Jose Mourinho has said that Neymar must achieve success with Brazil, before he can be compared with Pele. Neymar has already staked a claim to being one of the best players in the world, having dominated Ligue 1 with Paris Saint-Germain when healthy and achieved success at Barcelona. However, the Brazil forward’s exploits on the international stage, have not matched his domestic success. Though he has taken home Olympic Gold medal and triumphed in the Confederations Cup, success in the Copa America and World Cup have eluded him. Neymar was recently named by Placar as the country’s greatest player since Pele, drawing criticism as it ignored other Selecao greats like Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Zico and Ronaldinho. Asked by DAZN about the controversy, Mourinho said: “Neymar is a fantastic talent and nobody can doubt that. “He came to Europe and won immediately. “But I think they forgot players that were the best of the world at some point, such as Ronaldo and Rivaldo, just citing two, and I could remember more. They also came to Europe and were fantastic, but beyond that, they passed through this special situation in a country’s life that is succeeding on the international level. “Neymar will keep fighting to be on Europe’s elite, where he already is, and this [winning with Brazil] will continue to be a dream for him.” Gist via :- https://nairatrend.com.ng/jose-mourinho-reveals-what-neymar-must-do-to-be-better-than-pele/

Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 elections has re-affirmed his commitment to restructuring if elected on February 16. Mr Abubakar gave the assurance while addressing thousands of party faithful at a presidential rally at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital on Monday. The PDP presidential candidate who was accompanied by his running mate, Peter Obi, and other leaders of the party promised to uphold the rule of law. “If you (masses) elect PDP and Atiku into office; I will restructure Niger Delta and all other parts of the country. We must restructure the country. “Secondly, after the Obasanjo/Atiku administration started the East West highway project; till today it has not been completed. “It has not been completed because we did not vote PDP to continue in power in 2015. The project has been haunted till today. We are going to complete it, if voted into power,” he assured. Okowa Campaign AD Mr Abubakar said his administration would complete the dredging of old Port Harcourt and Onne sea ports if he wins February 16 presidential polls. According to him, Rivers state, Niger Delta and South-South had been abandoned by the administration since 2015, notwithstanding being the economic hub of the country. “Every development that the people of South-South, Niger Delta and Rivers have gotten was done by PDP-led governments. The roads, schools, hospitals and water, among others were provided by PDP. “I assure you that I will protect the constitution, protect separation of powers and will not interfere with the National Assembly and Judiciary because I believe in checks and balances. “My administration will uphold rule of law and will never allow the rule of law to be trampled by anybody,” he promised. Also speaking, former President Goodluck Jonathan called on the people of the state to come out enmass to vote PDP at all levels. He said nepotism, divisiveness, discrimination, factionalism, favouritism, sectionalism and killings had now become prevalent in the country. “All of us know that things that had never been happening in this country have been happening since 2015. Nigerians can attest if the country has gone forward, backward or static. “We cannot as a nation continue to stay where we currently are. We believe the only person out of the candidates who can lead us out if this quagmire is Atiku. “If your son or daughter is qualified to become Inspector-General of Police and Chief of Army Staff, he or she will be appointed. No one will be discriminated. Atiku will lead Nigeria forward,” he said. Senate President and Director-General of Atiku Presidential Campaign, Bukola Saraki, said Mr Abubakar had experience to take the country to greater heights. He said poverty and unemployment had reached an all-time high never seen in the country since its independence in 1960. “There is poverty in the land and Nigerians are tired of poverty. The people want a man who can bring economic prosperity and that man is Atiku,” he said. On his part, PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus, assured the people of victory at the polls. He expressed optimism that Mr Abubakar would win the North Western states of Jigawa, Kebbi, Kaduna, Kano, Sokoto and Zamfara. “If you want a president that will work for 24 hours daily, a president with capacity and energy and a president who will be in charge and take responsibility, then vote Atiku,” he appealed. Hightlight of the rally was the adoption of Governor Nyesom Wike as gubernatorial candidate by 58 political parties in the state. Awka—THERE were fears yesterday that the protracted boundary dispute between Umuenwelum Anam and Nzam community in Anambra West local government area of Anambra State could lead to massive disenfranchisement of voters and likelihood of bloodshed in the area if proactive measures were not immediately taken. The boundary dispute had led to loss of lives and wanton destruction of property in the area and with the approach of the general elections, the issue had become a major source of concern as youths on both sides of the conflict have continued to stage guerilla attacks despite efforts to resolve it. Mr. Nnamdi Anekwe-Chive, a security expert and politician, who hails from the area, told newsmen in Awka yesterday that the one month hostilities had done severe damage to the socio-economic wellbeing of the people in the area, adding that if not properly handled, could adversely affect the forthcoming general election as many voters from the area might be afraid to come out to vote, thereby disenfranchising them. Anekwe-Chive, who is the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the Anambra West constituency for the Anambra State House of Assembly election, also said that the boundary dispute was adversely affecting political campaign in the area and called for urgent deployment of security operatives to checkmate further breaches of peace in the constituency. He said: “This crisis could lead to the disenfranchisement of voters who live across the boundaries of the two communities. It is my humble request that governments, both at state and federal levels, should do something urgently to bring about a permanent resolution of the boundary dispute. “There is need for a joint team of the armed forces to patrol Umuenwelum-Nzam road, Mmiata-Innoma-Nzam road and the adjoining farm camps, where, we believe, some misguided persons have the capacity to unleash mayhem on unsuspecting constituents and strangers on daily basis. “I feel terribly pained that a land dispute that could be amicably resolved would be the basis of this wanton destruction of lives and property that is exacerbating by the day. “Umuenwelum and Nzam communities are long time friendly neighbours and allowing this boundary tussle to become a subject of continued armed conflict that causes untold economic hardship and radicalization of youths in the area, is not in the best interest of the people.” Gist via :- https://nairatrend.com.ng/video-oladips-african-beauty/ Cc ;Lalasticlala, mynd44, Dominique
