public think might have been bridged by your "man of God". It is expected that a man who calls himself a man of God should live above board- Christ-like life and be seen to do so. If your "man of God" knows what is good for him, tell him to come clean and let the devil be put to shame by providing proofs to clear his name if he's innocent and if he's not, he should confess his sins and come to Christ who is a merciful God. Attacking people and gagging his church members from speaking on the issue shows he is afraid of the truth and could be seen as been guilty.

DSS called him for questioning because of his statement was capable of causing religious war. It was an incitement and the DSS responded swiftly as the law demands. This is how it is done in a sane society. You can not incite people to kill other people and not be called to questioning.

Why didn't your team said this when this brouhaha started but only reply because of what his media team said? Who una dey deceive self, Naija or una team? .apostle Suleman is only following the footsteps of his father Late Arch bishop Benson Idahosa.The vocal man during Abacha's era .Haven't you wonder why CAN backed him when he made that statement? Do you think it was only for himself? No

By the way, what do you mean by "your team?" No body is forming a team against anyone, instead, Apostle Suleman and his "worshipers" are the one forming a team against truth.
It is common sense that if your hands are clean and your heart is pure, you will come out with proof to clear your name in any allegation but in this media case you mentioned, the Apostle Suleman decided to gag the mouth of everyone by threatening them. That is not possible! Please tell him to repent that God loves him.

Something tells me that car was set ablazed. It was orchestrated to cover up the identity of the person who bought her the car to prevent Daniella Okeke's saga with Apostle Suleman...

I had always thought I was the only one who noticed it and this has always been my view, Pastors in Nigeria only speak out when there is a threat against their church or person. They do not speak for the church or Christians in Nigeria.

Pastor Adeboye only spoke out against a particular law and the state's interference in church affairs just because it affected his position as RCCG overseer, the southern kaduna crisis happened around this time and he never said a word about this. Even Bishop Oyedepo only spoke out when there was threat to attack his church in the north.

Anyway I feel its the duty of CAN or PFN to always speak for the body of Christ or the church in Nigeria as this will bring some decency and sanity into our polity. Let our pastors stay clear of politics in Nigeria for their own good and for our good too.

@The bolded, this is how it ought to be. The Christian body should always speak for the interest of all Christians in Nigeria and try to foster peace at all times, but how will that be possible since CAN/PFN are highly politicized as it is now

I have been hearing speeches and reading different articles that Apostle Suleman was the only man of God that spoke against the Fulani herdsmen that's the reason he's been politically witch-hunted now. To get the record straight before this lie is being misconstrued to be truth. If you watch the video embedded below where he asked his security to kill any Fulani herdsman found around him or near his church, you will notice that he was only concerned about his life. How do I mean? Watch the video in the first one minute, he narrated a story of a call he received of an imminent attack on him by Fulani herdsmen which made him to make that statement calling for the killing of any herdsman found around him. This means that, if he had never received that information against his life, he would have never bothered about the lives of hundreds of Christians lost in Southern Kaduna.
This killings have been going on in Southern Kaduna since 80's and no renowned pastor outside Kaduna has come out boldly to condemn it. Why is it that Apostle Suleman spoke against this killing ONLY when his life was alleged to be in danger? Does it mean that the lives of other Christians in Southern Kaduna are worthless to be fought for?
Therefore, it is worthy of note to put the record straight that, Apostle Johnson Suleman called for the killing of Fulani herdsmen because he was ONLY concerned about his life and not the lives Christians in Southern Kaduna who have been killed by these herdsmen since 80's.
